Dear fellow Pathfinders, A new BUFF for ships! Please! "Take me Home": After moving/Sailing for X minutes (10-15minutes maybe), Out of combat (30min without taking damage from enemy/PVP boat), with no enemy players in render distance. You gain the "Take me home" BUFF. This BUFF give you 20% extra Sailing speed. This BUFF is lost if: Enemy player or pvp ship enters render distance / Collision with SOTD or ship takes damage. The wind mechanics are fun and a good dimension to Ship pvp encounters. But lets admit it, when you have to sails hours and hours (i mean its literaly 1h here, 3 hours there when its not 6 hours...) That slow wind or bad wind we are experiencing everyday adds no fun at all to the game (when traveling long disctances), but for PVP encounters its good. This buff could also be stackble: 1st stack after 15min (+20% speed), 2nd stack 30min later (+35%) , 3rd stack (+50%) 45min later if all conditions are maintained for that long (moving/out of combat/ no enemy players in render) for really long travels. +50% maximum at 3 stacks. The numbers are only suggestions and need to be tested, but you get the idea If you like this suggestion or have any idea to improve it please post/ Upvote. See you guys on the Atlas!

A little backstory on me: I came to this game looking for a pirate/sea fantasy style game. I had never been a fan of Ark, or any survival games... but the genre has grown on me since trying Atlas. I was/am a fan of Summit1g, and love his videos from Sea of Thieves. I came into this game expecting a Sea of Thieves style game, but with building, and more MMO elements. Most of my time in this game has been on board Brigantines and Schooners, doing ship PvP, raiding, and naval combat. I consider myself quite experienced in PvP, and I'm very proud of my company and their performance against every type of opponent. I've poured countless hours into the game. I can safely say I've dabbled in pretty much every element. Now, with that said, I'd like to lay some heavy criticism at your feet, in the most respectable way possible: #1 - Are we going for 'Realism'/Simulation, or fantasy? What do we weigh more, fun gameplay, or realistic experiences? -Carbine reload timers are 15 seconds, yet we have giant crabs... which, are seemingly impossible to kill with said carbines. The jury is still out, but it appears to require liquid flame, several people coordinating perfectly timed grenades, maybe an explosive barrell, some harpoons, and other tamed animals to maybe kill one. Hopefully the crab doesn't jump over the mountain and instantly heal back up though. And look, I'm fine with silly crab monsters --- but can you give Firearms the same treatment? Let us load that carbine in 3-4 seconds, maybe faster with talents, and actually hurt the giant mutant crab. If we're going to fun - that's great, let's address the unfun things and turn down the realism on them a bit. Vitamins, reload time, freezing to death, etc. If we're going for realism, that's also great - let's tone down the power of tames, especially the giant ones. #2 - Ships have a weight limit, a crew limit... but no listing / balance mechanic. You can have 15,000 kilos on your ship, with 12k KG loaded directly on the rear of your ship. Again, what are we going for here? Are we going for realism? If so, implement some system for listing. Are we going for fun and creativity? Lessen the restriction on crew and weight. I don't like having to tell company members they can't ride on my Brigantine because I don't have a crew slot open or room for the 100kg they're going to take up. #3 - Death, Beds, item scaling and Naked Players. I feel like the entire concept of death in this game needs a long look. Naked players are at the same time way too effective at controlling the meta game. Capturing islands, defending islands, riding tames, etc. Naked vs. common gear is a very marginal difference. Yet on the flip side, a player in full common plate, with a carbine or blunderbuss, melee weapon, vitamin buff, etc... is completely worthless against a player in Legendary or Mythical Gear, or riding a decent tame. We need a more linear scaling system. Paradoxically though, naked players can stall out even the most well geared raid force for HOURS by simply running, contesting, placing structures, etc. Beds need a limit on how many times they can be used in PvP. Perhaps a durability hit each time they are used for a PvP death.

Atlas Springs is currently 5x5 running a mix of pve and pvp maps. Looking for people to help design/balance a pvp setting that focuses on supply-lines and rare resource control. Everyone can build 24/7 on your island. Island owners cannot demolish anything built by a non-company member. In combat phase 9 hours of of the day anyone can build cannons and whatever else they want on your island. ANYONE can build cannons... EG: why the hell does it matter if I stop my allies from putting down cannons during peacetime... when they can just wait and put cannons up during combat? ( did you guys even use your head on this? ) Structures are a luxury of the defender and should not be something an attacker gets... this is a completely fucked system and needs to be changed ASAP. So we are clear. You mad a mechanic to please forums nerds that don't play your game. This mechanic is... Anyone can build anywhere... I am guessing this was to allow solos, smalls, and noobs play the game right? Wrong land owner is gonna see this... wait till peace time or not wait and just utterly destroy that place.... The only thing this mechanic does is make it easier to attack the island....

This allows for quite a different tactic. Rather than the lawless the freeport has no enemies apart from *humans*.

Its nice to have this forum. But wouldn't it be utterly cool to have an auction house in freeports where you could auction in game items, tames and services? Comparable with the ones in LOTRO. Along with a rentable vault.

I already made a suggestion post, I think gun damage vs tames needs to be at least tripled ,and puckle dmg needs to be quadrupled. Maybe even more is needed, you can see actual numbers in the suggestion link at the bottom. If you have fought against tames and flame swivels yet, you might think the same. If you like this suggestion, upvote this or the suggestion post please!

Welcome to JetEye Paradise! We host gaming servers for various different games! Currently our servers are running Atlas on a 7x7 grid which is split between two servers located in Thailand and central USA. You can seamlessly sail between these servers and venture across the entire grid. The rates are 10x Tame, 5x Harvest, 3x XP for PVP and 5x Tame, 2x Harvest, 2x XP for PVE. I have a suggestion for solve the problem with the solo player, Why don't make a non-pvp port with a bank for gold, values things, crew and 1 ship? (for a price of gold) Only for player without a company.
