Anyone been successfully able to destroy ghost ships with schooner?

if its possible, we are immediately building a schooner with cannons and going hunting. i'm tired of my third sloop being landlocked.

Maybe we weren't good enough but our schooner was sunk by the sotd, we only had two cannons on each side, so maybe not enough firepower. Their salvoes were just so accurate once they got in close they rarely missed, whereas we missed a fair bit.

I don't know about alone, but a few schooners worked together to take one out in L7. They lost one in the process.
