Also with the new claim mechanic it is now possible to steal vast amounts of territory from the mega companies very quickly. It sounds dangerous but I assure you it works. Just check out the live playatlas map to see where the mega companies have their main bases (areas where there is a high concentration of claims) and claim territory where those same mega companies only have 2-3 claims. You shouldn’t be contested as they most likely don’t have beds there. I did this yesterday and we were taking land very easily in a good area. Also make sure you don’t claim too much land or otherwise your own flags will be quicker to capture. This last update has been a godsend for smaller groups.

 

additionally, you can now share land with allies. This has led to my company and 6 other small companies join forces without the need to merge into one company. It has also helped each member of each company specialise in a specific skill tree to ensure we have everything available to all groups.  It’s kinda like a cheesy roleplayer town atm but it really works well.

looks like the same thing happen to us. Some coward sunk our sloop and schooner while everyone was offline.

Yeah it's total crap. The new changes made it impossible to claim land from anyone. We tried it on a guild that owns two full islands 100 plus claim flags and it was going to take 5 or more hours. Anyone that doesn't have land is stuck on free port or lawless. 

Good work It's better than the official one.

The claimed land is not up to date. B13 on Kraken's Maw is all taken

My, lord this last patch made claiming land impossible. It now takes 5 hours to take a small plot of land from a company that has 100s of claims. It takes 19 hours to take land from someone that has very little land. That's ok, for someone that has a couple of claims, but these company's that have claims on two large islands should be a lot easier to contest.

 I guess it's a lawless island for life. GG
