Another vote for single player. The cost to run private server is very expensive right now. I really don't want to spend hundreds of hours only to have the server disappear . Single player will also allow me to use mods that are hopefully coming out like S+ (the fence building in Atlas is terrible) and the ability to erase SOD from most of the maps etc.

I cant go exploring in my sloop at all. The SoD ships circle the island and TOTALLY remove the fun in exploring. Getting good wind..tacking to the destination are sometimes challenging enough. Add a storm and a few SoD and you are dead.  I want to explore!  Make the SoD ships around "Haunted Isle" in the center of each grid. OR make them only come out every "blood" moon once a week in game time. I can anchor up somewhere and hide. ALSO the SoD ships should NEVER target an anchored ship or a ship with no weapons (cannons). Unless they are dramatically reduced to one small area so those who want to fight can do so. 

Being able to lower anchor in deeper water is BADLY needed for sloops still. I have to almost run aground to anchor or go far away from the coast to anchor. I have deep water to safely launch ships..but I cant anchor them.   Farther out I have had 2 ships destroyed by SOD ships.  Please make the anchors on all ships much longer!!
