Got my gulp of life, but it's most stuped encounter in game so far. Just corpse run and sloop spawn from nearest freeport. Really?

Guys don't get me wrong. Cooking is possible after the farming patch. But it is a huge chore to make and if I wanted to spend my gaming time cooking, i d that in real life as a job.I totally agree with water problem!

IMO make cooked food last much much longer. Make cooked food act as a meal: Fills you up/brings your vitamins into equilibrium/if soup also hydrates you . Make it easy: generic meat vegetable/water.
Currently effort put in feels like a waste.
Let me disagree one more time. Tier 3 cooking is awesome. Buff is very good, maybe not so long as it could be. but still is very good. We don't have alchemy so cooking is very good alternative.

You can see this buff in inventory with normal numbers and discription. But buff don't worth it, even if you really want it you can keep it with just cooked fish meat, eggs and few berries. You don't need cooking skill for this. This buff and vitamins need ZERO point in cooking, don't need 100500 different fruits, herbs, meat, fish, milk and etc. It can be easy managment with almost raw matrials.

Blah, you don't need cooking for this. If you really thing that spend 10 hours trip on other side of map for bring you few vitamins it's point of cooking skill tree than let's i will just agree with all your points of view and close this discusse.

You just did it again being dismissive of the EQ buff Nari mentioned. Try to realize that your approach to the game isn’t the only approach that makes sense. You don’t care for a buff fine, that doesn’t mean others can’t or shouldn’t value it.
Yes, but topic about cooking Not about Vitamins managment or EQ buff, right? That why far far away thing is good, but they can't be acceptable reason about cooking.

If you don't live in tundra or not on important task that requiment stay alive. It's not even something you mention.

If dying accelerates aging once the breeding/aging/lineage mechanics are fully implemented and older characters experience stat rebuffs as has been implied will be the case, then dying will have a downside and no longer be the most convenient option. You might find the tea useful then.
Sure, when(if) mechanic will be fully implemented. Cuz most people already cry about "make it simple", so i don't sure if it be implemented at all. But right now Vitamans is just some other don't worked properly thing.

Sorry, but Vitamin's managment is not part of any day by day gameplay. Most time easy just die and don't bother with it at all. If you have atleast around 40 fortitude, you wil diel more offen from wild animals than from Vitamins ) Not point at all.

What is not reasonable is to have to spend 3 hours gathering meat for a small amount of produced food. I agree with the inceptive of travelling and promoting movement across the map, I just disagree with the fact that you need to spend too much time and effort for a minimal gain. Because to fill up a preservation bag takes much more time than it should
Right now faster way get meat - killing alphas, but i still don't know fast way get prime fish meat.

2 minutes ago, azmoodeus said:ah nice. In what biomes do you find rosemary?
Ohh, tempereted or tundra can't tell you for sure last week i travel to much. But i have 4 preservation bags on ship so if find something usefull just full loaded it.

1 minute ago, Darien said:Problem is that you cannot mass produce easily. It takes a lot lot of time which is counterintuitive to the rest of the gaming experience
Yes, it's take time, but that the point. It's reasone for explore or trade. 1 full preservation bags give you resourse for 100 dishes. Right now you will lose 1 cooked food in stuck everyday.
I agree that low and mid tier cooking must give buff too, but system not so bad at all. -
10 minutes ago, azmoodeus said:Which one is it that gives stam buff? Spiced rum?
I can see why the buffs would make up for some of it but still it's pretty steep to ask one to spend that amount of points when everything else is just so much better.

5 minutes ago, azmoodeus said:I really struggle to see the point in investing points into cooking when going out and get some veggies, berries, fish and meat is a much simpler way of achieving the equilibrium buff.
Dunno, but Stamina buff is brilliant and don't forgot that it work on animals as well.

Cooking is not so bad. So far i see only 2 problem.
1. Water.
2. There is no reason cook anything except high tier dishes with buff.- 1

You just forgot one simple thing. In RL you belong to some country who is your "Company" that give you protection and let you be.

Dunno, they do QA work, and if you ask me, they do it good.

Right now you can easy tame wolfs, bears, lions and tigers.

We try sail today for gems with our Schooner. It's like suicide mission.

Here is some of my rambling thoughts on what you are asking for.
Claims are reduced to one per player/company as you ask, then all the land is claimed and built on and you have your bit of land with buildings and shipyards.
Here is what happens next, you start building your shipyard and go for a Brig which is 20k + of a lot of resources, you gather and get your brig built along with other people then you go out to sea and a ship of the dammed sinks your Brig.
Upon your return to start building another brig you find that all the resources are not respawning because of all the buildings and now you can't build or sail anywhere.
Add to that the fact that you may have built a bank to "tax" your land and find that with no resources on your small claim you can't tax anything and your bank is a useless building that you may as well demolish.
Tax bank it's for huge company not for 1-3 people.
Resources respawning is bugged like hell right now. So it's weak point too. -
My two cent.
1. You can't contest land without official war.
2. Company must get own progress system. Not just more players = more lvl.
3. All Company start with 1 flag, if you join company you don't have your own flag.
4. Flag must be upgraded. There is 2 option: active upgrade system or passive. Active you spend res and upgrade it. Passive more building around flag more zone of control.
P.S. Before claim system is start working without bugs, there is no reason for wipe servers or any other active action from dev.- 1
Stop listening to PVE'ers they are going to destroy your game.
