(Weve also explored lawless zones) Pure metal spawns seem to be rare. On my island for example all rocks have a chance at copper and with the stone pick you don't get to much copper. However only need 8 metal for metal pick which yeild more metal faster from these same rocks. Once I realized this getting metal has not been so bad.
