  1. My company was really happy for the razing, but we didn't get to do it since they took it away. We have an epic amount of litter on our island and now we are stuck with it. There needs to be a way to remove stuff off islands especially as land owners. We pay for the island, we own the island, but yet we cannot do what we want to do nor build what we want where we want because previous owners or freeloaders just clutter it with garbage.
  2. Just another suggestion. Thoughts? Obviously it's tweakable.
  3. I am missing one key aspect of the pirate fantasy and that is stealing ships. Of course it would suck to come online and your ships are not only destroyed but even worse, they are stolen. So here is my idea: Every ship is claimable like it is now but with one change. If the ship is not anchored, the further away it is from any coastline the less time is required to claim a ship. So from the current default time of several hours down to 1 hour minimum if in open waters. If a claim occurs in open water the default of 1 hour is increased/decreased by +-10% for every crew member the defending group differs from the attacker. The moment a claim flag is placed on a ship it can't be scuttled and parts cannot be demolished. For example: If the defending ship has 5 crew member (npc, tame or player) and the attackers get on board with 5 members aswell it is evened out and the claim time will be 1 hour. If the attackers have 6 members on board. The claim time is reduced by 10%. (Of course the numbers are just an example more or less might be better/worse) So what does that mean? Finally we can board enemy ships and steal them. It would require a lot of skill and strategy. This would open up new strategies and possibilities for PvP and Roleplay. Your ships would still be safe in your harbor because of the insane amount of claim time. I have never seen a ship without crew in open waters. So it would bring a new aspect to PvP. Not only stealing a ship. But what about stealing it back? I would love to board enemy ships, fight on the deck, kill the crew to get an advantage over the other crew. If this is a viable strategy, it could change PvP fights. Would love to see rope shots for ballistas to actually attach your ship to the opponents (but that might be too much) So what do you guys think?

  5. I have taming and Piracy. As a pirate, I can make cages, nooses, handcuffs, etc. But the last ability in the Piracy Tree... is USELESS in PVE. How can I claim a ship that I can't even get on? Instead we get the floating "bug" and you can't do anything except die or hope someone grapples you out. Also, having to knock someone out to handcuff them... sure... that's cool. But they can still run away when they wake up. Grappling Hook isn't exactly great looking (or efficient) when dragging someone to a cage or something. Maybe enable the Bludgeon to be able to knock out anyone in PVE (does no damage, just increases Torpor). It would help when trying to arrest and punish bad visitors. But... basically almost the entire Piracy Tree is useless. I have abandoned boats in my Harbor that have been there for weeks and I can't even claim them as a pirate! This needs to be fixed. Especially for PVE. Pirates and Captaineering people should be the only ones that can board/claim ships... While they are anchored. Consider each ship has a flag and there should be an appropriate flag timer. Of course Pirates with the last Skill can declaim faster. This will help fix the abandoned boats issues in PVE without having to wait for 3 weeks of inactivity when it only takes 1 spawn to "reset" it for another 3 weeks. Treat each ship as flags, just like land claims. Pirates can claim ships faster. Cannot be claimed until the flag timer runs down due to inactivity. The more ships the company has, the lower the timer is... just like with land claims as they are now.
  6. I found a claim from an inactive user with nothing built on it but a little firepit and I'm able to take it, awesome! But, since it seems to be their only claim it will take 6 hours to take. ...Okay. That's rough, but I can do stuff around the house while I afk here and wait it out... except... Anyone that runs by contests the DECLAIM and it refreshes the timer back to 6 hours. Someone running from a wolf, hunting, or just passing by, it can't be taken. I understand claim (vs DECLAIM) contesting, but an rando preventing you from declaiming a high traffic area... it's just not gonna happen, right? Is this how it is intended to work? I don't think there are very many spots in the world with not a soul running by for 6 hours. Maybe the arctic.

Two Issues: 1) Claiming Taking HOURS where I have to set aside 6 hours of my playing and enjoyment of the game to babysit a claim is pointless and would make a few people quit playing this early on in the game. 2) Every time ANY random person runs through the claim my entire progress is reset, they aren't even from the company I'm trying to claim from. Now I'm not opposed to the 6 hours, but making progress reset every time a random person runs through a claim is ridiculous, the company I'm trying to claim from haven't been online in more then a week. I suspect its school going kids, who have now gone back to school and will not be playing anytime soon. How to Fix this "tiny" issue: 1) Allow me to move away from the flag, and that timer needs to significantly reduce the longer someone is offline... a minimum of 1 Hour would be fine. 2) Just remove this, if a 3rd Party wants to join in on the claim war they should also need to place a flag to interrupt my claiming process, the only person(s) that should interrupt a claim is the company that I am claiming from, and even then it should never be an instant reset, it should tick down for them as it has to tick up for me. I think I've been fair in my comment here, any kind of response from the Developers would be much appreciated. //Llew
  8. Claim still quite an issue in the game. And not just because of numerous bug. And with newly put taxation system, you guys practically encourage everyone just to go out there an put "empty" claim everywhere they could. So they would get taxes, but also also preventing "safe" building for everyone else. First of all claiming obviously should be limited per person. Secondly - to make more customizable, so it would be simply one claim per person, make it as point buy: A single person (either if he/she made company or not) should have at most 10 meter radius of claim. That's more than enough to either put small shipyard and build small cottage right next to it, or split it to two claim for shipyard, and small cottage bit inland). That also insure that there would be plenty of land to claim for everyone, if solo claims will be small. In any case, there is really no point giving 50-meters radius claim to a single person (rest alone multiple of those). For company claims it should be simply accumulative radius from all company members. And likewise they are free to spend it how they want. 5-member company can go and try claim one huge 50-meters radius claim. Or they can go around and put numerous smaller claims. In both cases no new claim should be allowed, until one of the older claim would be removed, or one of older claim would be reduced. As of implementation. Would be bit tricky to put, but i think its possible. Give everyone like a week to actually go around and play with that system. And after one week, what they finally set - would be implemented. Practically removing all old claim flags, but at the same time enabling all new claim flags.
  9. Hello everyone! Since the fix for claimed territory is up, we are looking for a piece of land to settle down. We're around 10 german guys with no home yet, but we can call a galleon our own. So if someone got a claim and doesn't need it, we would be more than happy to take it. We maybe can give something in return, depends on what you need. Cheers!
  10. I was in a company of 150, and we could not stop the attack on our land. And here is how they did it. We controlled our full island and the opposing force controlled the one next to us. For over 24+ hours they had a group of 6 guys. 2 would build a raft and 4 would sail. They would ran around throwing flags till they got a location. Once they did they plopped down a stone structure. And every raft coming would have items like 2 ceilings and a couple walls after that point. They could get to our island in about 10 mins on the raft to stop the claim. They would run in and build on to their structure making it harder and harder to get inside. They were just building or replacing the parts were had just removed with cannons to make it impossible to get inside to kill the sleeping guy. We killed the vast majority of the raft runners, but if one wall goes up its about 20 more cannon shots atleast to get in. Needless to say our guys after 5000+ connon shots just gave up. The game was not even fun by this point. It was a stupid game mechanic that if the opposing force is willing to do can not be stopped. THE FIX: You can not build on contested land. If you control it or not you can not build. You can repair but not build. This will make attacks more fun in that you will see actual damage during the attacks and not instant wall replacements. And second, you must be on a contested spot for 5 mins to reset the time. Have one naked person just touch the edge of the spot and run off to reset is just not fun. It needs to be 5 plus mins. And last idea. If you have a spot being contested it needs to blink on the map. This is not apart of the above message but would be nice. Ally claims show up as blue on the map!   11. The new placed flags have very clear issue where upkeep count down simply infinite. It just keep counting down to negative vallue after it reaches zero, and still stating that territory can't be claimed due to recent upkeep. Old flag on the oter hand doesn't have any upkep at all. Even spending most of the time at your (old) claim, doesn't do anything with upkeep. I had issue living my claim just for 10 minutes, and someone was able to place claiming flag at our territory.
  12. BEFORE YOU READ! I misunderstood the mechanics. This topic can be closed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Atlas-Team, on a PVE server you are able to claim areas where players/owners wasn't for the last 3 days. When I try to claim such areas with out claim flag, the "Claim time Remaining" stays by 9:59. After over an hour the time is still at 9:59 and the area is still not claimed. This happens every time I try to claim an area that is possiable to claim. With this bug, our company isn't able to claim any area. Regards Sascha
  13. i built my ship in a cove with more than enough room to leave a sloop in the water but in after taking another ship 2hrs away i teleported back and it was sunk also there is not a single bit of land to claim so i cant spawn in at my house have to do it on a boat so many issues wish i could host my own server like ark.

  15. There are multiple questions from my company regarding this topic. What we know is that you should only be able to claim land if the owner is not online within 3 days. After that you claim it, 30 min. pass, then his claim disappears and 10 min. later it is your claim. What does "online" mean? if I login outside of my claims I´m online, are they still protected? I assume you have to be in your claims within the last 3 days, but is just walking through them enough to reset the 3d timer or do you have to do any actions like building something etc.? You sadly can´t check the timer yourself. So now, I had the following case. My neighbour was very annoying and stressful for all others on the island. We went there and checked his claim and while he was within his base (and his claim) we could set up a flag to contest it (no 3d rule seemed to apply here). The timer was not running as long as he was within his claim. He then proceeded to leave with his raft and the second he left his claim the 30 min. timer started and my flag declaimed his land. 40 min. later we owned everything. He then came back and set his flag and tried to claim everything back which worked as well. We lost our flag but as long as we stood in his claim it wouldn´t finish. The buildings were still ours and would decay in 1h 20 min. I don´t get it. Why did it instantly started after he left? and also why was he able to claim it back from us? When we run around and check for claims we often see -XXXX seconds until claim is available. all timer are different despite being from the same company. So how do the timer reset? Do I need to do something in the claim to "reset" it back to 3d? Any help is highly appreciated especially since most company members fear that we lose our land to some strangers just claiming it and thus all we worked for etc.
  16. We are on NA PVE and we can’t find land to claim at all. We are desperate for a small base to work out of. Especially since our ships keep getting sunk by the over spawned ghost ships. Having to start over in a Freeport is awful, and building anything on a lawless island is a crap shoot: it might last a day or an hour before something or someone destroys it, sometimes it just disappears. Please rework the claiming for pve! Everything I have read indicates that even if we had a home, all our hard work could be stolen in 30 minutes. That is NOT why most of us are on pve! If we wanted our stuff stolen we would be on pvp. It’s bad enough ppl can steal out of our fires, smithys, etc, and now they can ‘have it all’ with a flag and 30 minutes to kill? Please fix the claim spam and ability for someone to steal everything out from under you in a day. It’s not right!
  17. So basicly we currently having the problem that everyone seems to be able to steal our Land. They ripped down our Shipyard with our almost finished Galleon in it. Is there a way to protect your claims while beeing offline and how to protect it while beeing online? And does anyone know if i can contact the dev´s somehow? Would be cool if they would change Claim for PVE in a way that the Timer before u can steal territory increases with every built structure on it. That way u either need to spam structures to keep your territory or new players have a chance to claim unused territory but its way harder to claim territory with bases and shipyards on it.
  18. On the PVE realm there is a bug with claiming. When you are contesting a claim of some one that has been offline long enough, and someone comes in to contest it as well it increasing your current timer to claim. My company had finally found a spot, and we were 15 minutes away from claiming. Some one came in and continually try to contest and stop contesting. It took the timer from 15 minutes right back up to an hour and 30. This is a great way to grief players on PVE.
  19. Hey, I noticed most islands are claimed at this point. I have one in mind but it is heavily claimed by a few people I was just wondering how to I steal peoples claims. I tried traid shoving a flag next to theirs. however i nothing seems to happen the flag does not place even though the outline looks as though I can place it.
  20. Greetings! I got a couple of suggestions when it comes to claiming land. Currently it takes 1 hour and 40 minutes to claim already claimed land, that is WAY too long, so here is my suggestion : When you placed no buildings in your claimed land it should take 20 minutes (including your flag claim time) The more buildings you placed the longer it should take to claim the land. I would say +1 minutes each placed structure.
