Today we decided to go and try tame a Rhino, little did we know it was going to be completely aids. We set off to O13 to go gather some delicious turnips, we thought 300 would be enough for a beautiful Rhino. We then placed the turnips in a feeding trough to reduce the decay time (Goes from 5 mins to 20 mins) Then we travelled back to our home land N10 to get our arrows, bolas (we thought 30 would be enough never knew we could be so wrong) Set our sails to I7 on Williers Cay where the big beautiful Rhino's are, spot a nice level 20 Rhino knock it down and feed it a Turnip... 0.4% Taming per Turnip... Okay! Lets try get a lower level Rhino, find a level 2 Rhino, this time we will let our taming friend with all the taming proficiency boosts..... 0.6% per Turnip for a level 2.... You could only get 1.5% taming done per bola.... WHY ARE THE TAMING RATES SO LOW.

This has gotten ridiculous. On our small, very small, island, we have alpha snakes, wolves and vultures that spawn almost every 20 minutes. Most of the time all together. I can currently see 2 alpha vultures and 2 alpha giant snakes just within my render. It makes the game unplayable. This is a regular island, things should not overspawn this much and keep you from doing something as basic as farming trees. This needs fixed and soon.

Been living in the Polar regions (15 sections) for about 2 weeks now and although it was pretty much an insane nightmare at first, it's really warmed up to be a place I'm proud to call home along with my company/alliance. Couple things I couldn't help but notice about it that I really wanted to comment on, one of which was a pretty important one that I tested out tonight. First thing to know about the polar/artic regions if you don't already know is that there's only 4 main types of animals you'll come across aside from birds and creatures of the sea. Those are - Yetis, Bears, Penguins, and of course the Wolves. My suggestions mainly consist of taming/breeding related stuff. First thing is that you can't breed wolves right now. They're pretty easy to tame if you build a custom taming pen or even if you stand on a rock/using a climbing pick to climb onto a rock formation. But there's no option to breed them. Not sure if this was intended because out of the wolves/bears/yeti's they're probably the easiest to tame despite being crazy to deal with. I have about 8 of them now but haven't tamed anymore because I'd love to just start breeding them. Would like to suggest that gets added. Second - Can't tame yeti's right now. Tested this out with a friend when we managed to trap a yeti in a pen and it was looking at him. Was standing behind the yeti for about 2 minutes and the option to feed it/notification that it's not ready to feed never popped up. This one makes sense considering how powerful and beefy yeti's are (starting out with over 2000 health) but this would be a nice feature to have if it is supposed to be there (along with the breeding). Third - Penguins. If we're supposed to get prime fish meat to feed penguins that leaves us with trying to kill sharks and probably dolphins/angler fish. It would be nice if we could get prime fish meat, even a little from regular fish or at the very least manta rays. Penguins really help with generating body heat so they would be great for survival in these super cold regions. Hopefully these are breed-able currently. Fourth and Last - Bears can't seem to breed in these regions or have an extreme requirement to start breeding right now. We have people in our alliance that have been breeding bears for a bit now in the tundra zones (14 section) but I feel that it would also make sense if under the right circumstances in the 15 zones you could breed them too. I get that they might not want to if it's too cold but I was trying everything to get an incubation/breeding center setup and nothing worked. This was the third setup I tried - https://imgur.com/a/bGZ6mZ2 but still no luck. Was attempting to get penguins to try and generate extra heat for them but I doubt that would've worked. My last suggestion is if it's actually enabled and they just need to be warm enough, maybe the bear breeding requirement heat wise could be lowered to something reasonable? Like a full enclosed space with or w/o one campfire or about 0 degrees requirement. And if it's not currently enabled for polar/artic zones then it would be great if it could be. These mammals are all we really have access to right now down here without having to go back and fourth from tundra to do it. Would give even more incentive to live down here for sure.

Hi, I don’t know if this has been brought up but after the patch me and a couple of people are having problems saddling and accessing new mounts inventory. You get the sub menu but when you press to add saddle nothing happens. The If I ‘press F’ on the mount nothing happens. This only happens on newly tamed mounts, the ones tamed before the patch works fine. Is anyone else having this problem?

Please make the horse taming similar to ARK where you ride and feed it/or break it. Having to chase it down while it glitches everywhere to bola it x12 is so ridiculous.

Right now farming needs a major boost even with the upcoming yield changes. Also they need to give seeds back. Ark had an awesome system for it. I'm not sure why you moved away and put a mini game on it. Not everything needs a mini game. Some things should be simplistic. Spoil timers needs to be adjusted to. I have salt, bags and larders. But if I go to bed at night things spoil. Secondly. Please make bolas stack. It's kinda annoying having 30 individual ones in my inventory. Or make a bola last longer so we don't have to have so many in our inventory. So did some more taming. This system is really horrible as it is. I've got the taming stuff in skill tree. I could harvest stuff faster by hand then having to go a gazillion zones away to get the required food. Then spend hours making stuff in hopes stuff doesn't spoil or I run out of ammo/bolas. Then you have the lawless zones are foundationed out where you can't even safely trap an animal if you need to make more stuff or go get more taming food. If you die and some person comes along the chance to lose everything. This seriously needs some work.

Currently I'm trying to tame and breed bears, and I've discovered I cannot breed them due to "Unable to breed in this Biome". Upon further investigation I found that they need to be bred in the biome they were tamed in, though I'm breeding them 20feet from where I tamed them. Would it all be possible to include in the Tame menu their prefered biome or biome tamed in? Example: Armor: 25.0 Wild Levels: 39 Tame Levels: 24 Biome: Temperate Wood, Desert Sand.

I read someone's suggestion about animal traps and I wanted to repost it for greater visibility. The current taming method only works if you build some kind of trap house. It would be more fun if it was added to the skill tree. Animal Trap Tier 1...Animal Trap Tier 2 etc. Let us place appropriate bait in the trap and wait for an animal to be trapped. Then we feed it through the trap feeding window. Or at least allow us to make rope and hog tie them once it is bola'ed. Having the animal constantly escape and then need to be nearly killed every 2 minutes doesn't really seem like a good idea to tame something.

I can't level up some of my animals (low lvl only). XP show 100% but level up is unavailable. I think this happens when animal get enough XP for 2 or more levels at once. You can level it up one time and it is stuck and can't leveling.

Not sure if this is just me, but I have been having an issue with lower level monkeys that stop gaining experience and won't level. This has happened to me at least ten times with male and female monkeys of varying levels. What happens is this: Tame a monkey, its sits on my shoulder and I do a bunch of stuff. I set it down to apply its level points and once the monkey reaches lvl 8, the experience bar remains full but there are no more level up points for me to place and the monkey stops gaining experience and won't level up. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, or if I'm just super lucky. --EDIT-- So as of 6 January 2019, this leveling glitch has been cleared up. Thank you devs for your quick handling of this and many other bugs!

After spending a fair bit of time prepping to tame a wolf and actually taming one (A level 2), I decided to take it out to do some leveling. Here are the issues : 1) No shared XP between wolf and rider, wolf got all of it. 2) Once levelled, put 2 points in HP which increased it for a total of 12 (Kinda small don't you think? If you got 20 levels that would total 120hp, which isn't even half the wolfs health). 3) The real kicker, Once my wolf got those 2 levels, it hit level capacity, and wouldn't level any more. 2.... levels... 4) While i was mulling this over, and killing things with my wolf, 2 alphas spawned in the same area while the wolf was out of stamina, and one killed the wolf. Sad but let's be honest, he wasn't the greatest... But when I went to grab the saddle, there was no corpse, or loot bag. The wolf and everything it had on it had vanished upon death..

Ive been wondering for a while how to tame myself a croc, anyone have an idea?

As the title says, I want to be able to tame foxes! Like it would make sense for them to live in the forest or snow regions. I can understand that they were not in Ark but they were definitely common animals in the pirate times!
