  1. The problem with both wolf and other predator spawns is that there are no competitive herbivores on some islands, leading to death balls of the predators roaming around. In all honesty, if Elephants don't spawn on the island, neither should wolves/lions/tigers. Our company controls a number of islands, and one is particularly bad. It has lion and wolf spawns, but the herbivore spawns are limited to horses and pigs. The wolves eat all the pigs/horses and end up roving around in groups of like 5-10. Farming on that island almost always entails clearing the spawns with a tiger before bringing out the ele/bear. On the island with elephants, the tigers and wolves actually end up dying fairly regularly and those roving death hordes are fairly rare. Actually finding any tiger or wolf on the island is fairly rare, though the corpses are incredibly common.
  2. Have a bull, getting only 1/3 of what i get with a primitive iron pickaxe. It can gather berries better... pig can gather berries well. Bear is top for fiber thatch sugar berries ( all what u can get from hand harvestable plants ) . Can also do easy treasure hunts up to 500 gold with one high lvl bear leveled on weight... Rhino well.. no weight reduce and annoying to tame where they always get killed by new spawning shit tons of vultures. High lvl wolf ... good health and dmg, but stamina is way to low. lion is like a wolf, but less health, more stamina. Should be stronger... but good enough for treasure hunting. I killed alpha chicken turrle rabbit sheep and ape with my bear. A pig killed the bear and he had still half health, used healing and more dmg spell. Dont wanna meat an alpha lion snake or wolf with a mount....
  3. 1. SoDs camping borders, will that change like when they got a restriction to not get near the shores? 2. Number of SoDs, most of the time when traveling atleast 2/3 of ways that can go is walled off by SoDs, that's definitely not a problem in pvp propably since everyone is there putting cannons on literaly everything so SoDs get culled but ppl both in PvP an PvE that have a sloop or just a bigger ship designed for trading/transporting still are forced to be armed on everything, otherwise they have to go arround for half hour to 1 hour just to circle arround them. What would like to see is hem being actualy rare, not everywhere... or atleast much more rare, but stronger, keep the low lvls nearly like now but the lvl scaling put higher so maybe they gonna be much less common but they will put up a fight, right now ppl fear nothing other than red SoDs if they go intentionaly into a fight, they are just either an annoyance or a grinding material. 3. Animals overpsawn, both passive and agressive. Obviously ppl don't complain about passives bcs... well, they don't break their fun, but the amount of animals everywhere could be reduced by like 75%. Not all islands have this problem, was to islands that have 1 predaotr every 3-5 minutes but also was to other islands (an also living on one like those) that get spammed 3 wolves each minute and it just get infuirating, don't even care there is like 20 horses roaming just arround our house if don't even need them to eat, just from 1/4 of wolves that killing have enough meat to satisfy self, already got like 20k hide and constantly getting more (seen a tiny shore island filled with like 30+ horses + 2 alpha horses). https://imgur.com/a/q1CcRsM (some proof, died like 100 meters away from house to alpha wolf and a pack, took 11 minutes of frustration and corpse running, the screenshot shows the pack that moved now to the neightbour an grew in since by 2x, fun right, there's even many more that did not make it in the spyglass view on left and right, atleast anothe 10+ to those on the screenshot) 4. Alphas are not fun if we have no counterplay to them, ther eis no counterplay against an alpha lion, wolf or tiger, they are faster than player and unless we are on a horse, very close to water or behind a stone wall, we stand no chance to survive that encounter and they are allowed to spawn anywhere, not just on like, power stone islands or something. Even slow ones like snakes etc are a pain bcs maybe they are slowr, but they are forced to be dealt with otherwise we can't gather that tree or something, game threw an alpha at us?, well, time to go abandon anything we did and get smacking for 10-20 minutes, unless we use fire arrows obviously..., but that's just an enforced skill right now, fire arrow this, that, everything. 5. Animals agro on buildings, they consider a building like some prey, if is closer than a player, they will bite it no matter if will stick 20 arrows in their butt, even stone walls which they can't damage are molested to no end. Already lost a tiny shipyard bcs 2 alphas and a pack of wolves literaly prefered to eat wood insteed of chasing their target that was few meters away on the shore sticking arrows and bullets in them. 6. Animals spawn inside buildings... please make buildings have an aura like when restricting resources respawn, everyday having to kill 2-3 animals inside own house. 7. Guns suck, literaly never using them unless need to place some long range precise headshot... or simply kill a vulture, bcs they are good only for sniping birds bellow 20 lvl, nothing else. 8. Server performance is again getting worse, since 2 days, experiencing rubberbaning, stutter and timeouts, perhaps battle eye have something to do with it? 9. Yet again about performance but this time... ping, on own grid having no problems, just 5-20 players at once, but was to lands that have 60-100, and gods, the rubberbanding there is so insane that it takes 1-2 seconds for an acton to happen, lion once tried to attack us... 4 jumps, no damage nor grab, wolf teleported across half screen to us after agroing, army of the damned boss coudln't hit us unless we kept standing in one place for like 1 minute, came to that place to do a fine map..., 1 soldier somewhere, who knows where glitched which makes us no longer want to do anything outside of polar/tundra, bcs that 250 ping is not just unfun, it actualy breaks the game. 10. Will traps be added into the game, like spikes or deadfall traps etc? 11. Remove aging?, we don't want to look ugly nor lose character and land/buildings/gear nor get included into some artificial brothel or something (even if that would be just an option on a wheel and we get kid or something, meh) 12. Psst..., read our sea platform suggestion, bet with some adjustments it could be a fun experience for some ppl to live on those, especialy the new players. (this is so not a stream worthy question lol, but if will read that suggestion then maybe will take it as a proper question for the game) Actualy found that suggestion, hope is not too of a shameless plug, just if would like to check it out Jat, the platform part is in the middle of it after 2 text walls which are about ship parts, third is about sea platform, could give some extra space for building for newcomers. Btw, hope can deduce what asking for in every of those points even if they are not formed as questions most of the time.
  4. Btw, is that possible to make a stable or something above ground like on those platforms or by making supports and placing a room 1-2 lvls above ground? or will those animals just glitch thro the ground an die from fall dmg/wolves? Just was thinking about having a crow and a horse/wolf but those things keep spawning inside our house almost every day and that's just a matter of time when another wolf happen to greet us in a door way (sleeping on a ship since the day that died froma wolf inside our smithy).
  5. Myth's Folly Part2: The Folly of Myth's Folly Arrr...Myth's Folly. She was a fine one. Our maiden voyage with her was a blast. She was fast...very fast. But also a bit of a big bottomed girl that wasn't as nimble in the turns as the Silver Mermaid. With my matey captaining the wheel, and me in the lookout mast on the sails, we deftly dodged the SOD patrolling the areas from region to region. Our destination was the tundra regions just below the polar zones. We had been in the tundra once before in the Silver Mermaid. We were underwhelmingly equipped for our first voyage into the tundra. Sailing there during the early days was easy because the Ship of the Damned had not appeared yet. There was plenty of room available, but no fiber. We had issues with vitamin D deficiency. Fishing requires sap, which is oddly missing from the tundra regions. While I spearfished in the temperate zones, the water was too deathly cold in the tundra for spearfishing. We needed bait for fish, but no bait was available. Thus, we repeatedly died from exposure to the weather, vitamin D deficiency, and unrelenting wolves. We had to abandon it, but we vowed to return. Myth's Folly made stops in several island chains while we acquired saps and fibers. Our plan was to go into the tundra, and become Nordic privateers. We would bring the saps and fibers, and make regular missions to reprovision when necessary. Perhaps we would bring these resources to the region and trade with other residents. Part of our provisioning before leaving the tropical island was crafting fur armor so we could survive the cold, cold travel. What a plan! We congratulated ourselves on our foolproof planning and our masterwork dodging of the SOD. We weren't engaged once. Once we reached the tundra zones though, we noticed a stark change. The global messaging was as coldly silent as the air. We noticed miles and miles of unclaimed flotsam. Interesting...all this unclaimed treasure. We had plans of returning to collect the flotsam, but first, we needed to find a place to settle. We quickly realized why it was so quiet. Half dozen of Ship of Damned appeared into view, one after another. A menacing whale was splashing around. With me in the crow's nest, I navigated us through to the nearest land. It was tense, but we made it without being engaged. The land had changed quite a bit since we last visited. All of the open land was claimed, however, no one built any permanent structures. They claimed the land, then abandoned it. We found a place that we found suitable, then took one of the abandoned spots. No one contested. After setting down on land, we ran around inspecting the resources. We admired the view. It sure was open, free, and... **desolate** ...compared to the tropical region we had just come from. Quiet. Very, very quiet. As I was running around admiring the vast openness and the beautiful snowy vistas, I saw a wolf in the distance. I thought I should dispatch it before it caused trouble, so I pulled out my pistol... ...and was promptly killed by an alpha wolf. With daytime light and snowblind, I did not see its telltale glow. I revived on the boat, but now I was without my protective fur clothing. I could not run to the area where I died without bone chilling exposure that killed me within minutes. My matey attempted to retrieve my items, but he had the misfortune of running into a wolf pack that also killed him repeatedly. We managed to retrieve his items, but not mine. We ended up abandoning it; with the spare saps we brought, I crafted new armor. We decided this was not going to work for us after all. We wanted to explore a different area down south. The winds were blowing to the west, so we planned to go over one region, then head southernly. We dodged the SOD as before, but we ran into a very large cluster near the region boundary. My matey and I were both on edge as we skirted so close to them. How close was close? We weren't really sure, but each one we dove through felt like we were cutting the knife's edge. Normally when passing through region boundaries, I jump off and take a look in the next area. Because there were so many ships at the border, we skipped this safety process. So we zoned over...and promptly ran into trouble. There were two green and one yellow Ship of the Damned on the other side. Despite our best maneuvering, we clipped the notice of one of them, then all 3 were in pursuit. We already had full open sails and were running as fast as we could. Myth's Folly was a fast girl, but in this case, we were overwhelmed. Our inexperience with ship repairs did not allow us to react fast enough, and she was taking on too much water. We should have made an emergency stack of replacement hull plating. We were sinking and we didn't know how to save the ship. Myth's Folly sank to the bottom of the deep water in the Tundra. My sailing matey and I drifted in the sea. The island chains were too far away to swim to. We would surely die of the freezing water or sharks first. The 3 Ships of the Damned were still floating between us. After they sank our ship, they no longer cared about us. Since we were going to die anyway, we pulled out our pickaxes and attacked their corrupted hulls. Eventually a shark came along and ended us, but we were satisfied with our final FU to the forsaken ships. I sometimes think about the treasures that went down with Myth's Folly. Did anyone ever find our sunken ship with gold and thousands of pounds worth of jewels, crystals, and saps? Or did it disappear forever under the darkness of the deep sea? Despite this, I think of returning to the tundra. A place so inhospitable, it is a challenge to tame it. Perhaps someday we will return again, and conquer it.
  6. The gap between a max lvl tamed animal and your average alpha is insanely large to the point where no tame can ever survive an alpha long enough to at least run out of its aggro range. I like running into alphas now and then, but the system need a fix. I suggest a aggro system based on animal. for example make it so bears, lions and wolfs don't aggro on a tamed elephant unless attacked. Because lets face it, in real life..none of them would mess with an elephant. Make bulls aggro free from wolfs but not lions. Because again..in the wild a lion would go for a bull but wolves would not unless in its a very large pack. Rhino, again...only an elephant would mess with a rhino, no wolf or lion in the wild would. Lion/wolf...well I don't see a reason why they wouldn't aggro any other carnivore. Bears could be no aggro from lion or wolf or in your face aggro range required. this way you can harvest without fear unless you get close enough to pet the enemy. This would at least give the harvester tames which happen to be the larger animals a chance to have their utility without having to lose them and retame them several times a day.
  7. So resource spawns are supposed to be affected by structures, why are animals not? I logged in today to find that a level 2 wild wolf spawned in my tamed animal pen and killed an elephant, lion, tiger, cow, and my bear. Some of which i can't get on my server/section. Another person on my island had a wild animal spawn in their house. I could have avoided this specific instance if pets were on neutral, but if it was an alpha, they would have all died anyways so the point still stands. Fix this. I don't want to spend every waking minute in game re-taming animals i leveled up already from perfect tames. P.S. Also, in what world would a wolf attack a full grown elephant? Lions don't even do that most of the time and they're twice the size and strength of wolves. I think wild wolves shouldn't attack elephant tames, since they don't attack the wild ones.. P.S.2 Just noticed last animal died to a level 3 wolf, did it level off killing my animals? Or were there 2 wolves spawned in that room??
  8. Stop acting like a differing opinion about the game state is saying all things are perfect. I've never once defended the mechanics of this game saying it is all perfect, I've simply had a different opinion than you and others about what actually needs to be changed. As for someone in full armor and a shield/sword dying to a wolf, how about simple game mechanics of either being taken by surprise or not being prepared enough for the wolf battle. There are obviously balance issues that need to be adjusted but if you can't take a single wolf you might have worse problems than the balance issues. Now the spawning in of dozens upon dozens of wolves in an area all within a few minutes along with some alphas, ok yeah that needs fixed. But you expect being able to just tank everything? It's a survival mmo, this isn't guild wars/world of warcraft.
  9. Even in the same biome there are big differences between predator spawns, near my current tundra base is the wolf spawn rate somewhat too high. But I have also visited tundra islands with ridiculous high wolf spawn rates. Maybe because my base is on a big island and the wolf swarm island was smaller. Even on the same Island do you have regional differences: snakes, tigers and cows never spawn near my base, but I have seen them in other parts of my Island.
  10. @Jatheish Would it be possible for aggressive animals to fight each other? They are already hard enough without having to deal with a wolf, a lion, and a giant snake all camping my body together after having absolutely destroyed my lvl 30 something wolf with all points in health and damage. I would feel better about tames if wild animals were also brought more in line. Right now a lvl 5 wolf might as well be a lvl 200 alpha as far as being able to fight it goes most of the time. Also some sort of early warning that an aggressive animal is nearby would help as well. The music seems to wait to start until I'm already sitting at half health in the lions jaws.
  11. Lol, literaly, had 2 storms in a row once, just as storm ended yellow SoD came out of one of tornados and killed our raft like week ago. Or yesterday, had an alpha wolf chase us from the shore forest, we managed to abuse their knockback to our adventage and was launched into the sea... with like 10 hp left or something... manta ray came and finished us. Or the moment when was doing fine a map first time, was just learning how they work and... oh, wolf, those 5-6 undead guys with real weapons and armor could not kill us as fast as that lvl 1 wolf which did it in 4 or 5 bites. As for the sharks, yes, they somewhat fixed manta rays (they still sometimes agro out of deep ocean whenever steping into the water on shore... com'on) but now the sharks are radiculous, said it in another shark discussion, whenever swimming to our small shipyard, there's like 1-3 sharks going of out deep ocean to greet us, they thankfuly don't bite that shipyard or schooner... yet. They never deagro, literaly have to use those underpowered 75 dmg dealing pistols to take them down from the shore which takes multiple bullets per shark. The animal ai is outrageously irritating.
  12. I've been playing the game since launch and despite all the bugs and issues I'm still enjoying it. My major gripe with the game is the balance between Tamed animals and predators on the islands, its still out of whack and because of this my tames have lived in their little box or only a few steps outside of my base under the cover of guards firing grape shot filled swivel guns or very rarely taking a small adventure. When i say small adventures what i mean is I had been using treasure maps (Where the treasure is on my island and not far from my base) to level up my animals due to the awesome exp they provide (using Alpha's to level tames is not feasible.) So a couple of updates ago when they stopped getting exp from the army of the undead I decided they will simply live in their box until they start getting exp again. I was hoping when 10.0 update dropped it would fix the issue and i might be able to level my tames again. Instead they got nerfed hard which was a kick in the peg leg! But the major issue i have now discovered is the requirements for them to actually level up is really out of this world. which makes me think something has gone quite wrong I'll use some of my tames as the example Wolf - wild level 37 Going from Tamed level 11 to 12 requires 120 exp wolf - wild level 38 Going from Tamed level 17 to 18 requires 180 exp both of these seem absolutely fine, the problem arises below: Bear - wild level 13 Going from Tamed level 32 to 33 requires 11,277 exp wolf - wild level 32 Going from Tamed level 40 to 41 requires 50,526 exp Bear - wild level 32 Going from Tamed level 41 to 42 requires 59,378 exp I'm not sure if its just me missing something obvious. I understand that the higher the level the animal the more exp it should need to level up but it seems like the scaling has gone a bit nuts. I wouldn't mind the requirements so much if i was still able to use the treasure maps as a source of exp, but in the current state, there aren't enough animals on my island to even put a dent in the levelling requirements of my higher level animals. Please be aware that all these animals were tamed prior to the 10.0 update. All the best RamboMc
  13. Alphas are the pre-nerf SotD of the land. At least you usually see the SotD and can make some evasive maneuvers. SotD are still found in packs but if the Lady shines on you, you can cross the ocean only dying of exposure. With an alpha, the first you know about it is the red text of your mount dying. I believe the max tamable dino is a level 30. Alphas are frequently 250+. Does anyone else see a problem here, or is it just me? They have massive damage resistance and hit not like a Mack truck but like the fist of an angry god. Two level 40+ wolves and a 35 bear (after being levelled a bit) were destroyed in less than 20 seconds. We were out looking for a particular resource. We were alert, wary and doing a great job of dealing with packs of wild animals, often dealing with 4-5 wolves, a giant snake and a tiger all at the same time. We were all at full health then suddenly the bear died. One bite. Someone yelled "Alpha!" and then my wolf died. The second wolf managed to run about 50m and she died. A level 1 wolf is a formidable opponent to most players on foot but with some dancing and practice you can often survive one. Of course wolves are pack animals. So within another 60 seconds, all the players were dead, too. Lost all our gear. Couldn't get back to our corpses. Once again I find myself wondering two things: 1. WTF were the devs thinking when they set these damage/spawn/resistance/frequency levels? There's nothing fun about this. Alphas are already buffed by virtue of being Alphas. The level disparity makes it utterly absurd! 2. WhyTF should I log back in? So I can spend more hours grinding the mats needed to replace my gear, just so it can be destroyed again an hour or two later? Why should we spend several more hours taming and levelling replacement wolves, then sailing to a place to where bears spawn, spending another 60-120 minutes taming it, a few more hours sailing it home (with a decent chance of being sunk at sea anyway) when I know that there's a very good chance I'll only get an hour's use from it before it gets destroyed in one bite by another alpha? I should point out that during those several hours of my absence, my crewmates have reported at least six more alphas attacking our base. We're not even in a particularly difficult zone. I'm really finding it difficult to get motivated to keep playing.
  14. Long post I am sure some in my opinion are good ideas others are less so… 1. A system of evil, if you sink another boat you gain evil for the company, if your company is EVIL your boats are marked on the current server map for (x) amount of time depending on what you sunk unless the boats are currently anchored. Once the time runs out it goes back to normal and no longer is marked… so bigger company is the more boats they sink the longer your time and more people know when you’re coming. Making it just a tiny bit more fair to play for the smaller companies. Which also helps with people who are legitimately trying to trade stay away from danger and if they do get sunk maybe their attacker will have less luck for a little while.. IF you get initiated on you can freely attack the other company without the risk of EVIL though.. for like a hour. So killing a raft might be 5minutes where killing a galleon might be 3hrs.. (example) 2. I would prefer more immediate gratification and or different type of “rare” loot.. like a chicken I would love to see a 1 in 1000 chance to get a golden egg as drop where maybe you can trade for 100 gold in a Freeport type thing or while hatcheting it maybe a rare feather that is used for a recipe… or maybe a chicken head skin…. Something… or rabbit to give a rare chance for a lucky rabbit leg for increase gold gain from next 1 treasure… Or wolf to drop a rare wolf pelt recipe and rare drop of wolf fur for it… etc… or make treasure map “pieces” drop from animals 1 in 25 chance and combining 5 common gets you a common map, 5 journeyman etc.. something to be like ooh thats cool...! 3. Animal + character stat balancing… hate die’n to an alpha just trying to get gear back over and over…no point in me getting dressed with new set than I have to get 2 sets back… if I try to kill it my body might disappear… I want to feel like I am getting stronger when I level… which brings up the point of 4. Ways to level…. It feels like I just don’t level from anything I can find… after like 50ish 5. Fix some weapons to be able to do the things they should be, example.. stone walls are practically immortal or cost more materials than worth…. Killing people with proper weapon types instead of them being nearly immune except to fire arrows…. Also make it where you can make a proper defense... as well as ways to raid properly... 6. Since you like having wood be wood… maybe when in inventory its wood(1) wood(2) etc… so people know what would they want when trading.. for the recipes that require 5 separate types… so if I have tons of wood(1) on my island.. I can trade it for Wood(2-7) instead of confusion of which wood we need same for other materials... 7. A trading post in Freeport where you might have a special “trade chest” on your boat.. and it takes and swaps or whatever right to the boats so you don’t have to risk actually bringing stuff on you.. especially since if you die there you lose it all. 8. This one people might not like. (can have 2 types of claims) 1 for land claim.. 1 for raiding.. land claim might have a limit of 2 per person 10 for a company but are permanent unless taken, but then for raiding you can have 10 as well at one time… but they work different.. they are temporary flags when you place one it takes 30minutes to place.. they can only be interrupted by any person demolishing it which cancels it instantly, once claimed you can freely building but not demolish anything that isn’t yours and still required to be (x) tiles away from others built things, so u cant try blocking doors in etc.. .. the raiding claims last 1hr. AFTER the raiding claim is over everything placed during the raid, belongs to whoever owns the LAND claim. They can demolish for resources etc… if anything was left. 9. Going back to alphas, and taming, you already have the glow for alphas, what if you had different animals all tamable.. like GREEN glow is a agility.. one that gets 25% bonus movement but loses 25% weight.. or a brown could be 25% bonus weight but loses 25% speed just different “Rare” ones that can spawn that can be tamed. Can be all sorts of variety.. to look for a level + the color you want… might allow animal trading more beneficial than it is now as well… like find a +25-50% gatherer/weight that has -25-50% damage/speed bear/rhino/elephant… would be WELL wanted… could even do icons etc… I am sure I’ll think of more, give me your opinion of each, I am sure there’s plenty flaws in some of them.. add your own to the list…
  15. In the north we have lions and wolves. Contending with the cold and constant rain players have to put the majority of points in fortitude. Taking away potential HP, Stam and Weight benefits. By day two of this game we called Atlas "Wolf Slayer Simulator," as we spent 9 straight hours killing them. Personally it makes little sense really, they spawn faster than rabbits. Rabbits are well known for their breeding habits. Yet it's 10-15 wolves per 1 rabbit. I've been to the tropical area, giant snakes and crocs also breed like rabbits. As well have a bite range that reach walls stacked two high. As for eating through wood so easily. Why? Is this the story of the big bad wolf? 10k hp walls and wolves get to chew through it like paper? Thatch I am willing to understand but when was the last time a story about wolves chewing through a log cabin made the headlines? These mobs are out of control and need a lot of adjusting. Our level 60 bear struggles against 2-3 wolves. Spec'd out bow players struggle against a single wolf at level 1, let alone 2 at 30+ levels.
  16. Further playing is futile lol. Sure, the armor now does something... a lvl 16 wolf does only 8 dmg per bite in fur armor, naked 25 or 26. But considering it takes 2 headshots with pistol, that armor won't stay up for long with being bit multiple times per wolf. Living in tundra, not going to transport thousands of sap everyday to fix 1 set of fur armor bcs that's how bad killing predators is now, the only way is bow and bow takes 3-5 headshots to kill stuff. There's not even a passive animal outside our house, all are wolves that sometimes chase an unfortunate horse and can't clear them without wasting tons of reosurces... just for them to respawn right away. Wanted to finish schooner... but then some ppl say their ships explode on borders. Can't do treasure... bcs guns suck, can't gather resources bcs guns suck, all that can o is sit in house and shoot wolves thro wall, cool. There is only 1 thing that like about this update, machines can be locked, rest is garbage. EDIT: Also what noticed, manta rays no longer are mostly passive and attack only when getting too close to them, they literaly all agro all arround like wolf range whenever touching water, can't even hop in to catch a fish without having 2-3 manta rays chasing and as we know, underwater, guns don't shoot and meele weapons/bow does like 3x less dmg than on land.
  17. Ok, just checked... (stupidly put already reload speed perks in before checking their damage), 189 on low lvl wolf head, that's not even enough to kill with 1 headshot, can kill with 2 headshots 1 wolf..., what about 2 wolves, are we just supposed to accept death even from lvl 1 wolf just bcs there were more than 1? Also sword deals 12 insteed of 15 dmg underwater, they nerfed everything, not only guns. Guess can't play on land lol, everything does baby damage now.
  18. KuRscHi

    Die at Home

I want too know how it is posible that i allways got killed by a wolf when i am offline. i bould a house in 5 walls hight. with not chance for the wolf too get there. i sleep in middle. 5 ceelings away from the wall. but i still get killed from a wolf. and lost all my items on me
  19. Max wild tameable is level 30. Minimum level alpha I've seen is 185. A foot soldier in plate has trouble surviving an attack from even a level 1-4 wolf. Flight is not even an option since players can only outrun turtles. With the alpha buffs and resistances, even a level 1 alpha is a serious fight for a max level tame. Unless you have the luck of spotting the alpha at a distance, the first thing you know about it is when your mount die to its first attack. Do you not see the problem here? If you have the luck to see the alpha first, you can make preparations but you can't actually *fight* an alpha. All you can do is cheese it by getting it stuck between trees or in a trap. A challenging game is great, but putting Zerg in a kindergarten playground is not. The alphas in Ark are pretty good. They are tough but if you have a decent mount and decent armour, you can fight them without cheese. I ask that you use Ark's alpha stats here or at the very least, have alphas only level 1-30. 20. Hi everyones, i'm on PvE serveur and i'm interessting on tamming, at least i'll do a Wolf Lvl 23. I used more than half hour to tame it, and my wolf with me be killed just 100 meters next to our based by 4 Giants Snake, 1 Wolf and 2 Crocs. Just the spawn rate of annimals are incrédible and they are too strong when they attack us in group ! I was a little bit tired to lost every 5 mins a tamed animal because the wild is tooooooo strong and toooo massive.. Is it possible too modify a bit the spawn rate or the toughtness of the wild annimals to get a better expérience of this game !?
  21. Tonight I had a tame lvl 23 tiger and lvl 40 wolf on aggressive inside my base walls on guard duty. I watched both get killed my a lvl 9 wolf which ran through the closed gates. These are large wood gates mind you. My tames were hitting much harder than the wolf, and they both died. Please fix the mobs.
  22. Genius from devs side is a croc/wolf team combo. The wolf 3-hits you in land, the croc if you flee from the wolf into the ocean In the current state this game is playable only for masochists and megatribes, but not for survivors and new players.
  23. Yesterday, I shot a wolf with two pistols. Two hits. I had to finish it off with my bow and arrow. This wolf?...it was a level 4. I was quite disappointed. One was not a headshot as the wold literally spun 90 degrees to go around something. Should not matter. Animals die just fine when shot in the side, or gut area, and can't run when hit in the leg. Stop making it all about head shots. And an FYI, lions don't jump 50 or 100 feet in real life. In fact, they aren't really that good at jumping. I do see a difference at times in the level of a wolf. I was hit by a level 60 as I fled to the water. It took over half my health in one hit. This game is completely out of balance. Animals are unrealistically hard to kill, while ships are unrealistically easy to sink. Thus, most of my focus is on recovering my metal tools, guns, armor, and what I have mined so far. I know that the island I play on exacerbates this because it is one of the largest islands in the game, and has a lot of mountains, forcing all of the creatures into the valleys that you must traverse and gather resources in. As you do this, you often have no warning that wolves, or lions are charging you. It takes so long to mine one rock, that by the time you get done mining it, a set of wolves that were chasing something else, then aggro to you, and you turn to see fangs. Meanwhile, as we are taking resources to our base...me and one of the other Company Admins...we see a death message. As we try to figure out who this level 2 person was that was killed, we see a new message telling us our ship was sunk. Yeah...we got to go out one day and actually have fun with that ship before ONE guy destroyed it from shore, while none of use were there to operate it. So...this is our history in the game so far. We buy the game when it goes on sale. We set up in a lawless area to build a ship. We build a Brigantine. Much PvP happens and we have to repair the ship many times. We eventually get the ship finished, and set sail to find a claim. First voyage lasts minutes as we are swarmed by SotD. Members quit, and some get a refund. The remainder go to an unofficial. We find one that turns out to be very toxic, so we leave and find a better one. We start to get a base going, but before that's even done, people who were there from the start, and thus higher level, attack with superior weapons, and spec'd for combat. We were spec'd to get things done. The results are obvious. So we set up in a different spot, and get into stone, and develop a decent base. Then we start in on a new brigantine. We get it done, and fully outfitted. We set sail, and sink a SotD, and do a little exploring. Then, the next day (yesterday), our ship was sunk by one guy, while it sat there, near shore. So now we have to go smash rocks, and wack trees & plants to get enough to build another ship, and cannons, and ammo. In short, this game is not fun, and not what I thought I was getting into. If it does not get ORP for the ships...ORP that defends it when no crew is within a set distance, then I will leave it, and make sure everyone I know, understands that it is 99% grind, and 1% fun. Alpha animals need to be moved to boss Islands. Animals need to be more realistic in their weaknesses, not just their strengths. They should not heal while in combat. AI crew need to expertly operate the ship...near impenetrable defense, or ORP for the ship. One man should not be able to sink a large ship. Game needs a reputation system, with harsh penalties for earning the title of outlaw, most wanted pirates, etc... Skill tree is an abomination. Needs totally reworked. Need to be able to spec into multiple things at the same time. In other words, skill points only for combat types, and you choose which style of combat is for you. The skill tree should be divided into an occupation, a talent, and a combat style, with points dedicated to just that tree. Bow and arrows should not be nerfed. One arrow can kill you the same as one bullet, in real life. Range is the difference, and noise. The Bow and Arrow should be mostly silent, while the gun is very loud. And the bow is faster to reload. Right now, the bow is nerfed to the point of being near useless.
  24. 126 dmg to cow head?, only 100+ dmg to wolf head?, can o 87 dmg o wolf head with bow, that's a joke damage, here was perking up to get pistol and though that wolf menace will be over, it barely even takes half their health bar, reloads long and can't be used in water. Realy hope blunderbuss is much better otherwise might aswell just pray wolves get nerfed and stick to the bow...
  25. ok so the Flintlock is fine. You can hit for really high damage if you hit something with low armor value. Shoot a wolf in the head and you will pretty much one shot kill it. Shoot a high level wolf in the head and you will make it mad. Shoot an Alpha Wolf in the head and it will laugh at you.
