Can Xbox players make map markers and waypoints?

So on PC to make a map marker, we simply drag the yellow shevron at the top right onto the map and give it a name, we can then click this marker to get a headsup display of the point marked in game, this is brilliant for marking say a whale when your out on the ocean and then when it comes time to go back and get it with a better ship you just click the marker you made and and sail right toward it.

My question is, how does this work on Xbox.

On xbox open your inventory atlas map and simply click on the dual yellow arrows and add your coordinates
