    Got my legendary large shipyard from Treasure map so not entirely true what u have posted, shipyard drop from maps along with armour, tools,

    this new system was designed to allow anyone to build anywhere that was the  point of it no other reason

    , if the game devs  had wanted island owners to be able to set build permissions they would have included it , instead they gave island owners a limited window to clean up or remove u wanted structures, if they choose not to take advantage of it and keep the island free if span them that is their choice ,they knew how the system was going to work before they claimed the islands then they moan when they can’t keep up with the job of island owenership . 

    island owners can’t have it their own way all the time ,

    and then we are back to the early days of players having nowhere to build again , 

    the point of this system was to stop that . 

    u can’t force alliances just so that people can build.

    Yes and he refused, so my ally placed foundations close enough to his constructions to stop him building anymore, not really the route that was wanted but blocking off portions of island from land travel for no reason other than because that can is not good for the game 

     


  5. after a set time as it is now then your stuff is safe

    , there should never be a way for island owners on a whim to remove established players , Or as seen on these forums players leave the island new owner takes over and decides he doesn't want the player that has been on the island since day one,

    If they don't know them how are going to add it to the game,? of course they know the numbers.so there is no excuses to not put them in the patch notes, so that players can make informed choices about wether they want to build or use them .

    I know in ark that if players blocked areas so you couldn't walk land creatures past they dealt with the offensive players, what is their policy on this,?

     

    And well done devs no claims equals players doing this to stop others building or accessing areas, glad u made this fantastic claim system that no one asked for or wanted 

     

    Problem..is now I have to spam foundations away from my base to stop this player from building right on Top of me so this makes me as bad as him,

    As for the gold it is stupid but some of the crap islands have ramps prebuilt to help you get to bad maps (which I would pay 50% to not have to do what I call Union work). At the same time if you want to starve people of gold to try and make it easier to get new islands you wall off the islands and prevent people from getting gold so their upkeep lapses.

    I believe they should have a bi-weekly assault on your flag in PvE where army of the damned spawn with levels equal to the point value of the island and attack your flag. Nothing super hard but it gives more of a defend the land feeling.

  10. It up to the devs how they allocate their resources but a group finder is needed 

    As for how do you stop your body being looted if you die, easy disable looting of other players bodies on pve, pvp you come back and smash the thieves after all pvp is played by players who want to pvp which includes all risks that game style entails .

    Stopping griefers Is not really a problem.in pve They can't kill you or attack your ships so it's a non issue, pvp make sure you are prepped for the worst. See above 

    Allocating loot Do we know there will be any in dungeon or caves or will it just be similar to the quests we have now go in kill x and collect a buff , or if there is loot  reach end get gold /reward chest maybe it's dug up at end then like treasure chest its distributed to everyone in the group/area Like.it is now , simple solutions using systems already in the game

    The problem isn't that people are unsociable the game is missing what has been a standard in mmo for ever, in game group finder, having to rely on a forum for event organisation is pretty poor .

    Lazy game design to not have included an ingame group finder in a game advertised as an mmo, more so one of this magnitude with the huge area the game covers and the potential player base,

    The game.covers a huge amount of servers the ability  to set options lfg inside an in-game groupfinder for a certain event be it powerstones, kraken, and future dungeons and have it available to all grids is not that bad  of a request it would certainly help the smallest of company's and even the larger ones could use it to offer help for the smaller companies,

     

    players need to stop with the its an mmo argument go make friends be sociable ,players are the game just doesn't have system in place for a proper mmo  to make this smoother 

     

     


  12. Exactly what the op has said? Which part of skill to use higher quality item did u not understand anyone can use common items its the higher stuff the change need to happen to promote trade

     

    the skill points that allow players to USE items of higher quality should be removed 

    Where as the skill points to make it should STAY 

    This would allow players who skilled into MAKING  items a way to then sell them no matter the quality to other players

    The Kraken does not gate you from exploring the trenches you can just use a dive suit. You can also still tame crabs using the dive suit it is just more difficult.

    As a game Atlas is an MMO and is not meant to be solo/duo the difficulty (kraken 1.0 is soloable btw, not easy but doable) for those that don't want to be that hardcore I posted that I was setting up a kraken run and had over 100 players want in. You don't need to have a big tribe to do this just be open to talk to other people and set it up. So to me the gate of the submarine and the gate of the polar dungeon are both acceptable because when you unlock it you will get a sense of accomplishment that adds a depth of satisfaction to this game.

    Similar happened to a group on Sunday, started kraken just for the hell of it ,there are some real asshats about 

     

    On the mmo side yes it is, but the sub was heavily advertised and featured in the forefront for the big update then to find out locked behind end game boss for no reason at all other than because they can is denying basic content to a large majority, 

    Did u not read the op a lot of people enjoy mmo but due to what ever social inadequaties are unable to join groups , so resort to in my opinion to a glitch by just being outside the barrier to unlock the sub, that is the only way a lot of players will ever get the sub, 

    If the devs are going  to continue down this road of solely group content then they will never see any significant player base growth, 

    The devs need to think about what they are  adding and how to not exclude solo and small 2-3 man companies from any new content, it would great to have the same content I.e a dungeon and have it instanced so that large groups can go in on harder settings, solo/ small groups can go in on easier ones taken could have been done like this there is a barrier anyway so there could be been different setting for it. 

    Wow does this very well with their dungeon system time for the devs to stop making and using the system they designed for ark and start thinking like they are actually developing an MMO which co we players of all types from solo to mega companies 

     

    Player base growth is achieved by designing all content to all player types ,

    Please reconsider the very odd decision. To lock such a staple item in a sea-based game behind end game.bosses, all this leads to is a lot of players not able to access a large amount of game content, 

    For pve players the more content they have the longer they will stay around, are u going to lock end game dungeons behind some odd boss kill or collection of 1000 keys from the kraken? No then why lock the sub away from a high proportion of the player base 

    One thing I have also noticed is a lot of players especially pve just wait for a kraken attempt  and hang about outside the barrier to unlock the sub, is this good game design? No 

    And before all the usual get a group and do the kraken arrive , its possible to do yes ,but not everyone has the time to build the necessary ships and have the gold to crew it, and organise an event, they may also have trouble in social situations, 

     

    Tldr: reconsider the sub locked behind kraken

    when u enter the menu select join new server , select the server u played on and hit join it will load into your char wherever u left it ,
