Caution to anyone grinding Rhino horns for ramming gallies.  I loved the ship, mechanics, and how it handles.  Here's the issue:  When a plank reaches 0 health, regardless of the health of the ship, the ship suddenly sinks.  Instantly.  With no warning.  I hope this is a bug and not as intended.


  2. Hello Pathfinders,

    Here are a few random thoughts that I wanted to share with all of you:

    1.  Economy

    One of the major factors in long term MMO's is, frankly, the economy.  We need a market place that actually connects to other free port areas so that all players have a chance at buying / selling items.  This will fuel trade, trade wars, and make more materials available for all.  It will only cost you some coin!

    2.  Ship Cabins

    With the makeup of each style of ships, I'd propose pre-fabricated, purchasable cabins for each ship.  These could range from luxurious cabins for the front, back or middle, to the war setup which allows the rear planks to be cannon ports.  The cabins should cost plenty of gold and offer some type of small advantage to the ship.  Luxury cabins could offer reduced food and water consumption.  The war setup could offer resistance or damage while the trader setup could offer speed.

    3.  Currents / Trade Winds

    Many players, current and past, complain about the sail time.  While I really don't mind, I do understand the issue.  If there were trade winds / currents, boats could move at a significantly faster pace.  The trade for speed, however, should be offset with the boats icon on the map.  The player will have to choose what is more important; speed or security.

    4.  Home Button / Docking Pass

    I have this suggestion from a company member.  Each boat should have the ability to "teleport home", once every 24 hours.  The ship cannot be in combat during this type of action.  This is for the emergencies which occur in daily life.   The other option is a 24 hour docking pass, purchased in the freeport which allows you to leave your boat there for up to 24 hours, without any decay.  Further, there should be a 24/48 hour cooldown on the ability, or charge double the second day, triple the third, etc., up to three days.  Each day you spend equals a day you are on cooldown.

  3. Dear Grapeshot,

    Please fix your game!  Overall, I enjoy the combat, ship fighting, pvp, pve, building, etc.  What's frustrating is when people are clearly using AimBot, ESP, possess duped materials, ride a flying bear??????, carbines that shoot three consecutive volleys without reload, and cannot be killed in pvp.  This includes being hit with two direct mortar hits.  

    This type of crap is what kills games.  Thanks Chem B for bringing this to realization.  I gave them a lot of credit as just being good PvPer's until I seen this first hand.  Check the logs for EU PvP H2 on 2-12-19/2-13-19 and you'll see.  Take some interest in fixing this please.


  4. Please allow the ship resource boxes to had a distribution option. For example:

    1. Distribute to “Name of Ship”.

    2. Distribute to “Radius of 20 meters”

    3. Distribute to “Radius of 50 meters”.

    You get the point. This allows me to restrict the gold that leaves my boxes so that I’m not feeding the entire harbor gold from one ship box.  

    It would be nice if we could name structures and allow boxes to feed AI through that.

     


  5. For well over 8 hours today, most of the companies on EU PvP have been disconnected.  This allowed several large companies to raid, unchallenged, for this entire time.  While streaming, might I add.  No a soul could get online to defend or help our allies.  At the time of this post, many of us still cannot get online.  Please roll the server's back.

    I have 360+ hours of gameplay.  I work a full time job and stay busy outside of the game.  I'm sure 600+ is easy for a neck beard to do.

    I have 360+ hours on this game.  Today, for the last 8 hours, our allies have been attacked by a STREAMER, who wrecked their entire company.  Where were we?  Unable to do a dang thing due to a login issue.  A roll back is the only way to fix this.  It's not just one company.  This occurred to many, many people.  PvP servers have encountered complete devastation.  

    And I hope you stay.  This is a great game and lots of fun to play.  If you need a company to help you protect offline ships, let me know.  Fair Seas and Good Wind!


  8. Mega tribes seem to be spawning at an alarming rate. Further, on EU, nearly every mega tribe has now allied with each other.  This causes grieving issues and unbalanced game play.  The alliance system in this game is a great concept. For the most part, it seems to work well except in the above instance.

    Whats the solution? That’s easy. A company can ONLY have 500 members / allies period. If you have 250 company members, then you can only ally with 250 other members period.  Companies can still work together outside of their alliances; however, they’ll need to be careful during combat and building.
