    i’m inclined to agree with u , my other theory is they won’t release it as players would just run their own small server and play single player

    i am unable to spawn in any grid only at freeport , even at char creation only option freeport

  4. As long as the Devs are making the new content more sea based it's all good 

     

    They need to get away from. Tames this isn't ark , 

     

    More ships , more ways to customise them , more sea based areas , more sea monsters 

     

    STOP WITH ADDING MORE LAND TAMES AND LAND CONTENT ,AND CONCENTRATE ON SEA BASED ADVENTURE CONTENT

    the sub was advertised as for salvaging then they announce procedurally generated shipwrecks doesn’t take a lot to work out they go hand in hand 

     

    yes u can use diving suit early game before u get the skill points / lvl to make the submarine , same as farming i start off the long way by hand then tools then tames , it’s called progression

    Though I do not mind them locking it behind the kraken, I wish they had not. I think they should have made it more available. The only thing I can think of is that they want it as more of an upper end level thing, giving higher level players who have killed the end "boss", something else to do after. Which was a complaint by a lot of players, that there is not more end game content. If I had to guess id say the devs plan on expanding the trenches for more upper level end game gameplay.

    that is the whole point giving players stuff to do but to lock all  underwater content behind end game bosses  in a game designed to be sea based it a very odd thing to do ,

     

    by by all means have very hard content underwater ,

    but bear in mind they are adding  procedurally generated shipwrecks that will need a sub to salvage so again more content locked away from average everyday players

    it it locks game content behind something g that not a great amount of the player base will see or do 

    take ark none of the endgame content is locked away from solo / duo / small groups so why do it with this game , maybe a quest to unlock it but not behind an endgame boss and end game ghost ships and high lvl island bosses

All ships anchored should have no decay, else you will need freeport banks so we can store our gear. Auto destruct upon decay of all buildings. Set a foundation and no-one else can build in your space.

    keep flags limited per company depending on amount of members , solves all claim issue in one sentence , 

     

    theyvare adding more more islands as well with a flag limit per company there will be more than enough for everyone

    the problem is unless the devs do a reverse on their stupid decision upkeep has to stay 

     

    i , along with the majority want flags to stay but with limits per company depending on how many members they have 

     

    if every keeps asking for this then maybe we can influence them to go that route instead of the stupid lawless crap 

     

    and while  they are at it remove lawless so all islands out side freeport are same system they are adding more islands so there will be plenty of land for everyone

    again 2 isn’t enough as all that would happen is toxic players would place them in resource nodes and build on them blocking them

     

    6 per company up to 10 players , 12 flags per company up to 25 players , 25 flags up to 50 player , 50 flags max over 50-100 players and addupkeep

    the solution  cannot be any simpler , keep old system with the above changes 

    room for everyone and resources can be protected as well , 

    all the suggestion so far about governors and voting for this and that are rubbish 

     

    simpler the system the better .

  12. anyone know why i get invalid server as name of server it’s running shows in server list in game and in steam but shows as invalid server and when connecting crashes the server 

     

    yet doesn’t happen with maps ready made by others , i have even copied settings from them still same ,made an  exact copy of map (with my own ip ports etc) same and still shows as invalid server 

     

    all ports are correct , ip in all correct places , servers names filled out correctly 

     

    i’m lost as to what it can be

    Reasonable upkeep would be fine, but I think a hard 15 day timer, regardless of number of claims you have, would be adequate, because if there is more than enough land already available, and people can't claim beyond their hard claim limit, it won't be an issue. When a timer runs down, there won't be 4 people who have no land, and 3 of the neighbors, and 2 of the big companies fighting for it. They'll already have land, and more than likely have hit their claim limits.

    forgot to add the claim limit part absolutely agree claim limit and upkeep problem solved 

     

    it’s what the player base wants if the devs listen this time and do it they will win major brownie points from the community

    I was under the impression that it was the same as Ark, where once you had the map running on your server, it wouldn't update your copy of the map, but the official server could always be running a different version of that map.

    Which, now that I think about it makes sense, because else if your server was running the same grids that are the ones that will be changed in eastern tundra, and it changed when the update to official changed it, you would have to wipe.

    our unofficial severs we will need to set up the new maps otherwise as u say we can carry on as we are

  15. the biggest mistake they made was releasing server files and allowing players to host ,

     

    supposed to be a giant mmo , what did they think was going to happen to official  servers when they allowed this . 

     

    official server have what 15 max per gird now with most just logging in to refresh timers feed and pay crew 


  16. if there are other flags in the area overlapping  they also need to declaim

    could have been that you were in fact declaiming other flags u were not aware of before it started on the one you could see 

     

    doesn’t just declaim one flag declaims all affected flags in any overlaps
