This change is stupid. Like many other ideas the devs had. 

Think good and long about all ressources needed for some builds, before releasing a game. So for now i need metal and organic paste to build my harbour city? Just overnight, you've changed the system? Thats so frustrating, seeing devs they don't play theyre own game or just with admin tools. No testing, just changing and waiting for the next shitstorm?

It is not on C6 now. What a Lagfest. Sorry Devs but this idea is more than stupid. 

It is interesting to see, there is no moderation and admins in forum.

Right. If someone calls himself Germania like the SS Special Forces and the planned capital city of the nazis, named his Ship SS Buchenwald, it is totaly clear for every german what his intention is. And sure, thats just my opinion.

No, the KZ Buchenwald was build on a Hill called Ettersberg near the Town of Weimar. There was never a town called Buchenwald. So please stop talking bullshit.

Even Sailing Ship Ausschwitz is no hard evidence. Actually, your posts could be misread to an account of: "You live in Buchenwald and want to call your ship Sailing Ship Buchenwald, thean you are a NAZI! Leading to you are living in Dachau (another Concentration Camp) or Bergen-Belsen, well, then you are a Nazi. Oops, and the soldier of the second Armored Brigade (British) that were stationed, following this argumentation, would have been Nazis, too. I hope you see where some panicing and always referencing history in any casse, even though maybe not applicable, might lead to.

Buchenwald and Ausschwitz aren't cities. These are just the names of the nazi killing camps.

Sure... SS means Sailing Ship.... nice try. And Buchenwald is just a nice place to be? 

If a german player uses Words like Buchenwald an SS and even Germania together, it is clear what this means. 

Germania, was the Name of Hitlers SS Special Group and the wantetd name of his planned capital city. Buchenwald was a concentration camp to kill Millions of people. So if you think this is ok, i don't have any more words.

today I had to realize with dismay that there are also players in Atlas who glorify and propagate the Holocaust and the systematic murder of millions of people. On our island on the EU PVE server "Sirens Call" in square D10, a ship named "SS Buchenwald" like the Concentration Camp moored today. Also the abbreviation SS for Schutzstaffel. This Schutzstaffel was significantly involved in murder and many war crimes. We made screenshots of them and I ask the developers to take action against such glorifications of the Third Reich and its crimes. I can understand that not in all countries of the world a serious consideration of these events in the Second World War can be expected, but a glorification of these events should be banished and massively punished. It can also be clearly seen that the responsible players are well aware of what they are doing.

If you need mor Infos, just ask me. I am not a friend of Name & Shame but this is something i can't tolerate.

I would also like to point out that the things described are a criminal offence in Germany and other European countries.

Hello dear developer, hello dear community. 

As a lover of old ships and their construction, I'm a little surprised that a game that deals with the great age of sailing ships, so little attention is paid to the correct rigging of ships. Sometimes the names of the ships are defined only by the sails, or their type. When I look at the types of sails that can be produced in the game, I notice that they are based on certain types of sails, but they are not really useful. Basically, the current subdivision into square sails and scraper sails makes sense. Maybe a different way of construction would be useful in the game. So in the form that every shipbuilder equips his masts with sails himself. Another possibility would be to add more types of sails or masts with different rigging. A possibility for scaling the masts during installation would be useful.

On ships such as the Brigantine, mixtures of the two types of rigging were originally used to take advantage of different wind situations. Square sails are ideal for sailing with the wind, while scraper sails are used for sailing close to the wind. It is important to understand how sailing works physically.  When sailing with the wind, the sails are filled with wind and the ship is propelled. Every child knows this from the bathtub. Blow hard and the ship starts sailing. Sailing close to the wind works more like a wing of an airplane. Between windward and leeward, where windward is the side facing the wind and leeward the side facing away from the wind, there is a difference in pressure that pulls the ship forward.

On the picture you can also see fore sails, which can be used with an additional bowsprit, which you can buy in the game. You should also be able to use them.

So, dear Developers, if you need some help, just hit me. Or maybe you will find a good help in a Shipbuilder or old Sailor.

I also noticed wrong orientations of the handling / scraper sails.  They should be inverted if you drive at the wind.
