How do we find out how a boat sunk? (only sensible answers pls after reading the whole post)
my company were sailing our recently Constructed Brigatine from our home in D5, treasure map hunting, we cruised down into D6, and were headed towards the "Gloomy Reef" island, when we were sailing near to the island, for absolutely no reason whatsoever, the boat appears to have hit an invisible wall (the water was most definitely deep enough for a ship to sail, we lost sight of the wreck as it sank into the abyss, we are playing on the EU PVE Sirens Call server, so we weren't sunk by other players, and there were no ships of the damned on screen to have sunk us, there were no hostile creatures nearby that could have instantly destroyed all 4 front planks on the ship, so we were left at a loss as to why we lost the ship, luckily we managed to get the whole crew and tamed animal off the ship, and quick travel back to our home island and send for a rescue boat to pick up the stranded company members, I don't mind losing a ship if there's an obvious reason, we lost a schooner to the Ships of the Damned before the nerf after zoning into 4 of them, we've lost a 2nd schooner while logged off, presumably to griefers, but again no obvious reason for that loss, as it was after the nerf to the ships of the damned that stopped them agroing onto anchored ships.
can't see any way in game to petition grapeshot/admins to look into this, or are the official servers much like Ark, and mostly unmonitored?
