When you replace Floors of other materials with Stone Floors, the placed stone floor always has the basic rectangle model, no matter what model the replaced floor had. The floors closest to ground usually extend down and have ornaments on them, but if you replaced another material with stone, the resulting block does not have ornaments and sometimes appears hanging in the air on some sides. That is not important for its functionality, but it means those who want to build something pretty have it harder and have to spend more resources on demolishing/replacing floors again, which hurts a lot with recent price increase. That is how you end up with only rectangular buildings everyhere.

Good morning, The recent patch is well disliked throughout the community because of the increased materials required to assemble stone structures, as well as the buffs to stone foundations. Currently the majority of players utilize stone buildings for housing etc. Materials required to assemble stone buildings now cost metal, and organic paste which in itself is not entirely common, and is crafted from two other materials. This all without a boost to stone building properties. Essentially it is nor more economical to spam Wood structures for the recent buffs and expense than it is to build stone structures at no buff with added expense. Essentially we are buying building and name brand prices for value brand quality. It's a sour deal at best. I'd like to suggest that tiers are incorporated rather as well as the requirements are rolled back, boosts to wood structures are fine as smaller groups might be using them as well as their prevalence on PvE realms. I'll list some ideas, and what they could possibly do. Tier 1 - Thatch Tier 2 - Wood Tier 3 - Stone (Revert changes) Tier 4 - Insulated Stone (By all means require Organic paste, provides Heat/Cold protection) Tier 5 - Reinforced Stone (By all means require Metal, provides extra durability) Tier 6 - Metal (Stronger than Reinforced Stone) Tier 7 - Insulated Metal (Heat/Cold Protection, as strong as regular Metal structures) Tier 8 - Reinforced Metal (Stronger than Metal) These options would make more sense overall, as well as potentially add more ingredients to the game rather than re-purpose stone. Lastly more depth would be added to the game which is desperately needed. I ask that these building block changes are reversed, I don't believe this is uproar generated by sudden change that will go away in a hot-minute. This is uproar that will stay, and in my opinion could quite adversely effect the game in a negative light.

Just wanted to share a document that I created to help people with calculating total costs for building ships. All cells are locked except the "Count to Build" column which will update the totals on the right with the total costs for what it will take to build the ship using the indicated parts. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nmCBYY6d_3amQRXquoyRsyilHAYgbhEMThGy4xDE5Z4/edit?usp=sharing

Pillars should have no effect on resources. You go through the time and effort of carefully building a modest network of catwalks and ziplines, only to have a pillar 50 metres away from the nodes ruin the respawn. Am I seriously meant to ignore the building system and break two picks climbing the sheer cliff each time I need metal? And then death march the metal back with my pathetic weight cap.

I have discovered a pass-through cave like habitat on an island. I can build at the mouth of the entrances but I cannot build inside nor can I put walls up. I have added the allow cave building command set as true as in similar to ark but still not allowing it. Am I missing another command structure or could this just still be buggy at the moment.

The Issue: I’ve built us a modest series of catwalks and ziplines to facilitate metal mining from a nearby mtn. top. I have only used pillars doing this and nothing is supported by either a floor or a fence support. The pillar nearest to the metal nodes is roughly 20-30 metres away. None of the nodes have respawned since construction was completed. The Solution: Greatly reduce or remove the impact that pillars have on node spawns. This would give builders a low-impact option to build with, in order to access hard-to-reach areas without ruining resource spawns. Thanks for your time.

Building a lot, I would like to see some minor additions which would allow for a lot of new options Pillars: * Please allow them to snap to corners (I know there's a glitch to do this, but it is cumbersome) * Small / Medium / Large variations which vary in thickness, they seem very thin currently. * Half height would be nice to match wall tiles * Diagonal Pillars (maybe as model for the roof?), center snaps or on the corners Walls: * It would be awesome if we could snap Railings to half stairs aswell * Double Doors pretty please? Ceilings: * Can we have the roof shingle tiles as flat ceilings Flags / Banners: * Just port the over the canvas flags from Ark * Add some hanging banners to the mix aswell

Die S+ Plus Mod für ARK ist eine der beliebtesten Mods, nicht ohne Grund. Bitte nehmt euch die S+ Mod zum Beispiel und lasst uns Bauteile in andere Strukturen wie z.B. Steine, Tore usw. platzieren. Ständig bekommt man die Meldung **** is obstructed. Dadurch kann man viele Lücken in der Base oder auch auf dem Schiff einfach nicht schließen. Das ist nervig und frustrierend und auch einfach unnötig. Im Anhang ein paar Beispiele... *google translate* The S + Plus Mod for ARK is one of the most popular mods. Please take the S + Mod for example and let us place components in other structures such as stones, gates, etc. Constantly you get the message **** is obstructed. Having to option to create a market stall / trade stall to place for others to purchase resources / goods for a price. Example: Skill Tradewinds : Contruction Tree 8 Points Description: Enables the construction and management of a Trade Stall and & Trade Box, additionally enabling the player to sell items through the stall. Trade Stall (Wood Structure) A trade stall would need to be place in conjunction with a trade box, the stall would allow you to list items in the trade box for a cost in a desired currency, whether its gold or resources. Other players would press E to interact and would show the stall inventory and the costs would be listed like the crafting requirements tooltip. Trade Box (Wood Structure) A trade box would work similarly to a Ship Resources Box, allowing resources to stack to 500,000 and allow the resources to be pulled from the trade stall. Skill Tycoon: Contruction Tree (Requires Tradewinds, Esotary of Building) 8 Points Description: Gives access to further market structures. Enables Trade Market Enables Metal Trade Vault Trade Market (Stone Structure) Similar to a trade stall, though more elaborate design and stronger structure. Trade Vault (Metal Structure) Similar to a trade box, though more elaborate design and stronger structure. This i feel would promote more trade in the regions and potentially more pvp. Problem: Enemy Shipyards (only small tested so far) block building on top of existing foundations. Reproduce: 1. Player 1: Build foundation near water. 2. Player 2 (enemy to player 1): build small shipyard close to player 1's enemy foundation. 3. Player 1 can no longer place anything on said foundation or snap anything to it. Building for player 1 is blocked by Player 2's enemy shipyard. should be: shipyards no build zones should not overlap enemy no build zones or take priority over foundations. I recommend significantly reducing shipyard no build zone as well. Info: this was tested on official NA PVE server, region E5, NE corner of stingray island.

Could you guys please enable the same clipping that Ark uses? Currently I can’t even fill in our fence supports because it says “obstructed” when trying to place the wall piece. Thanks

First off, great job stabilizing the servers; Game looks beautiful and is running well, so thanks. I'm enjoying the game, but there is a glaring problem, extremely few sources of fresh water. I know we can dig for waterspouts to top off, but it is tedious and never lasts long. In addition, we can't use water spouts to irrigate crops (or fill waterskins?) making creating a home impossible if you don't snatch up a freshwater source, which by now there probably aren't many free ones thanks to mega companies. Rain collecting could be an answer if it ever rained. I've played for 29 hours now (granted a significant portion was battling the rough start of the game) and I've seen it rain once. I imagine the goal was to get people to focus on island hopping, and making water a valued resource fought over in PvP, but as it stands on a PvE server, the fresh water situation makes the grandiose map irrelevant since most of the islands are unlivable, shrinking viable play space to a fraction of what it looks like. I really like the game, and building my first ship with a friend was an amazing feeling, but now that we've gotten over that first hurdle, we're basically hitting a wall. I know the devs are up to their eyeballs in salt water (heh) from trying to get the servers working and assisting players with struggles (good job stepping up after the initial fiasco), but when you get around to making in-game changes, I'd really like to see this on the list, at least for PvE servers. I don't like pointing out problems without proposed solutions, so if any devs are reading this, I came up with a few vague ideas below. Water purification system (must be in sunlight | byproduct is salt | must be emptied regularly) 'paint' additional water sources on islands, particularly large ones that lack fresh water entirely Craftable wells (game implies a water table with the waterspouts as is, so why not tap into it with a well) that provide large amounts of water that drain/replenish over time Some kind of animal/plant that produces/purifies water (there are already dragons in the game so why not something mystical like that) 'Bear Grylls it' by purifying pirate 'liquid waste' If there actually is fresh water on most islands and folks are as blind as bats, craftable water diviners to help us find it Increase the frequency of rain NPC ports that sell barrels of fresh water for some kind of vaguely rare resource (fish meat *lol* | snake scales cause they can be dangerous) Cut into some of the massive mountains and make caves with underground lakes If other players are experiencing something similar please leave a comment to let the devs know its not an isolated thought. If I'm totally off-base and missing something, please let me know! And to any devs actually reading this post, keep calm and sail on, you're doing good and thanks for your hard work. I'm intrigued to see the new metas layed out by the general public there are 100's of design ideas specific items such as weight sails determine the ability of the ship in both a pve and pvp fashion. Increased weight and you lose speed, faster ship less weight carry and so on and so forth. What are some ideal ships you guys have come up with????

You cannot place any foundations through previous tier foundations, However i was able to do this with the ceilings no problem. The Stone staircase does not line up to the stone doorways neither, Their offset to the right slightly / not quite wide enough. I Will edit this if i find any further problems with building structures, If anybody has found problems with the building mechanic feel free to leave extra comments below to help us fix what can be better!
