  1. I am still out of company no idea what happened

one person logged in he was still in the company and as soon as he bedded to main island he was out of company. The company CEO finally got logged in. He was in company and he checked the logs everyone showed as still in company. Then he lagged for a few secs and he was out of the company

  2. yes cyclones were a bad idea from the get go. especially with large number of SotD you have to constantly avoid most times. Do not forget the temperature fiasco 147F heat wave almost a daily basis and going from 147F to  below 50 F in a minute. The extreme high temp is a killer can not really do anything during the heat wave except to sit in water and watch your health slowly decline. Death Valley does not even get this hot much less on a daily basis. The high for death valley I believe was only 134F but the temp during the summer is about 115 during the day and 90 at night. Death Valley is a desert region not tropical region. Tropical regions are cooler than desert regions yet in this game tropical regions are the hottest regions.

  3. When will the temperature/weather be fixed. Since Day one this has been a issue. I am in a tropical region and it gets to about 120 daily a lot of the time it hits 147F. Death Valley does not even get that hot. It is hotter in the tropical region than it is desert regions. We basically stopped eating since as soon as the day hits we are going to die from the heat anyways. The day is basically wasted due to the heat killing us. Do not say put more in fortitude cause i already have my fortitude at 84 just to hopefully make it through the day time.

I would rather have fixes/balances than more forced play content. I am going to have to do the FoY again already and it has only been week since I did it last. Did it last weekend and I am already 65. The whole aging is thing is broken and having to do the insanely hard FoY or loose you character and everything you have worked to build is well just plan stupid.

  4. when you have to constantly turn to avoid SotD and you avoid 30+ in one zone then there is a problem with too many SotD  Oh and the tactic of running the border does not help If you are getting chased by a SotD and you cross the border it also crosses the border.

I wish they would stop adding content and fix more serious issues and balances. Like the almost daily 147 F heat waves  Desert regions do not get that hot. I want to see game fixes, balances and exploits resolved.

  5. SotD are never rare they are very common. I can go from one island to the other which (depending on wind) can take 2 to 5 minutes and I have to avoid at least 4 to 6 SotD. leave the zone to another island I will have to avoid at least dozen of them, Not to mention they sometimes they spawn late and spawn at half their normal spawning distance.  I believe they SotD do not sit in the water they spawn like the cyclones do constantly in front of you in a wall line every time it rains. Been dealing with the nuisance by avoiding sailing as much as possible. But am forced to sail ate least every 2 weeks to go do the insanely stupid FoY to reset my age to 20. If I do not the constant 147 degree daily heat will constantly kill me. I once I get to age 70 day time comes I log out wait until night comes and log back in

  6. there is no Melee you either use tames to fight or range weapons. If you use melee it will against non hostile animals since hostile animals like lion and tiger will pin you on the first hit and you are dead

  7. after several anchoring tests the chain length is not the issue. The only thing i can think of is that there is a anchoring zone around the islands. I have had to scrap my hull on the bottom  a few times to get the anchor symbol yet I see others that are just down the beach and you have to use a diving suit to get to the bottom where they anchured

  8. in the zone i am in Tropics region every night it get to about mid 50s sometimes but the day well it is always a minimum of 105 every day just about. But alot of days it is heat wave with temps of 147 at times. I die from heat in the water. In the tropics a heat wave it should only get to about 105 so the weather system is broken and has not even been addressed. The insane high temps have made breeding impossible (even if it was working)

  9. we are in the tropics and we are unable to breed at all the babies always usually due to extreme heat (147 F) in the water. this is the daily temp on most days during day it is a min of 105 f the temp swings and max temp is to way to high and unrealistic. during the daily heat wave it should only get to 105 f I know they just copied, pasted and rotated the few islands they made but they did the same to the temps for the regions. the zone we are in is a tropical not a desert but we have the heat of the desert plus rain. That is another issue with travel just cause it rains does not mean there will be cyclones every time. You seen rain coming get anchored fast and wait it out. There is also way to many cyclones that keep spawning in front of your ship as well. I have counted 18 cyclones at one time before.

Given how hard it is to find unclaimed land, with people holding spots that have quit since week one for crying out loud, I am forced to try and find a Lawless area that is not pillar'd or foundation'd up on PvE Hydra. I know Lawless causes faster decay rates but a few Google searches just show people complaining about how fast decay is, does anyone actually know how much faster Lawless islands decay structures and anchored ships?

Thank you in advance for any and all replies and help. Happy hunting.

Addendum: I really hope they fix the land claim issue on PvE. Flag spamming, people leaving sleepers and NPC in spots, etc is just plain broken. No Company of say 3 people should be able to own a damn island and someone that quit weeks ago should have died of starvation by now. It is a broken system and I have many friends that refuse to play because they simply want a single plot someplace to call home and go out adventuring. As it stand now you literally have people selling land on officials for real money. It is a joke.

I live in lawless and try hard to keep a open area for both resource gathering as well as animal taming there are a couple public pen for people to use but passer byes still come ashore and build pens hence why foundations get scattered all round. Buildings do not decay but if they are made of wood or thatch they can get damaged by the wildlife. The Alphas will destroy building pieces and pens to get at the tames inside. There is a 4 day timer on building pieces before someone else can demo them and on lockers/crafting station placed directly on the ground it is 14 days

As far as ships as long as they are anchored they get no damage unless hit by the cyclones then it is not much. I know this for a fact cause i have raft dingy and a ramshackle sloop all abandoned on my shore right next to shipyards and pathways. Have had several people get stuck on them and we have no way to get rid of them.

tl;dr Ohhh another "Atlas is dying" prophet. Youre not getting your way, I understand.  I sympathize, truly, and If you listen closely you can hear me playing the worlds tiniest violin just for you.
There should be a vetting of players that want to play EA games, and ways to revoke that privilege
That would make the whole process so much better by only having people who earn the privilege and can keep it.

If they did this than it would not be EA it would be closed beta If they can buy it then they can play it period. (unless it is against the law within the country they are in) Also if they did what you said if they revoked it from someone then they would have to refund them.

  12. I think they should give the smithy a auto folder for base mats fiber, wood, stone, metal. thatch. with a stack of 5k in each folder and if course since they added organic paste to making the now paper stone building block a folder for sugar. and organic paste with 5k amount as well now also should be able to make organic paste in smithy as well

As I am mainly solo and building decent ship (schooner) is a feat itself right now my main issue is that how can I protect it after I need to log out and go to sleep? Certainly I can't dock it in freeports and all my schooners tend to sink while I am sleeping...is solo playing so dead? should I just move on to other games?

this game is not really for solo play you can do it on PVE servers but on PVP servers forget it not going to be able to. And as a solo player building a stone structure even a small one will be a real challange since they added mats to it that is in a high amount and can be very hard to get. (i.e. expensive) Also with the nerfing of stone and the huge buff to siege weapons Stone is not much better to wood the only benefit now seams to be that animals can not damage stone.

  14. Not to mention not only did they add a very rare/hard to get resource to stone mats in a high amount but they also nerfed the stone damage protection as well. They take 250% more damage from explosive weapons but also they increase siege weapons by 60%. So now the fastest way to take out a stone building is to use a siege weapon to fire explosive rounds/barrels which will just melt stone building like butter in a blast furnace

so basically they want stone and wood structures to have same protection value but if you want a stone looking building you have to pay a very high cost

Crew on a ship require 1 gold every X hours. (X depends ship's level of accommodation and what you assign them to) So if you have a crew member on a cannon, they might require 1 gold every 1.2 hours. If you assign them to nothing that would double to 1 gold every 2.4 hours.

On a galleon running 60 crew members that adds up A LOT. So when you park the ship overnight to log out you have to go through and unseat every crewmember one at a time... again... 60 crew. That's annoying. But then the next day before you can take your ship out you need to reassign every single crew member to every position and THAT is an absolute nightmare.

But the amount of gold you save by doing this makes it almost necessary.

What we need is a way to hold E on our ship, unseat all crew members at once, then be able to hold E again and put them all back on their last assignment assuming they havent been reassigned manually since.

this is exactly why i have not gotten any crew. I do not get enough gold to to keep them paid. They just are too expensive. They should just get a set amount per day or days. ex 1 gold for a RL day. no matter what they are doing. They should also get their own food (ie you should not have to feed them) or at the very least they should get their food from the pantry locker or preserving bag

  17. well there is the child thing but for those of us that do not want to buy the game again to create a 2nd character of the opposite sex to have a kid with. You should be able to go to freeport and adopt a kid. and only be allowed to have one minor adopted child at a time. Also you should not have to pay family members since they will be npc's until you die. They should also act as crew for ships base ect. like other npc crew but no pay and they should not require food. You already have to constantly hunt and gather food to feed yourself and any npc crew you may have. You should only need a pantry locker for them (family and NPC crew) to get food from and not have to put in their inventory. ( I have yet to get any crew but if it works like the animals this is the case)
