  1. Hello,

The ship does not take enough damages to be taken into account (provided you keep ressources for repairing) but you are gonna lose a few npcs if you use them.

I would suggest pulling the dragon to shore close to your boat (for respawn) and in an open space so it does not get stuck. With 4 peoples you should be able to kill it with carabines (we did one with 6 people using less than 50 ammo per person).

For the hydra, pulling to a boat with ballistaes and/or cannons is the faster way but a lot of crews just use firearms and/or bows from heights (if you are high enough, she cant hit you).

Please note that, when pulling, the boss will start to walk/fly back to spawn point as soon as you loose aggro so it is easier to do with some backup. I know some members of my crew use bows to pull but i find it easier naked.

    Best regards.

They have been real clear in discord that the PTR, that should be opening today, will be pvp colonies.

    I can confirm this.

No way to claim ships atm. previously I claimed a raft after it was abandoned for weeks (to scuttle), but now I have a raft left in my docks with no way to remove it. Can not claim or demo it at all after weeks of sitting there.

This worries me since it can easily be used  to grief people, block ports or surround galleons and brigs.

    Hello,

Unless they fixed it (I stopped playing a few days after they announced the wipe), you can destroy boats in pve if you are in a zone with rain.

Tornados damage anchored boats and boats on shipyards.

So all you need to do is park a cheap boat next to the one you want to destroy and teleport on it and unanchor every time it rains.

It is slow but we almost lost a galleon and a schooner this way (they started leaking) so it works... or worked.

    Best regards.

  5. Hello,

Craft a head piece of any armor. Have the armor in inventory then drag and drop the eye patch patern on the head piece.

You get the head piece with an eye patch added and it behave like the normal head piece.

    Best regards.

But there are things you won't be able to do, such as stepping on to an ally's ship and going on a voyage together. Unless you have a smart way to do that under the new no alliance rule?

    Hello,

Actually, you can go on the boat of other people as long as it is not anchored (ally or not). The main problem is the bed but it is the same problem if you are ally.

    - "Claim owners will be able to demolish structures (via the pinwheel) on their settlements temporarily as long as the structure has been placed within the last X hours" Captain's Log 23. This will give safety to anyone settling to an owned land. Today, when you build on claimed zones, nothing protects you from the owner changing his mind and demolishing your castle. But same as before, the number should give the owner enough time to react when somebody is spamming pillars everywhere. Like 24h at least.

    Hello,

It is not how it works today. If you remove the rights to build on a flag, the beds dont work anymore but you can't remove the structures already in place.

That's why most "land owners" set their flags to company only.

Every time I allowed some crew to build on one or more of our flags they started building right away and left the game within a day or two. We are then stuck with buildings that the only way to remove is to remove the flag and place a new one (to get ownership of the structures). Wich is only possible if there are no other flags to close.

So we just stopped giving the right to build to anyone except allies (usually to place a bed for fast travel).

Going back to the proposition of the OP, it could work but i see a major problem : It has been more than a month since they introduced the protection system for claims on pve and they still dont manage to count the flags of companies correctly. Hell, some have negative numbers of land flags (wich give a deflag timer of only 10 minutes btw).

    Best regards.

  8. Hello Buck Rider,

You need to get some levels first to have the skill points to start and also a boat (ramshackle from freeport is ok).

Then tame a bear with a decent wild level (20+ not tamed) and craft a shovel (I suggest crafting the shovel first and then respec for taming).

Then make a run around the island collecting every bottle you find. Discard the low quality ones (under 5 or 4 depending on how many you found) and the ones in power stones zones.

Class the remaining ones by servers using folder view in a container. Try to design a route with around 20 maps.

Hop on a boat (Ramshackle will do if you are ok with not keeping the gold) with your bear, the maps and your shovel and proceed to the first treasure (use a map outside the game if you did not discover the area yet). One decent bear should be enough to depop the damned up to journeyman quality maps. If the treasure spot is not accesible on the bear, drop it and go to the next one. While you are looking for the treasures, keep collecting bottles.

    That's it.

    Best regards.
