  1. I placed a farmhouse around chamomile, wild peppers, onions, carrots, and fiber. The only thing it collects is fiber. Does it not collect food anymore or am I doing something wrong?
  2. Dear ATLAS developers and players (this is google translate essay) I care about this game because the basics and the climate you have created is incomparable to any other production. However, I must express my opinion on why this game will not be a success on the gaming market. Or rather it will slowly die. The game has classified itself to the genre of survival / sandbox / exploration / PvP - this is the basic assumption. Based on these basic assumptions of the game, you can put the most important game downs. Survival: - Vitamins are only a hindrance and annoy the players - they need a modification. Sometimes the player simply decides to die than spend extra minutes picking up supplies. There was no such thing in ARK. We got a food recipe for it, which we could create according to our preferences. There is no such thing here. - Drinking water is also an annoying difficulty. In hot climates there are not enough places to dig this water. There is no rain if we would like to collect this water. In the ark we could create an irrigation system without any problems (and it was a pleasure in itself) - In cold climates, the hunger rate drops even more and it is even harder to keep vitamins at a decent level. - Putting armor of different types carries too many penalties and leaves no free choice. We can wear heavy armor (the best in the game) only in moderate climates. - You should be more focused on the fantasy atmosphere. Wolves, lions and snakes are not too demanding opponents. The game in real climates is not very interesting. Why not add creatures from fantasy to the world of ATLAS? Something that created an actual threat, and perhaps a challenge for the player? - Taming and breeding is as annoying as boring. This is certainly not as much fun as in ARK. Seriously think about the whole revorkiem. - You created the game in the assumption of exploration and hence these annoying factors. Here we have to sail a boat, sometimes over an hour, for example, want to tame an animal that is not in the mood of our island Or, for example, if we would like to do an item from the blueprint we found, we need to visit even three different climates! - Solo play is not possible. sandbox: - There are no structures with an angle of 45 degrees - We waste a lot of time on the ship's float. It's nice, but after a while it makes us realize that this game is dead. - This is just my suggestion, but I think that there is too little land and too much ocean. Solid continents would be useful instead of islands. - There are few cons or many, but it is not important. The basics of the game are very good for this genre and it's not something extra to come up with. - Solo play is not possible. Exploration: - The game forces us to explore. Nothing else needs to be added in this sentence. The assumption is wrong at the very basics. Change your thinking to reward exploration - Exploration is boring. There is nothing to discover. There are no surprises, repetitive content. - Solo play is not possible. PvP: - PvP is very interesting. Fuck, he's awesome. Only that it does not bring any benefits beyond pleasure. The balance of benefits and effort is lacking. - To create an interesting situation for PvP, too much effort is required. We need a ship with cannons, weapons, 2-3 players. not just any ship, at least Schooner. It's not that the ship's farm is tiring, but building the ship itself takes too much time. - To assemble equipment for a good PvP, we need a few players where everyone specializes in something else. For PvP, we need a firearm, a ship, cannons, a grappling hook, maybe some animal with a trailer. For this we need at least 5 players in the game at the same time. Specializing in other fields - Solo play is not possible. Graphics: - We hear the sound of the night / day and suddenly the light goes out / lights up. It's unnatural. - Shadows move unnaturally with the camera. - Waves on the sea, if they are interesting, after some time they are boring. Storms are boring and undemanding. Rework! - Why is this mist at sea? - Gamma is totally unmatched. In winter climates, snow winks. The / gamma X command does not help at all. You must use this command non-stop to be able to play. I feel sorry for players who do not know this command. - Ships "ship of the damned" look like big motor boats, not like ships of the undead. Bugia: - Under the influence of waves at sea, the player is often under the last deck of the ship and it is impossible to get out without destroying the ship's side. - The guardians of the chest are hiding under the ground, despite being in a fight with the player. I added a point that solo play is impossible. I play 5 players in the team. It's impossible to believe it or not - it kills the game more than any of the minuses I mentioned. I have even more suggestions that I think 100% of the players think is right, but I have mentioned the most important ones that should be resolved by ASAP.
  3. I have played since Xbox crossed over at the beginning Sad to see everything going wrong. The good types of ship types of animals. Having alliances. The bad more then 10 in a company and allowing more then 5 alliances. Allowing a company to own more then 1 island in a grid. But allow max 3 owned islands per company. Attack time should be limited to 4 hours daily 7 makes it a full time job...it's a game not a job!!!! Allow for companies to file vacation periods twice a year 7 days each. Let us bury our company treasure and you can find our treasure if you catch and release...as a reward for letting you go. Must be the leader. Boats need to all be customizable. Animals should be allowed to be killed after claim no cool down. This will help maintaining our animal/garbage ones numbers.
  4. Summed up in short Pre-crafted ships are Garbage. The excuse that exploits on ships are rampant is so lazy. No Blueprints, no use for resources, no use for sails. Just cookie cut versions that the devs which we already know are terrible at designing and implementing let alone following through with their ideas promised to expand upon. How? By allowing you to build 40 structures on the boat. Oh gee... They still have not fixed the bug where the precrafted ramming galleon's nose of the ship when down to 0 hp from 15k instantly sinks the boat despite the rest of the ship being repaired. If they cannot fix a precrafted ship thats been in the game since the start of the season why would you think they could bring in new boats that arent as broken if not more broken that what is currently in game. (wild how their solution to fixing something is to bring in a totally new system that's more flawed than the last) Some dev justified their job somehow by suggesting this swap is my guess. What are your thoughts about these pre-crafted ships and their effect on the future of PVP in the game. PVE aside. Also i feel the devs are brain dead with the new claim system they fail to realize mortars are a structure in this game capable of cross island hits. How are you going to defend against mortars when part of the island is in peace mortaring your part of the island in The new Kraken ship cannot turn without the sails open HOLY Crap thats terrible the new kraken ship also when the front or back plank are 0 hp Instantly sinks. Man Imagine still having a known bug in the "new" boat system and then adding onto it. If they implement the new system they should get rid of craft limits on blueprints and let it be like ark.We also neeed BP CRAFTING STATIONS to Craft the blueprints that require ALLOT of resources 500 slots please... This would make people farm more for resources not grind out RNG (what is this a fucking casino? ) for a bp that goes away after 2 fucking crafts or 5 sails.. after 5 months of looking for it.. that's garbage and you know it. We deserve infinity crafts on blueprints just like ark...this will push an economy into the game because you can sell pre-crafted boats for in game gold or other Blue-prints. New players could find a great gun port blue print or sniper or Armour and trade it for anything with another. If a mega tribe has multiple sail bps over a certain % it's in their best interest to trade them for things they lack.... Every one clutches their boats like pearls bc they are afraid to lose something they invested 4 months farming for. RNG in this game i repeat is garbage and you know it. NO ONE QUITS A GAME BECAUSE THEY CAN CRAFT AS MANY BOATS AS THEY WANT. combat.? @devs
  5. I am xbox gamer and it so horrible looking the graphics I cant put my self threw the pain to play. I was hoping it could have been almost as good as ARK. I prefer pirate games. So this basically ruined my dreams of enjoying a survival pirate game. Sea of Thieves is not a survival game really. Xbox does not really have a survival pirate game now. Such a loss there it makes me sad like very sad. Because when it released i thought it was one of the more pretty Xbox games. Now its worse then Nintendo 64 graphics. FUNNY why its so laggy and buggy because they dont know how to control building spam. It was a simple fix but they went the wrong way. The Claim towers was the way to go. CLAIM TOWERS CLAIM TOWERS CLAIM TOWERS. if you have claim towers people can not build out side of it. Refine it and make it work. FIX IT!
  6. I try to explain it in very easy words. a) you build warehouse and market b) you place large stone gates around c) some noob with 1 sloop and 1 cannon passes by d) noob shoots down the large stone gate and the warehouse e) game over, there in NOTHING you can do to prevent that. Solution : More HP to warehouses... MUCH more HP (like the market)
  7. Can someone please explain to me why this isn't turning blue? The foundation is exactly the right size. I've checked distances to other farmhouses. I have permission to place, and if I'm down on the beach, it will turn blue.
  8. I'm in a desert biome and it never rains. So I went the route of stone reservoirs and pipes. I started off with only the one on the right side of the screenshot. It was piped to a faucet on the first floor and irrigation pipes on the roof for small crop plots. That worked fine for a while but then it was clear that was not enough. So then I built the one to the left and connected a straight pipe running under the wood ramp to the original reservoir. I was expecting that pipe to equalize the amount of water in both. It did not. Also the other two I built on the left of that are also imbalanced. Is this normal? I've seen screenshots of people with multiple reservoirs connected. Even people doing 3x3 squares. Do they just also not know how they work but they think they do? https://imgur.com/qy0nqTv
  9. Here me out: I have been playing Atlas from day 1. I have never had an issue finding a nice island with nice island owners who want a taco loving pirate to settle on their on land. Since the 1 PVE map and farmhouse/warehouses, it seems settlers who play daily are not wanted on any owned island. I dont mind lawless, but claimed land always has a better QOL of life if the owners demo bed spams. I have been from island to island and sometimes I get lucky and build a small hut but no shipyards. And every time I try and settle, I get the age old "it's not you, it's me." I have even sailed far and wide when island names say "looking for settlers", only to have it change when I get there Now I am an easy going gal, I dont build ugly, I have some good jokes, I have a bear obsession, I have a loyal brother who rolls with me and I am a pretty great person in general. But I am trying to figure out why after however long Atlas as been out, I seem to be looking for love in all the wrong places. What has changed that has caused me to be rejected daily. Am I too blonde, am I not piratey enough? Do I have a lisp? Bad jokes? Is there anyone out there that needs to the love of a loyal taco loving pirate and her first mate/co captain brother and has a nice spot on some pretty land with room for 2 shipyards, a house and animal pen, maybe a smol a garden and some pretty flowers? Looking for our forever home or forever until next wipe home. Will anyone out there give this scallywag a home? I am looking for someone to invest me, could you be the one? Side Note to the Devs: Can we look at what you guys have changed that has caused this shift in many (I know its know being unloved when trying to settle? Can we get some more claimable islands? Can we give something to island owners to make it worth it, since the warehouses and farms seems to mean they dont need taxes? (I dont actually know this is the reason but it seems this may be a reason.) Can you give island owners a better reason to have more than 2 settlers who take the entire island for their builds? Can we at least just examine this as a whole? Sincerely, Belle the Janitor PVE Taco Loving Pirate +1
  10. Warehouses do not gather resources, they pull resources harvested from company owned farmhouses within it's massive radius. Why would it matter how close you build one warehouse to another company's? It makes sense for farmhouses, you are literally contesting a small radius of resources. The building restriction should only apply to your own company. Currently, only one company (whoever builds a warehouse first) can build a warehouse on a island as the restriction radius takes up 1/4 of the size of the standard island. Furthermore you limited players even more on this with the requirement to build a warehouse near water (why?).
  11. The crew on my ship shows me they want 1 gold every 2 hours. after 5 min. it jumped to every 5 hours then back to 2 hours. not sure if that is how it should be.
  12. i dont know where to post this, my first time on a form, but anyway im breeding and idk if im just crazy or doing it wrong or if somethings broke but ive bred like 8 bears and EVERY single baby has the same exact stat to the decimal point. and they were bread at different times with different parents am i doing something wrong??
  13. Tier 3 taming and mostly maxed out taming tree. Bolas. Wheat. Taming pen. I don't understand why I can't tame elephants. I get the prompt to feed it wheat, but nothing happens. Is it somehow glitched inside of my taming pen or something? Has anyone tried taming elephants since last patch? https://imgur.com/a/msFIZs5 https://imgur.com/a/WXTF4Dc
  14. Hi, Network: EU PVP Grid: O14 Description of issue: This is in 0-14, frozen shores island (bottom left) When you are in our island and open the map it shows you in the wrong location, showing beds in the water for example. I noticed that the only problem is that the map as shown in the atlas is rotated 90 degress. To fix the problem seems easy, it would be just updating the atlas map and rotate this island 90 deg to the right (obviously i don't know how difficult could this be once coding) Any screenshots or video demonstrating the bug: This is the map as shown inside the game when you open atlas: This is how it should be, just rotated 90 deg to the right. CCC CODE: cheat TP O14 -248203 397266 2199 Thanks! Keep the great work!
  15. Please check the boom angle and sail bulge of Handling sail and Weight sail in relation to wind direction. I think is "OK-ish" to one side, but disastrously wrong the other side. Handling sail boom should always point more or less AWAY from the WIND. (Unless you press the boom by hand against the wind and you sail backwards!) Bulge should always be AWAY from the wind like the other sails. (You must make two alternating handling sail meshes or MIRROR sail mesh's x-axis when changing tack. you cannot just rotate all along y-axis) On Running wind (behind) the boom can be on either side (of your choice) (90 degrees to wind) and bulge forward. Suggesting to Google images "sail positions for points of sail" / Old sailor PS. Great game (800+ hrs)
  16. Help please. We created a server and configure it to capture the island with one flag does not work. What are we doing wrong?
  17. =INTRODUCTION= I've recently decided to come back and take a look at ATLAS after a very lengthy hiatus from the game. Not being into the "MMO" scene, I elected to go back to Single Player and see what changes have been made - on both the "Ocean" map and the Blackwood map - which was initially designed for smaller servers/Single Player. What is disappointing to see is that Single Player - a game mode that has been included from the start - appears to have been neglected in favour of "doubling down" on the multiplayer aspect which appears to be going catastrophically wrong, given the rather passionate responses I've been reading through today. Single Player is useful to people for many reasons. 1 - It allows people to play ATLAS either alone or, though a non-dedicated server (or even a small dedicated server), with a small group of friends and experience the storyline of ATLAS. 2 - It allows people to get a feel for ATLAS without the rampant toxicity multiplayer servers typically devolve into. 3 - It allows people to experiment with and/or design ships and bases that they may decide to employ on a multiplayer server. For those reasons alone, while it may not be "the focus" of Grapeshot Studios (which to me is seems like Wildcard but by a different name), Single Player should be maintained in the same manner as Multiplayer. The following is my opinion, some suggestion and recommendations which - while I am only one person with one opinion - may spark some more creative flare from a developer or a group that can take this further than I possibly could. =CONTENT= For the most part, given my several hours of reacquainting myself with the systems and mechanics, the "new" map that came with the Trade Winds update so far appears to be a significant improvement over the previous iteration. However there are still areas that require addressing. 1 - Ships of the Damned. This was one of the major reasons I stopped playing (from a Single Player perspective) ATLAS the first time around. SotD seem to ignore any damage resistance/modifier changes. They also still spawn in the *STARTER* zone. While a fully crewed sloop in multiplayer can probably outrun them (assuming good wind - which, granted I did not have in SP at the time of my encounter), my partially crewed Single Player sloop was sunk in 4 volleys by a Level 28 Brigantine. After searching high and low for a command line or mod to assist with SotD, I ended up disappointed. I understand that SotD and AotD are embedded into the storyline and the end-game resources so they cannot be removed entirely - however their number and power should be able to be managed by command line/in-game slider. There should be a map guide (or even a revision of the mechanics surrounding SotD) explaining the likelihood of SotD encounters and their relative power in the zones/regions - similar to what occurs for Wild Pirates - so players can make informed decisions. My recommendation for handling Ships of the Damned for Single Player and small Multiplayer servers is to either implement a slider (or command lines) that reduces the level, damage and group size of SotDs that spawn in and disable their spawning in the STARTER zone (at least), if not the zones immediately surrounding the STARTER zone, ENTIRELY. This gives the player(s) a bit of breathing room to get themselves established - so that when the player reaches the open ocean in either an AI-crewed (or player-crewed) Brig or Schooner (or something larger, provided they can acquire the resources from the starter zone/immediate zones) they at least have a chance to defend themselves if they're unable to avoid the ship. I would also recommend, especially for Single Player - but could also work very well in both an Official and Unofficial setting, that SotD only spawn in the regions containing, and immediately surrounding, the Stones of Power locales. 2 - Wild Pirates. This is not a negative, this is actually a commendation. I actually very much applaud of the addition of these AI pirates from not only a Single Player perspective but also from a PvE and PvP perspective. It gives PvE something to fight against on the sea (aside from SotD) and gives the PvPers something to practice against. From a Single Player perspective it implies that the player is trying to establish their own pirate empire. The map also advises the player on just how powerful the Wild Pirates are in the zones/regions before you enter them - so the player can make an informed decision about entering the zone. 3 - Stupidly high temperatures An island with an ambient temperature of 63 degrees. That's hotter than Dubai on a hot day. In fact, that's 7 degrees hotter than the highest recorded temperature. And these temperatures kill players trying to level. Not even swimming in the ocean works at these temperatures. Either a global temperature adjustment, or a command line/slider to manage how high (and also low) temperatures get. 4 - Blackwood This map was intended to be the ideal answer for small multiplayer servers and Single Player. After exploring the map and reading comments regarding Blackwood on Steam (I've not read the comments here) it is apparent that the upkeep of the map has been abandoned. Certain trees are missing textures, it's missing certain resources and certain spawns are tricky to find. At the very least, I would encourage an update to Blackwood to ensure that those who play on the map have access to the same content as the multiplayer game in a much more condensed size. This would also suit smaller multiplayer servers. However I do have an alternate suggestion: 5 - New Map: The New World A map with the same overall size as Blackwood, but modelled after the real world - much like what the multiplayer ATLAS is doing, but on a more compressed scale. Players start in the Caribbean freeport and the Americas on the western side of the map - with the expansive "Atlantic Ocean" (containing the Kraken's Maw - and 'Atlantis' in the depths) between them and Europe, Africa (and perhaps even a representation of Asia and Australia, if it would fit) on the eastern side with the polar caps hosting icy zones representing the Arctic and Antarctic regions at the top and bottom of the map. Where possible animals would be assigned to spawn on their respective land masses/biomes (i.e. Lions, Elephants and Giraffes in Africa, Wolves in the Americas and Europe, etc.). The Stones of Power can be spread throughout the world (such as ruins in South America and Africa, hidden away in ruined castles in Europe, etc) which encourages the player (or players) to sail and explore - to tame specific creatures they would need to head to specific biomes (which, with the ability to utilise the new 'tame transporter' ship, can be great to showcase what is possible in ATLAS). It would also give players several distinct choices on where to live (the Americas, Caribbean, Europe, the Mediterranean or Africa - or the north/south pole as they choose). This map would also include the necessary resources and requirements for end-game content (such as Atlantean ruins), and need to be able to be expanded upon (in terms of catering to future content). As referenced above regarding SotD, SotD would only spawn in certain regions, though especially in the oceans adjacent to Stones of Power and surrounding the Kraken's Maw - meaning a player or players can go 'hunting' for them with only a very minor chance of them appearing elsewhere - and certainly not as soon as you exit the starter zone. 6 - Gold This is more specific to Single Player, but more ways to find/earn gold would be a great addition. As Single Players *need* gold to manage the larger, more capable ships - even to use a Sloop to get off the starter island - one could find themselves essentially bottlenecked trying to find enough gold to afford a crew. I have no issue with the cost of AI crew, or their cost of retention, but coming up with the gold to pay for them to begin with was quite challenging. In my playthrough, very few bits of flotsam spawned in the starter area and I found myself having to use a raft (after already buying and prepping the ill-fated Sloop) to head out into the adjacent, more dangerous zone, to look for flotsam - to then head back to the starter area in order to get myself a crew. In SP, I suppose I am not penalised for staying on the starter island (with the exception of not having access to metal) so this might not be seen as much of an issue, but in a multiplayer setting - you don't necessarily want your players to base out of the starter island: you want them to leave and explore the larger ATLAS world (hence why there is now no metal on the starter islands). Even if, in SP specifically, one of the vendors in the freeport bought a stack of wood, thatch or stone for 1 gold. It's a lot of work (rates notwithstanding) for little gain but if a player is struggling and they're prepared to put in the effort, they can afford to get off the island with a crewed Sloop, leaving the starter zone behind them (though I would still return myself, especially if I was hosting a non-dedicated session with a friend - or if it was a private server). =CONCLUSION= Overall, I did find that ATLAS had fewer, less obvious bugs than when I last played - so it has clearly had some TLC applied. During my 5 or so hours getting reacquainted, I had no trouble with the way leveling now works, or the introduction to progression. I can not, obviously, speak to the balance of the wider multiplayer game as I personally would not seek to play ATLAS on such a scale - as I play with a small, close group of friends. From what I've been able to observe and achieve in my time, there is no issue with how things progress (with the exception of SotD and extremely high temps). If the 6 main points above were to be addressed and/or achieved this would put ATLAS in good stead when it comes out of Early Access. If "v1.0" does not contain methods to address or fix the issues listed above, the game cannot be considered "out of Early Access" when features it has had since EA launch do not function as intended across all game modes. Thank you for reading.

It is a 5 length ship built in the Advanced Shipyard once players have found blueprints for it. Blueprints can be found in shipwrecks. Unlocked in the Advanced Shipwright Skill It comes with 6 tame railings that can store 5 tames each (30 Total). Resources for a base version: Wood - 2500 Thatch - 2000 Fibers - 2000 Metal - 20 New Modular Ship UI We’ve added a popularly voted on request to the game in the form of additional UI for captains to know where leaks and damage is on their modular ships. There are 3 stages for durability: Green - Durability is good Yellow - Durability is moderate Red - Durability is poor If the portion of the ship is flashing, it means this area has a leak. We will look to make this UI element colorblind friendly in the future. Map Menu UI Visual Revamp The Atlas tab map UI has been revamped visually for an easier navigation of the regions. Instead of having dropdown tabs of the regions on the left, all regions available will be shown on one Overworld map. Players will be able to click and see all regions available on the overworld map. To get to the Overworld map click on the icon of the globe in the top left of your map screen. The region the player is currently in on the Overworld map is highlighted in green. Open Water Servers There is a new way to traverse through the atlas’ regions besides portals. There are now intermediate open water servers that connect regions to one another. There are no islands to be found here, just open seas and the treasure and dangers that come along with it. They are known as open waters and there are four of them within the world. They are connected through all sides of the Central Waters region. Depending on which cardinal direction the player goes through determines which region they travel to. Northern Sea - North Pole, Eastern Waters, Central Waters, Western Waters Eastern Sea - North Pole, Eastern Waters, Africa, Central Waters Southern Sea - Central Waters, Africa, Antarctica, South America Western Sea - North Pole, Central Waters, South America, Western Waters Industrial Wonder Content The industrial path of Wonders is slowly making its way into the Atlas. Transient and Static nodes for this path can be found and harvested exclusively within the Uncharted Sea region. Industrial Wonder: Power Nodes Transient Node - Geothermal Vents This transient node is similar to the Army of the Damned ones in that they have a time limit of one week before they deplete, despawn, and respawn at a different location, but they spawn more inland. Players will need to craft the new Ore Miner structure in order to harvest the resource of these nodes. These transient nodes produce a new resource type of coal: Brimstone Static Nodes There are two variants of Industrial static nodes - Lava vents and Sulfur pits. There is no need to create a harvesting structure for either as Pathfinders who’ve traveled here have built them already, but they seem to have perished. Lava Vents produce a new metal: Orichalcum. Sulfur Pits produce a new type of coal: Pure Sulfur Both of these resources are needed to craft new Industrial structures and gear now and in the future. Lava static nodes allow players to build the Industrial Smithy. Sulfur pit static nodes will get new crafting recipes in the future! New Craftables Ore Miner - harvests the resources of the industrial transient node only. Unlocked in the Metallurgy skill. New Max Level Cap: 110 New Base Max Level (before discoveries): 77 All skill disciplines have been reworked Removed the song and dance skill discipline Changed firearms discipline to ranged combat Map Changes Atlas has expanded! Visit new areas based on geographical locations Regions Available Rookie Cove - An area for all pathfinders to cruise the seas in peace. A cove for all to gather their bearings and test their newfound abilities until they are comfortable to progress full sail ahead! Central Waters - The largest area in the game and host to a healthy mix of tropical/temperate islands, but also an ancient evil told in Atlantean myths. Can you find all the power stones and defeat the greatest challenge? South America - A region home to tropical/equatorial areas. However, there seems to be faint chanting amongst this region. Will you be able to find the source of this hidden power? Africa - A region home to the hottest desert Islands around. Crocodiles, venomous snakes and lots and lots of sand call this region home. Antarctica - The harshest sub-zero climates, icebergs, penguins, and illusive yeti's populate the islands around here. North Pole - The north pole is similar to Antarctica, but to the north. Same freezing weather but perhaps the treasures here are the defining difference. Atlas Menu Map The Atlas Menu has been modified to fit the new regions available. The following tabs are available for you to look at. Overworld - The first map drafted by early cartographers. A general outline of the world is available. Rookie Cove - The home to the starting, self-titled region Central Ocean - You will find the map to the Central Waters region here Mediterranean Sea - The blazing hot desert islands of Africa region is here Central Maw - Uncharted waters, but rumor has it that the Kraken's lair is here South Atlantic Ocean - Tropical Oasis of the South America Region are found here Arctic Ocean - The extreme colds of the North Pole Region are located here Southern Ocean - The freezing depths of the Antarctica Region are here Portals Atlantean technology has arisen from the dark depths of abysses unknown. With it however, it looks like traveling from region to region has become a whole lot quicker, but perhaps even more dangerous. Pathfinder Portals - The privateers before you have taken it upon themselves to start studying the portals as well as providing safe passage through these portals. Located within Rookie Cove and Central Waters, these portals will transport you between these regions! Perpetual Portals - It seems the Atlanteans created a sort of oceanic highway. A free, reliable way of travel between regions. They have arisen from the depths and are available for all to travel through and explore! Damaged Portals - In the thousands of years Atlanteans have gone missing, not all of the portals have been kept in functional shape or have been left unfinished. These portals need some extra gem power to travel through. Be warned these do not stay open forever! Cost: Magic Marrow: 50 Gold Coin: 250 Central Portal - Seemingly, this seems to be the first type of portal ever created! However, it seems to have been keeping something away rather than allowing others in. Located in the Central Waters Region only, it seems to need power stones to open. Will you be the first to see what's on the other side? Power Node system Transient Nodes Transient Nodes are special locations on islands that allow for unique resource harvesting. They have a time limit of one week before they deplete, despawn, and respawn at a different location. Movement Transient Nodes will move from one location on an island to another within the same server. They can move anywhere on the same island, there are no height restrictions. Resource Current new resource that is able to be gathered is "Cursed Bone Chips". There will be additional resources in later updates. Harvesting structure A new autofarm harvesting structure has been added. The "Grave Digger". It is craftable at the Smithy. Players must first learn the skill Knowledge of the Old Ones, in the Piracy skill tree, to learn how to build this structure. Functionality still works and can be used on Unofficial Servers, a word from our Lead Designer: v401.9 - Disabled Claim Flag height limit on PvE servers (only meant to be active on PvP) v401.5 (Server 401.8) - Islands on the Official Network now have a maximum z-value for how high Claim Flags can be placed, unique to the island. These are based on the highest terrain points, before considering mountains, large rock formations or steep pillars. The in-game HUD will let you know whether your current claim flag is in a valid location. If your claim flag is not in a valid location, when attempting to place a new one you will receive HUD feedback informing you whether a spot is valid or not. Players will have approximately a month (Mid/Late November) to reposition their flag to a new location. We'll provide a more specific date closer to the patch which changes this. When placing the flag at the new spot, it will automatically destroy the old claim flag and transfer the inventory into the new flag. - Unofficials can activate this setting by changing the following config in their game.ini: MaxSettlementFlagZ = 999999 (default, which means FlagZ can be placed at 99999 z height above the per-island specific height). This is an offset value, if you adjust this, it will use the per-island specific max height + the offset. For example, making it 3000 will look for the highest 'legitimate' location on an island, and then add an additional 3000 z to that height to determine the flag's maximum location. The following game.ini config can be used to destroy all invalid claim flags, please be advised that this cannot be reversed once done: bDestroyInvalidSettlementClaimFlags=true - Fixed a bug which prevented Unofficial Servers on Xbox from being able to see the map v400.63 (Server Only) - Online Players (no changes towards offline or NPC Crew) can only contest flags (defending or attacking) when in one of the following states: > When a player is grounded (e.g walking on the ground) > When a player is seated (e.g sitting in a chair) > When a player is riding a creature (This means player states such as climbing ladders/picks, gliding, etc will no longer contest flags) - Contesting flags can only happen when a player is above -300 on the z-axis (basically, above the ocean/sea level) - Code change for client compatibility v400.62 - Voice chat fixes - Fixed a bug that prevented you from being able to modify the radius-checks for Yelling, Whispering, and Talking. - Fixed a bug related to locking on v400.61 - Fixed 2 client side crashes that could occur on server-load or transition v400.60 - Fixed description on song "A Mockatoo Once Told Me" - Dynamic nameplate scaling enabled on ships - Fix for NPC crew members occasionally missing the accordion visually in their hands v400.59 - Fixed forge giving graphite instead of base coal - Fixed typo in Pistol Steady Aim skill. - Very tall character's head is no longer cut off in the inventory view - NPC Crew Accordion: npc's can equip accordion and play songs("loaded" on accordion or first in inventory) using multi-use option "Play Song" song is consumed after start, buffs will be applied after first loop of song is completed song will loop until "Stop Song" option is selected from multi-use v400.58 - Fixed a bug which prevented silos from paying/feeding crew on Lawless Servers - Fixed a bug which caused ground clutter to flicker on Xbox v400.57 - Added missing ceiling when building ramshackle sloop with vendor in Freeport - Enabled Revolver reload mini-game - Fix: When you use the map camera while piloting ship, the compass won't hide from the view - Added missing Forest dye craftable to grill - Changed salted fish stack size from 30 to 50 - Moved pipe engram into pipes folder - Applied treasure gold multiplier buff to: floatsam/aodloots/shipwrecks - Lawless regions on officials should no longer show any "island points" on the map. - Beds on cooldown are now visible (it will indicate when a player can spawn on them) v400.56 - Fixed a bug which causes your map to be black with HDR enabled on Xbox v400.54 - Volumetric fog and ground clutter improved and enabled for Xbox One (and Xbox One S) - Fixed a bug where the shift key would stop responding on Xbox - Fixed a bug which would cause the camera to always be selected when pulling out your map with a gamepad - Fixed a bug which causes your map to be black with HDR enabled on Xbox - Enabled multiple client-side options for players to disable HUD/UI clutter - You can now fill water barrels directly from waterspouts - Improved Army of the Damned animation on Xbox One and Xbox One S - Right bumper now cycles between two inventory UIs - R3 now toggles use states (for example light fires) again - Fixed a bug which made navigating between rows in two separate inventories reset location - Fixed a bug where some fantasy creatures weren't tamable on Golden Age servers - Lawless Servers now check for structures (at a small radius) before spawning folliage to prevent trees/rocks/bushes from spawning inside bases. - Fix to destroy sunken ships when last structure is removed - Added HUD callout on handheld map to re-center on players - Fixed a server-side crash for Modded Servers which have modified their loot tables v400.51 - Fixed structure tiling textures. 19. Either that or the in-game distance measurements for map markers active on the sextant are totally wrong. Or the math is totally wrong. From: https://atlas.gamepedia.com/In-game_speed_testing#Ship_Speeds Ship Sails Wind Wt* Dist (m) Secs ㎧ KPH MPH Knots Sextant Off by Galleon 6 Large Heavy / Side 48% 1000 35 29 103 64 56 16.5 kn 70.5% *Wt=Weight percentage of maximum So in the chart the sextant says 16.5+- knots but the time to cover 1 km says otherwise. Here's the math: Distance (m) Time (s) ㎧: KPH: MPH: Knots: 1000 55 =A2/B2 =C2*3.6 =D2*0.621371 =D2*0.539957 So it's converting m/s to KPH at *3.6 per and converting knots from KPH at 0.539957 So where is the error? Place a map marker and activate it on the sextant. Get up to speed. Mark down the current distance from the map marker and start a stopwatch. Go 1000 meters. Stop the stopwatch. Testing my galleon just now it took 42 seconds. During the test the knots display said ~13.5 knots. A 42-second kilometer is 24 m/s. A 42-second kilometer is 86 KPH. 86 KPH is 46 knots. So either the distance display or the speed display are *way* off. Which is it?
  20. (Official PVP) ATLAS is doomed, and this is why. A fantastic game world with superior game mechaniques + graphics but the worst game balance in the world. You trolls dont believe me ? Go out and check how many islands were claimed 2 month ago and how many are claimed today. Then you have your answer. Issue 1 : PVP is pointless ——————————————— Look, what do you need to raid anyone you want ? a) a raft of sloop (luxery) b) a cannon with ammo or some grenades (luxery, you can do well without) c) a grappling hook and a climbing tool Thats it. Stone is ridiculous weak, just a few hits and you are through. Thats it. You can easily place your cannon on a wooden foundation..pew pew game over. You can also drown any ship you want with your 1-cannon sloop. Thats really cancer for your game, as it is impossible to defend your assets with strong defences, only camouflage ninja techniques are working. Issue 2 : New content not wanted by the community but only by the devs. New content only available for big groups of players (Conan Exiles is successful, because everyone can achieve everything solo... if he is good !) ——————————————- a) You bring cats, did anyone ask for cats ? B) You DONT bring new ships, you dont bring new ship equipment and mechanics. IF you bring something new, like the sub, you lock it behind boss mobs only achievable by big groups of players. This is the highway to hell, or in case of ATLAS, the highway to closing of Grapeshot Studios.
  21. OK so I simply cant play with this issue and its been days I cannot interact with anything aswell as there is no tooltips such as tame name, lvl hp etc, no press E to mount, cant open doors or containers at all, I can get on a mount but my toon will sit off somewhere random or stay where it is and the mount will not move or do a thing. my animals are slowly starving to death and timers counting down that I cant get too since I cant use bed to fast travel, I can only stay connected for about 5 mins before battle eye says the game is unresponsive and that is only if it lasts that long before crashing for a diff reason. I ran repir tool many many times with no success so I then tried a full uninstall the re downloaded and installed the game, its exactly the same however, my pc is far beyond recomendations so everything is slowly starving and timing out that isn't where my toon is atm, I am soo frustrated lol any1 know how to resolve this or having the same issue
  22. If you activate a markable position on the sextant, the position that is showed on the hud is the wrong direction sometimes. (long distance) if its on short distance (2grids), in the first seconds the marker seem to have the right position but it will not move after some minutes it will behind you. It doesnt seem to be updated.
  23. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1757680614 The sign is detaching from the buoy. Dunno why.. could be a desync of sorts.. a cosmetic glitch my end.. But it took me a full 5 minutes to work out that something was wrong with this picture.
  24. I setup a 1x1 grid and launched. I am able to see it in server list and attach. Other people on my lan cannot see it. I tried:Forward the ports, which should be unnecessary for local, but maybe that how it's published.Tried 127.0.0.1 on my launch bat and map gridTried my 192 address on my lan on my launch bat and map gridTried my external IP on my launch bat and map gridTurned of Windows firewalls to test I am looking through the unofficial Atlas list, and I see it. Nobody else on my LAN doesThe other day they could all get on. Now only I can. No idea where to go from here. I can see it, nobody else can.
  25. Would you, please, fix handling sails alignment? It shows properly on upper right icon, but 3d drawn at wrong angle, which is really confusing and prevent me from using them. The way Handling Sails are drawn now they would pull ship back or side and never ahead. There are many pictures ans articles explaining how it works and how it should be placed, this is just one of them: http://www.schoolofsailing.net/points-of-sail.html
