I sailed to a new island, out of nowhere a croc shows up and eats me through the deck of my ship. I respawn, there are 3 crocs around my ship. I die while my screen is still white from respawning... Fun!

I agree, I got a croc chasing me while exploring in my sloop. It chased me forever, hitting me through the boat with his insane speed. When I tried to respawn it had eaten my bed on the sloop as well, so I could never return to it

I wasn't paying attention and sailed right into a shipyard. Now I can't get out

Any suggestions?

I play solo... Build a base, a Schooner and 2 Sloops. Making a trading outpost atm. It is not impossible )

• Luring wolves and lions into the water makes them easy to kill.
• Levels don´t mean that much. A level 30 character still dies really quickly to a level 1 predator.
• You can cut up your own corpse for free skins and meat.

I think when you pick it up the game calculates what kind of item you get and NO ITEM is apparently a possibility. Not sure, but picked up many maps from bottles and indeed sometimes I don't get anything. Haven't had any maps expire on me though.

I suggest investing in what you are trying to do at that moment and then simply respec when ur done. U wanna explore the bottom of the sea? Spec into swimming. U wanna build ur ship? respec for that etc.

They need to change the way they communicate these updates. Like a message on repeat. I just logged in, took all my gear and went out. Prolly lost everything again...

I was out hunting with good gear on enjoying the game. A message pops up that the servers will be down, because of a small update in 5 mins. Love the update, not a big fan of the 5 minute warning. Did not have enough time to get back to base. Logged back in to find out I died losing all my gear. THNX!!!
