DevKit Issues: Custom Smithy Can't Craft

I have been trying to make a custom smithy with double crafting speed for a mod I am working on but I am having an issue. I'm able to learn the engram, craft the smithy, and place it down but I am unable to craft any of the engrams inside of it. They show up perfectly fine, but even with resources inside they remain greyed out and unable to be crafted. Has anyone else experienced this or may know how to fix it?
