  1. Just thought I'd mention to any of the community interested in Breeding that ARK Smart Breeding has been adapted for use in ATLAS allowing you to store a library of your tames as well as work out the stats and reverse calculate any tames including the imprint. ASB Download ATLAS Guide
  2. I’ve been doing research for information on human breeding and there doesn’t seem to be a very clear answer on whether or not it will be added. I’m assuming it’s not going be, it was last mentioned in 2018 in forums and no one returned to it. I want to state how interesting it would be to not only have the option to simply visit the “Fountain of Youth” to revert from 100 years old to 20 again, but to also have the choice as a player M/F character to have a child with an NPC or other player so that I may continue my legacy. I could imagine that if it were two players having children then it would come out as two kids, 1 for each player, and if it’s with an NPC then it’ll just be 1 child. Also be able to make the human NPCs have offspring in general would add so many more different RP aspects to the game. (that’s just my opinion, what do you all think?)
  3. Hello everyone. I need to pick someone's brain about how insulation works. I noticed while hatching eggs even though the shown temperature doesn't change, the temperature around the egg does when using grills/ice boxes. That being said, has anyone come up with a way to find out how insulation converts to temperature to get a more accurate number than what is shown? It's not a major deal, but it would be a really nice quality of life touch if I could manage breeding with more precision. Any and all info is welcome.
  4. Hello! I have already submitted a bug forum about this issue but here’s the story. Its a pretty straight forward story, we hatched 4 razor teeth and began crashing hard core non stop and continue to do so. We haven't had a single issue with our island until now. 2 of us are on the Xbox series X and one is on a Xbox one x. is anyone else experiencing this issue? It could be related to the recent patch and Xbox mess up. Maybe it’s just remains of the previous issues they fixed, I’m not sure. But it was perfectly timed with the hatching of those eggs.

I am creating this topic for developers about the taming and breeding system of animals, I feel that this part of the game is being left out and is one of the factors that makes me want to play Atlas, so as a first suggestion I think the time of the ballerina should increase from 1:30 to at least 2 minutes, the hitbox of the trapped animals should also be adjusted, because the elephants and giraffes end up hitting even when we are behind them, since the breeding system the time for gestation is very far, and may take up to 4 hours, I think this time could be reduced to 1 hour only and the time to procreate again should be reduced to 24 hours, there are other suggestions that I also find relevant to mention, for example, the composer, for me it doesn't make much sense make fertilizer in your own inventory, if there was a compost it would be possible to create fertilizers inside it with feces and straw. Another relevant point is the lack of at least one marine animal and a flying bird to be tamed, it would also be interesting to add fish traps. Something that also bothers a lot is the issue of animal transport, there is a mod that allows the transport of animals through a mystical bottle, asism as in Ark where we use cryopods, there should be some way we can transport large animals in a more organized way, but still influencing the ship's crew and weight. That's it, I hope that everything is taken into account and something is at least relevant, because for me these changes would be necessary.
  6. Ahoy everyone! First off, sorry for the huge font size! I wrote the post in my phone notes to make sure I covered everything and can’t work out how to change it after it was copied and pasted here! So (if you can’t tell) I’m new to the forums, normally I just hide and travel through them and watch with popcorn whenever something big goes off. But with everything that’s happened recently I’ve made an account specifically to create this post addressed to the new community team and pass along a series of questions from our alliance that were all playing The Gorgon’s Gaze. Before the questions though, I’d just like to say welcome to the community to the three new developers who we’ve met so far. I hope you can keep the dream alive while also paying close attention to what your fans are saying, unlike a lot of developers for games which looked promising to begin with but ultimately failed because of breakdowns with fans. Without one you can’t have the other and all that... Also, I have to say that I currently personally class Atlas as my all time favourite game. And as I’m physically disabled, I’ve played a lot of games, but none that have hooked me as much as Atlas has. I become physically absorbed into the game when playing, and I just hope that my PVE based love for it now doesn’t turn to hate as I want absolutely nothing to do with PVP. If I did I’d play other games. I know PVE will still exist before people start blowing off, but let’s just say a lot of us don’t see the need for change when nothing (game mode related at least) seemed broken or in need of change. A lot of us feel we’ve lost everything for no good reason and are eager to see what the cost has bought us. Please note that the following are questions from 12 individuals, and not just all from me. The questions themselves reflect what’s most important about playing the game to each person, and how they’re answered may be the difference between people playing from July or not bothering anymore, something which I’m sure goes far wider than our alliance group. The questions aren’t listed in any kind of order of importance as they are all equally as important as far as we’re concerned. Q1. With the closure of The Gorgon’s Gaze, what is the long term plan on the roadmap for all the PVE players who have now lost their main server? Will there be a brand new server established with the newly released world map active for us to return to or are we all now expected to merge onto one server after July? Q2. As is the case with the majority of people on The Gorgon’s Gaze, we have spent literally months worth of playing time establishing ourselves as a stable company of 10 people, and played as part an alliance. We had several levels from the discoveries, a fleet of 5 schooners (2 of which were mythic), a brig and a mythic galleon. Not to mention the builds and tames (some of which being from Golden Age) spread across 6 grids and countless full days collecting gold to sustain our 58 point island. Will any of this progress be taken into account if we decide to still play? Perhaps at the very least, anyone who had already spent the time helping you develop your game to lose everything literally overnight could have some kind of unique skin on their account to show their continued commitment after losing all progress should they chose to start over? Q3. With the map adjustment, will you still be able to sail over the edges of the world and end up on the other side? Also, while other types of grid have been mentioned on the latest announcement, there is no info yet on where the Freeports will be. Will they still be included or will there be new ways now to recruit crews, buy skins and of course tame cats? Q4. Pathfinders have lost everything. What kind of new content can be expected? Or will we just have the same features with an adjusted map? Even SOME insight to new stations etc might be enough to swing people back to playing from July. For example, a way of taking the salt out of sea water such as a boiling station? Which could require alloy and gems and be far down on the skill tree to make it hard to get? Mechanical Filtering existed in the era the game is set in after all. Q5. Are we going to see any changes to the skill trees in general such as the amount of points it takes to buy skills? Will there be as many quest skills now or have some been lost to a smaller map or bunched together like on Blackwood? Q6. The main difference in base building between PVP players vs PVE is that PVE players build for keeps. We want our structures to be noticed and appreciated and remain as a form of overall progress. Will this be the final wipe? Or should we all just wait until the game is released to start playing again? Q7. Will there be any changes to taming, breeding and pathfinder levelling stats? Will discoveries now count for more points or will the max level be reduced to take into account what definitely appears to be a far smaller map than we had before? Q8. I’m concerned about how farming will now work with the fact that equatorial now only takes up a tiny part of the map (and oddly is not centralised). Are we now going to have to fight for an inch of land in the best planting terrain? Or will farming be easier to do in the other biomes? Also, will there be any new crops? Ark had vegetables AND berries for example but to be honest I really just want to grow my own mint and limes! Q9. Will pathfinders playing on ALL consoles now be able to see custom flags, canvasses and sails? Or will this still be restricted to 1X and PC players who are fortunate enough to be able to afford the higher end tech? Also, will we be able to put images taken on the pathfinder compass camera accessed by holding Y onto canvass now? Q10. Will there be a fix for the big bug where if you own an island and have the settings on COMPANY ONLY, other people can still do what they like and build anyway? We had all 6 of our owned island discoveries constantly blocked by other people setting up travel agencies there, despite us constantly breaking beds and foundations when we noticed they were there from the log. In other words, we were being stopped from building on our own island without any way to correct it as the admin IGNORED all 3 of our tickets on the subject, presumably with the knowledge of the upcoming wipe. Eventually we had to check every day, it would be nice to not have this hassle. Q11. Can we have a dedicated memorial gallery to post our Gorgon’s Gaze images to? That way at least our work has not been completely for nothing and our builds live on. I had a crew member who I temporarily forgot to feed once when I was new to the game and was bugged to be constantly retching. It would be nice if Lady Chuckup could live on as well in some way from our captures of her as she is definitely less replaceable and was our company mascot. Q.12 Possibly the most important question on a lot of people’s minds from both PVE AND PVP...will this be the Legacy update which sees our pathfinders be able to have children? And can we PLEASE have our flying ships now? I know a lot of these questions have likely already been asked, and some may have been answered. If anyone has anything they can answer, please do so. Just please keep your comments CLEAN and more importantly CALM. The Dev’s know we’re mad, but we won’t get anywhere now by freeplaying our war drums. ALSO...I HAVE ADDED THIS SECTION IN TO CLARIFY THAT THIS POST IS NOT INTENDED AS A PLACE TO VENT YOUR RAGE. Feel free to comment, but PLEASE ADD AT LEAST ONE QUESTION OF YOUR OWN OR SOME KIND OF CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK INTO WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IMPROVED. Please chose to be civil with your comments though, as we have in our main post. And remember...THIS POST IS ADDRESSED TO THE NEW DEVS AND NOT THE OLD ONES WHO YOU MIGHT FEEL HAVE LET YOU DOWN. I’m not expecting a direct message response but hopefully at the VERY LEAST, the developers who introduced themselves to us recently will read this (in full preferably) and provide some of the answers with their next major announcement. It may be enough to prevent a full blown mutiny and bring some back to the fold. I tried to include some of the captures we do have from The Gorgon’s Gaze in this post but wasn’t able to add them in for some reason so I’ve put them on my profile instead if anyone wishes to see them. I sincerely hope to see you all on the seas (and land, as that definitely matters too) again from July, pending new info.   8. have these been changed or removed? i bred a baby bear last night, in a temperate climate, and the temp ranged from about 2 to 29C (not including the heatwave or cold front that hit) and the baby never once got hot or cold! i'm not complaining its a great thing, but i'm just wondering did i get lucky somehow? i also noticed that ice boxes don't seem to generate temperature change, or at least not noticeable via the temperature display in the character screen or when holding H, is this broken? or removed due to some change? just trying to get a handle on this stuff, thanks for any info you guys can provide.
  9. Hi there, we have a unoffical server and try breeding 2 ostrich. The only thing that happen is that both get hearts and on the female animal stands: Currently breeding with ... and after that nothing happend. Any idear?
  10. Heyas! Probably something what got ask already, but didn't find anything about it with the search function. The Idea/Suggestion I was just about kill (Butcher) one of my bulls i've breed before, cause in 1st case i didn't need it anymore and 2nd case i could use the Meat and Ressources. But with Crossbow, Axe, Pickaxe it's pain in the Arrrrr to get it killed + it feels wrong hitting the Animal like a Drumset. So what i think is, there should be kinda "butcher knife" or "bolt pistol" what can kill the own tame with one hit. It feels less cruel + i guess it's way more immersive butchering an animal fast this way, without hitting the animal till your stammina ran out for the 4th time. So yeah a butcher system would be something what really could be cool and usefull so you can breed animals for meat and other ressources.   11. The 'imprint needed (blue pacifier)' icon still shows after that tame has full imprint at 100%. It makes it difficult to tell without going into inventories or getting close enough to read the text, which tames have 100% imprint, and which still require it. This is particularly confusing/time consuming when you have bred quite a few tames at once and need to sort through them to see which ones actually need imprint. It also often results in LOTS of DMs from company members telling you the tames need imprint. Can the imprint needed icon please change colour if the tame is at 100% imprint, or disappear altogether?
  12. currently most imprinting windows are every 8 hours alot of pople work so they always miss at least 1 of their imprints, what i suggest is increase the total time for breeding and increase the windows to 12 hours between each imprint, so for bears instead of being once every 8 hours for 40 hours do it once every 12 hours over a 48 hour time, for teir 3's its even worse as its once every 8 hours for 70 hours so do it once every 12 hours for 72 hours, this will make it easier for people to get 100 % imprints, also 6 hours for the actualy birth is pretty bad either reduce it to 1 hour like bears or increase it to 12 hours making life so much easier to time things, people do have lives outside of games and with the current timings for breeding people are having to work their lives around the game
  13. Breeding as of now is too time consuming. The most tedious part is of course having the baby be raised to juvenile so it can feed from the trough. I honestly do not mind the long time it takes for a baby to be raised to adult, but there must be a way so you don't have to stay on the baby's side for 3 hours.

What are some of the max stats at 100% maturation? Health - Stamina - Melee Damage etc. How are mutations affecting breeding?

  17. HI, just a quick suggestion among many about breeding, it's pretty simple. Baiscally, the player will breed the animals, the animal will start the breeding process as it does now. Once the calf is born, the female animal must stay within a 5ft distance of the calf, the mother will feed the calf and prevent it from dying and prevent it from dying due to temperature, if the mother dies, the calf will need to be fed manually and taking care of as we do now. Basically the mother takes care of the baby, we still should be able to do the imprint things to get the buffs and such, but the animals will not die that easily.

My Suggestions - Penguin Insulation buff - Improve the penguins to give more hypothermia and hyperthermia insulation to babies - Tribe Imprinting - Breeding Token or Breeding Skills Breeding Token = "Valentines Chocolate Candy" - Maturation bonus Breeding Skill Feat - Mother's Touch Feat - Mother's Warmth - Maturation bonus for imprinting the animals without the help of your tribe - gives you a short term imprint bonus - insulation buff to nearby babies - reduced gestation cool-down - Cow's Milk gives babies a insulation buff These suggestions are just a starting point. If you have more suggestions or better ideas to improve breeding please post it below and hopefully the developers will read this and make breeding not as demanding.

Hello everyone, i was making some reasearch and was looking what could be the possible highest roles for weight, stamina, health and damage in a wild lvl 30 tamed bear. i got no real answer, is there anyone that nows the values? i will start my breeeding process today an i have several good bears to start and wanted to compare there values to the highest possible roll in order too get the best outcome bevore i start with the second phase and get the mutation breeding process started. best regards Efariam
  20. Hello everybody! One of most exiting things for me in atlas is breeding animals to make really OP monsters. But today I lost 3 babybears..... again.... They were 14-15% of mature (should be able to eat from feeding trough) and with full inventory of grown vegetables. Then I filled multiple feeding trough with berries and after that i went to sleep for at least 3 hours. When I woke up feeding trough were almost (but not completely) emty. Thats strange coz 10 bears cant eat 6 feeding trough full of berries in 3 hrs. I left babybears just next to feeding trough that found half-filled in the morning..... so I lost like 8-10 hours of realtime..... again..... Looks like Patch v18.9 was cancelled.... Fixed an issue with babies not eating from inventory/troughs when in stasis. Strange that I cant find message about babybear death in company log..... they disappeared? Devs. Please. Fix. This.   21. when server resets or crashes, torches show on, but dont provide any heat until they are turned off and on.. thus making breeding babies that were relying on them die from cold if noone is around to fix immediately
  22. So after reading the patch notes for 18.87, specifically: I thought I would give breeding another attempt. After discovering that the patch did not take this into account, yes the baby is still affected by heatwave and coldfront, I also discovered that the timers for the various stages were ridiculous. 1. Maturation - 4 hours 2. Juvenile to imprint - 8 hours 3. Juvenile to second imprint - 8 hours Didn't get past the second imprint so no idea if there was another after this. The times for these various stages are too long. Devs please reconsider these times, at the minimum they should be half of what they currently are.
  23. @Jatheish (At first: sorry for my bad english, i am just a woman from germany, trying my best to write down my opinions in english) I see what the online player count is dropping down. I talked with a lot of people in different ark/atlas communitys about - why they dont log in. And i tryed to find some solutions for bigger problems. So just some brainstorming ideas. Let the players create a usefull city, a trading routes, habours and so on Bank System: Let the people up- and download gold to the own account, let them use every tribe-bank or ally bank for this. Taverne Food selling. Lets craft every tribe NPCs whos is only able to sell food, so a tavern makes sence. And buff the cooked food to something its worth shipping resources from around the world... and don´t down them to a 5-stack. Habour and growing citys Everyone can build a nice habour but for what? Look who is the bigges tribe or wich tribe hast the most landclaims in a sector. So THIS tribe, is able to place NPC Vendors or Auction buildings. If a tribe is able to create a player-friendly habour ... it will start to become a big trading habour /center. If there is enaugh space to land /anchor with ur ships, if u finde a lot of trade stuff and maby u will finde some land to rent from the tribes, for a small outpost, storage... something great can grow. Crafting a nice habour and make ships anchor. Give us a component for a quay wall, where ships can anchor. It is a pain in the ass to build a harbor and at the end the ships can not anchor. Dont let us waste tonns of struktures in the deep water to get the ships anchored. Landclaims (Idea is just for PVE. i dont know enaugh about PVP Server to make a suggestion there) U need a better system. Its not ok to run all the time to save ur claim (PvE) but also just loging in all 3 Weeks to make ur land save, its also not ok for the rest. So make some stats to check, how aktiv a tribe is/was last 24 hours / last week. Check up how many ingame hours a tribe has last 24 hours, last week. Check how many ships moving hours they have, how many ships released, how many tames got used and so on. Dont tell us exaktly wich faktors are how importent, so people dont find to much easy ways to use the mechanic in a wrong way. If u know how aktiv a tribe is and how many players are aktiv in real.... use that informations to manage how many flags they need = can hold easy and drop down the save-time for the flags. Use something like online hours or tribe aktivity points. Maby a tribe can have 1 Tribe Flag wich is save for 2 Weeks. Then set up more flags (save time 7 days) per 8 hours playtime/aktivity ... no mather 4 persons play 2 hours a day or one play 8 hours a day. If the tribe has 48 hours playtime / day - they have 6 more flags with 7 days savetimer. If they drop down the playtime to 24 hours / day ... drop down the savetime of each flag (not the one main tribe flag) to 3,5 days savetime... so they need to be more aktive or remove some flags to have more savetime. Land for rent Lets talk about why rent land/space to other players. If an enemy try to claim ur land. The tenant get an information also. The tenant has a kind of right to claim the land as first. He can take over the land before the enemy gets it. Maby let it cost an amount of 1000 Gold. (First renter on the flag, has the first right) Give this renter a chance to say "save the claim for the owner" - so flag stay save, without beeing claimed and for no money. Old ships standig around for weeks , blocking ur habour. If a Ships isnt moved for 3 days - let player klick on it to say "remove ur shit". The owner tribe get an information in a new log (tribe log is to full to find this info) , or mark it in an other color on the map). The owner tribe has 3 more days now, to just move it 1 meter (or just anchor it again) to show... its not and un-loved ghost ship, its in use. If they pass the 3 day timer... lets decay it between 1-3 more days, depents on how big the ship is. Let the people removed compleatly. If a player dont logged in for 4 Weeks. Remove them from the server. Compleatly... also from tribes and so on - clear that shit. Look into their stuf, so the tribe dont have bad penalitys cause of that. Ships - personal owner. Give the option "personal owner" to ships. Let the Ship Creater choose, its an tribe ship or an personal owner ship. And as an personal owner, u can unclain a ship, so everyone else can claim it and can choose claim as personal owner or as tribe. So we can build and SELL ships! TRADE SYSTEM! We realy need something like a trade window for an save share. Without taxes, or something like an auktions house. Just to say "take this and give me that", without the need to drop stuff on the ground. If i wanna sell a ship: I need something like a ownership notice, put it into a trade window and if the buyer put the right amount into the window, everyone can klick "ok", so we have a save deal. Same like resources. Use a selling box, put in the stuff u wanna sell and close it (say ready) ... buyer put his payment into the other side of the box and say ready, and if both klick a last "ok", the deal is done. Breeding 48 hours is a way to much. Temperatur... its to heavy to manage the breed, the babys dying to fast cause of the normal changes of the temperatur and u cant do anything against the warm/hot. Having 20 pinguins and 30 fires and looking into it for 15 - 48 hours - that cant be the right way. Sorry, but our tribe needs to work in real live. We can do it as a tribe, of cause - but if everyone needs to sleep or work... there is nobody who can manage it ... so we need some people without a work to be able to breed? In Ark i loved to be a breeder, but in atlas, its not possible if u have a real life. Ship Autopilot. I can put an npc on a ship weel and use the auto pilot. But why the hell it stop working, so far i leave the ship - so its useless? Of cause i know, it will just drive forward... yes i know, it will drive into an isle , will do nothing agains ghost ships (ok, i can set the npc on auto fire with cannons!) and will be a blind pilot. But if there is an autopilot - lt me use that! I wanna set it on drive strait forward and i can jump onto the bed on board if i think the npc need help. (i can see my ship on the map). If i loose the ship... its happed... let it be MY risc. There are a lot more ideas, but i am not sure if any one importend will read and think about it - and i dont wanna waste my time
