  1. So skill points got f*cked today pretty bad. Up until now I was enjoying solo play, ballin' around in my sloop, fragging kids with pistols and such, and dying to vitamin D*ickhead. It's not really viable anymore . Looking to join a good EU PvP official server company. English speaking and mature. TS or mumble is a huge plus, discord voice is meh. Minimal sperging on comms is a must. IGN: Sea Wolf I'm like level 19 atm. In terms of skill tree I'm probably going to go gunnery(pistols, grenades ect) and artillery later on. Let me know company size and rough-ish timezones if interested.
  2. my place is the same. Not sooner do you kill them but then they respawn within a few mins. Build guns pikes ect yep did that but find the resource grind is 90% weapons and the last 10 whatever else. I dont mind the wolf or what ever here and there but this is just ridiculous.

Hi, My Buddy and I - yes just the two of us - spent the better part of three days gathering resource, contending with alpha wolf spawns, hunger cold, etc,etc only to have our newly created ship destroyed still in the sloop!!! Please reconsider this patch and rollback, if its intended to get smashed by ghost ships while trying to build then we out ... not gunna get those two days back >.<
  4. Hostile Animal Spawns - Currently there are lawless islands with entire colonies of things that want to kill you. I understand adding predators to islands outside of freeports but currently it's at insane levels. Either change the spawn rates or make it some they kill each other some it thins out the herd. I don't understand why a croc doesn't try to eat a wolf.... Ship Decay Rate - Ships erode over time but currently I think it's a little steep. Dropping the decay by about 40-60% would really be nice. It would really help out people that work, all players to put time elsewhere, and still make ship maintenance a necessary part of sailing around. Vitamin decay vs food decay - Food does not decay while the player is not actively doing something, so if your sailing along, your vitamin levels are plummeting while food doesn't. This seems like a major oversight, but I think the remedy to this would be do decrease vitamin decay by quite a bit. Keeping food is already hard, so increasing food decay would actually make it even more of a chore to stay alive. Make it challenging, not impossible. Resource Respawn Rates - Islands outside of freeports are sometimes barren of resource because people have populated them with structures and left. Please decrease the no spawn ring around structures so new visitors to islands can actually partake in exploration and gathering. I know structure decay is there, but it's not working / being effective. Exploration - Where is my incentive to explore beside building ships? Give us things to do, reasons to go out and do things other than farming materials. Discoveries - Add surveying and about 300% more kinds of flora and materials. The Age of Exploration involved discovering things, not just islands. Having a sailing game only about piracy is boring, add more "meat" to the game. Trading - I don't understand how trading is added in the game. Yes you can do it with players but what about the ports? I suggest adding copper and silver currency to the game and allowing players to make coins. ( Meaning being in a large company has perks ) Give freeports goods and supplies to sell to players for all 3 currencies ( copper, silver, gold, for example ). This gives players incentive to return to freeports and interact with new players and recruit them, as well as offers items to all of the above. This creates traders and give pirates an incentive to pirate at sea. Ships - Add more kinds, there are all kinds of ships from this era. If you add my trading suggestion, then trading vessels will be something to think about. Galleys were also used during this time and would be fun from a crew ( both player and AI ) and gameplay perspective. Galleys had rams, so it would add some fun gameplay around that, and used oars and sails, often latin sails. I might add more to this list, but I think a lot of this would really be cool additions. I was on an Island with plenty of trees after a few hours they stopped respawning and now I had to switch islands but getting claims on PVE can be hard since one crew can claim an entire island. 3. Crew Groups randomly resetting and deleting when I relog. happened a few times and this can be a problem since I have people in my crew that are lower ranks and I don't want them to have access to certain containers since they could steal. 4. Players can get stuck after logging back in on top of a small shipyard. 5. Vitamin system is horrible and needs balancing. Some changes needed IMO. 6. Wolfs and Lions are OP. Too many spawn and can constantly spawn every few mins after killing them. Needs some balancing or reducing amount spawned. I am constantly having to swim in the sea to escape them. Some I can fight but even a sword and armor can take a while to kill the wolfs. After fighting 1 wolf I don't have enough health to fight anything. I am now on an island with snakes and they are balanced since they are hard to see in the grass and can easily be avoided and outran if you keep aware of the surroundings. 7. Servers crashing every so often and ends up with a rollback. 8. Sometimes the rafts and other boats can bug out. When I lower the sails the anchor drops automatically but the boat still moves and then I can not raise the sails to stop the boat and the anchor just stays in the water and I can not raise or drop the anchor unless I take the boat back to the same spot. 9. Bed respawn timers are not showing correctly.
  6. I've been playing for a couple of days, and have accumulated a bunch of questions: 1. When we start out, we can only craft Cloth Armor. What's the next armor tier, and are all other armors unlocked via the Armory skill tree? 2. Let's say I collect 70 Fish Meat. It'll instantly start decaying, but only 1 unit at a time (unless I'm mistaken). Does this mean that my Fish Meat would decay twice as fast if I split the stack in half (2x35)? 3. Yesterday I logged out standing in my fully repaired raft. When I logged in today, everything seemed to be in order. But 5 seconds after I left my raft, it sank. What could the explanation be? Quick gradual offline decay which coincidentally finished destroying the raft just as I logged in? 4. Let's say a ship has many storage boxes in it, then sinks. What happens to the storage boxes -- do they sink to the ocean floor, and can they still be accessed there? 5. When a storage box decays, do the contents decay as well? Or will the contents spill out once the storage box is removed from the game? 6. Is the heavy plate armor superior to all other armors, or are there good arguments for using light armor instead? In example, will you sink if you're wearing plate armor in the water? Or will you run slower, or spend your stamina more quickly? 7. I logged out for 15 minutes earlier today. When I logged back in, a wolf had already killed me. Does this mean that any hostile animal can kill me if it comes across my sleeping body while I'm logged out? So if I don't have a base yet, I should probably sail out on the ocean with my raft before logging off? 8. Can my corpse be looted on PvE server? I appreciate answers to any of these, thanks!
  7. This game is great when you're sailing, exploring and meeting possible allies or enemies. The problem is the survival element that is too strong on it and stays in the way of most fun not adding much fun in the process at all. While leaving the intial isle and exploring the world is great it may take a while punching trees to half of your life to get enough wood or punching stone for the same purpose. The safe "E" to collect option is not always avaliable. We could have a reduction of resource required for the intial tools and first weapon(stone spear). After you gave the fist step, dressed yourself and built your raft, bed, chest and campfire on that raft, the next progress step would require metal. Every crafting bench, ship or tool you may want to craft now will require about 20 metal and metal is not that accessible. While you may find metal spawns that yield up to 200 metal on one run, for someone starting it may take hours or days to find such spawn and have the luck its avaliable. Pickaxe on stone is just as bad or worse to get that amount of metal. About the lone wolfs. While the whole game seems to be focused on group play and conflict ( even on PvE) the lone wolf experience is just broken. I know as i said the game is meant tobe played in groups but many people would happen to play it alone for while until they find a company to join. Right now the game got about 46k players online but that wont last forever and lower pop times will show up. A healthier solo player experience is desirable specially that you guys dont allows a offline SP experience even knowing its built on Ark's skeleton. Let people focus on what's really nice and unique about it instead of keeping reminding that its an Hardcore Ark son. As a streamer said: Right now the game is good but you have to fight it before play it. Thats not nice at all.

    Swarms

    Okay, I loved playing Ark, and I'm definitly having fun in Atlas as well, but there's moments where I want to throw my keyboard against the wall because of this game. Disembark on an island, sure there's some dangerous things around, but getting swarmed out of the blue by 5 wolves, 4 crocolisks, 3 snakes and 2 scorpions? Can we please have some logic in place that prevents packs from swarming the islands? It's annoying enough having to manage all resources, getting stuck in a pouncing wolf that I really don't need to be ambushed by 12 creatures at once.
  9. / Sheep/Ram - chamomile - (Taming - time for a L8 "ram" was ~ 30 min.) I tamed a Ram and I could ride it. (1. Beastmaster 2. over skill "ride") - *but a huge l200+ Alpha Wolf have eat my "highspeed" ram
  10. The hostile mob density and there aggro range is way too much. Im Walking along trying to gather my dam fiber and theirs literally 6 wolfs"Two of which are alphas", 3 scorpions, 6 snakes and a crocodile. Out of no where coming to destroy my face. Then when i try and run from this pack of death i get stuck inside of the dam wolf. There are some real issues here.

Hi my name is pontus and im 28y/o frome Sweden long time ARK fan with many hundreds of hours played:) I love this game even more! and huge work the team doing to the servers . the game is smoother and smoother for every patch i have a thing that is kind of a big one when you playing alone as iam doing right now . have build my self a sloop and enjoying my time at seas byt when i sail close to a island it is 9/10 times that a elit(100+lvl) crocodile attacking me adn oneshoots me and then camping under the boat so it may take 10 repawns before i can get away And the coasts are flooded with crocodiles and wolfs so its almost impossible to get onto land . the big problem is not the number of crocks and wolf but the power of them cuz one crocodile lvl 1-5 is a big handfull for one player . maybe not if you are fully geard and lvl20-25+. sure im up for hard challenges but its almost 99% death so i have to respawn on the ship and sail on its mostly these 2 problem that is clamping down my enjoyment and experience of this great game ! Devs keep up the good work!

So after having tamed both low level(2) and higher level(28) creatures -Chicken, Wolves, Lions, Flying Vermin-, I have come to the realization based both on difficulty(time spent and resources used) and how easily tames are able to die to just about anything. That either costs to craft said taming items(Bolas) need to be reduced or it needs to give anywhere from 3-5(The item shows that its a 5x craft on the icon but it only gives one?) of the item per craft. Taming also requires a cage/trap for bola tames else when they run you lose too much taming progress. (Yet another resource dump for a map that seems very sparse in resources no matter where you go) Taming would be completely bonk without the improved taming talents and even with them, honestly taming is not worth whatever benefit you think you would get from said tame(Because everything seems to stand up with 200-230 health at most, meaning guns or fire arrows would kill them in 1-2 maybe 3 shots at most, mind you with a saddle that granted 25 armor) Taming verses time, effort, and resources put into verses the outcome of what you receive is completely imbalanced and needs reworking.(Reduced times between feeds perhaps, Increased bola duration to perhaps twice or three times the current duration, Further improvements to the taming efficiency to boost it along further perhaps, Boosting the feeding to maybe 5% at most per feed, Given the amount of points you have to use to even get most of the bare minimum amount of the useful/necessary skills in beastmastery tree it all feels VERY under whelming, Or even perhaps taking a bit from each column and boosting everything above a bit. -Baring in mind i know this needs to be balanced to fit into PvP and any potential advantage over those that dont intend or plan on taming- [at max currently you get on a lvl 28 wolf 1.9% per feed at 2-3 feeds per bola, with a 25 sec CD between feeds, a bola timer of 1 minute 30 seconds-2 minutes and needing to knock the health to about 15-25% to even bola them to start with, minding you that their health regenerates to either half or almost full during the feeding time/bola duration, i lost count on re-bolas and bone feeds honestly] [Lion at lvl 18 is about 1.5-2% per feed, 35 sec re-feed, 1:30-2min re-bola timer, 2-3 feeds per bola, the re-knocking of health back to the range to re-bola, the health regenerating, took around 16 bolas and 40+ prime meat] Taming is also a huge reason for me even wanting to play the game and my experience has made me log out a number of times out of frustration. Feel free to share opinions with constructive criticism or other improvements you think would be good and beneficial to the taming process. Yes I know its a game for "Piratey Shenanigans, Mutinies, Scurvy, Peg Leg Mishaps, and Eye Patch Misadventures" but they added taming for a reason be it a after thought or not it doesn't need to go unimproved if possible and yes it may not be as high a priority as bigger issues but it does need to be mentioned so it can be made more enjoyable.
  14. Islands are way to overpopulated with animals..you cant even walk a few meters without hitting on a wolf, giant snake or whatever biom you are at the moment. Animals have a way too fast healing rate...not even 20 seconds and an almost dead animal is fully healed The spotting range of animals is also waaaaay too high...they are able to spot you from almost 200 meters Spawning on beds needs to be fixed Spoiling rate for most edible stuff is much too low even though you can preservate it later Add a mixed manure for keeping poo there and mix it with thatch for fertilizer Add at least some sort of tutorial for ppl dont know what for example the Vitamins are and tipps how to get them. Not everyone is an Ark Fanboy like most here. There should be a minimum requirement for claiming Land...like a Crew of at least 3 PPL for at least 24h. right now every idiot can Claim land and though its hard to find a free spot. Fireplaces dont seem to be working to keep you warm ...i think i red not even 2 fireplaces close seem to work. Tanslations...since this is more of an Ark Clone ...why there is still no Translation Will add more soon....
  15. I have already seen these suggestions, but I hope that opening another suggestion shows you the urgency of fixing this, because it truely takes out all the fun out of the game. 1. Land claiming At this point, it seems impossible to claim land. We've sailed from the starter island in the east to almost the middle of the map, and there was literally barely space left to claim - and in about 75% of the cases, there were even no buildings, only the flags. -> Please add a limitation for the claiming flags per company! I'm pretty sure this problem popped up because you can also claim ships with this same flag - maybe simply adding a "ship-overtake-flag" in addition to the "land-claiming-flag" with limitations per tribemember is a solution. However, we managed to get a nice piece of land in an absolutely "deathzone" of an island, what brings my suggestion to Point 2: 2. Hostile animal spawning Sorry, but this is absolutely insane! We manage to build one single thatch foundation in about 2 hours whilst defending against an alpha snake, an alpha wolf, a horde of crocodiles and wolves, some rattle snakes and about 5 vultures. We didn't even had the time to craft arrows to defend. I don't have any problems with a horde of wolves strolling around the island (ok, maybe not on a carribbean island...) and some crocos lying at the beach, but with two alphas and a mixed horde of hostile animals attacking all at the same time, it is impossible to even build a small house, not to mention a big shipyard... So, we let the land claimed and continue to sail to other islands - and so the next piece of land is claimed and blocked and literally no one has something out of it - what takes us again to point 1) of my suggestion. -> Reduce significantly the spawn of alphas (maybe one per island or limitated to the islands with caves) and hostile animals and reduce their aggro radius. At this point, our gaming sessions in ATLAS looks like: 1. spawn on bed on the raft 2. sail to an island 3. seeing that all land is claimed 4. continue to sail where the wind takes us 5. dying because of vitamin deficient 6. go to point 1 That is truely no fun anymore and needs to be fixed ASAP - you can see in the steam forums that we are by far not the only ones complaining about these mechanics.   17. You shouldn't put alpha animals on the starting islands. That's just stupid and it kind of takes the fun away if you just get brutally killed by an alpha wolf in a zone that's supposed to be "safe" to start the game in. Hours of work in the drain. Keep these animals in zones that are outside of the starting islands thanks.
  18. I died to an alpha wolf in G11 and then it would not let me revive on my, now i cant get back so i started back at freeport again and made a rafty with a bed You still cannot port to your other ship if its in a different quadarant!

  20. After countless deaths/restarting due to not being able to loot your corpse in freeports, I finally got to leave the freeport last night. Spent hours rafting from sector to sector looking for a place to call home. Finally found an island with an area to claim as my own, and just as I made my claim, got attacked by a wolf and died. Up to this point, the bed I placed on my raft had worked just fine. Now, when I try to spawn on my bed the screen goes white for a few seconds as if it's trying to spawn me in, then goes back to the respawn screen. I've tried to respawn dozens of times and it just won't let me. So here I am, back in the freeport, over 5 quadrants away from my raft+bed, with nothing again. This game sure is fun.
  21. so 3 guys trained just about every snake croc wolf loin and then start killing are offline teammates. They lured aplha snakes and croc to destroy are wall of are house we had and then lure it inside to kill offline teammate and after 2 hours of dealing with this most of are stuff is destroyed from them and after break the chest with the snakes they stole every thing from them. people like this need to be banned when playing on a pve server as you can see there one claim with 1 flag is x3 the size of normal claim they seem to have after counting there claims 7 claim for 3 guys all the red from top right to just under are base are theres

I love this game, but right now its "sail raft to island, get spawnkilled by level 217 alpha lion, escape lion only to get killed by level 167 alpha wolf, get tired of that so make new character in different biome, then get killed by swarms of level 15 crocodiles". Its basically impossible to play right now, I've been struggling for over an hour just to get on this island for more than 30 seconds... I tabbed out specifically to write a post on it
  23. I have been spawned in the middle of a giant flesh totems in the middle of the ocean. spawned in the middle of the ocean in a pool of sharks, another in a pool of electric eels. I was glitched and couldnt enter na pvp for hours. then my character was reset to lvl1 once. and then again... then spawned int the middle of an island so full of crocodiles could barely move... On this crocodile island i managed to live until i build a raft.... seeing i cannot respawn in any kind of logical way.. no death was the only way..... so i sailed my raft, picked up my partner and sailed for hours.... just to see one island after another full of claim flags already..... Okay so finally get to an island thought was abandoned... when i was killed by a wolf i respawned on my bed and some dude was on it looking through my campfire... i beat him to death with my fists despite the arrows he plunged into my chest.... and i died from the elements..... then i could not respawn on my raft bed.... then i tried to change home servers to one closer to my raft because the bed now dont work.... and my account went to character creationg... now i have no levels.... no raft... no company... and im on these fucked up starter islands again that dont even have resources to make a new damned raft...... And 100s of other people are having the same crap happen... and yet some few players are sneaking through the hell and flourishing... building large boats already.... How is this at all okay??? The servers need to be wiped... Launch got fucked up... okay... it was a rough start.... but really? other dudes get to make huge boats and claim whole islands... and we are screwed because of all the server launch hell.... Its not okay.
  24. I finally left the Freeport and found a destination to try and settle down (J5 to be exact) got on land got attacked by a wolf, I managed to kill it then a 183 Alpha scorpion decided to end me. I was unable to respawn on the bed on my raft so I tried to change my bed to a homeserver close to J5 and have been unable to get back into any server since.
  25. I've encountered pack of wolves earlier, the knockback wolf had when it's attacking player is way too annoying lol
