  1. 1. Armored docks need to be removed from the game Nope, nope, nope. They are giving us great oportunity for stopping people from harbour runs. They are also easy to destroy, i for example destroyed small and large dock at the same day with 2 ships and 3 ppl so you can't say you need big company to do that in order to get all gold from inside them or take their ship down. 2. puckle npc's need to be vulnerable - Don't agree These are practically basic defense of your base and taking them too easy will cause more fight on the land that we don't want. We want more sea fights. You can use just one cannon to overrange them and take them down easily. 3. Gold cost for self crafted ships needs to be removed - Don't agree Not agree, it is good like it is. It prevents big companies from having hundreds of galleons. Big companies still will have more gold than smaller ones but also they will have more peoples so they will able to handle more ships at once. If you have small company with 6 people you don't need 10 galleons and gold costs will keep you on the sea for treasures, whaling etc. 4. No gun mini game - Don't agree You just like complaining, don't you? 5. HP of shipyards needs to be lowered They are super easy to destroy. Totaly not agree 6. Lighthouses are too cheap So what? Theirs only purpose is to show you the way or warn you if you're getting close to island during fog time. Leave them in peace 7. mortars on ships need to be allowed to counter mortars on land Definitely not. Are you mad? even if you would have them you will never counter mortars on tower 20 walls high. 8. ships should be insta captured if beds are destroyed, and ship is decrewed Here you got point for the first time, but insta captured? Nope, i would rather greatly decreas capturing time from 1-2 days to lets say 5 hours and 12 hours when fully anchored. If you would start claiming ship on the beach and you have 5 h timer and everybody is dead and ship would drop anchor, the timer should automatically increase till 12h so the owner can have time to fight back for it. In open sea you cannot anchor so 5h is enough (it could also be destroyed by SoD or whale) 9. structures must be capturable You just played too much rust my friend. It is not quick pvp, it is open mmo sandbox game, how would you feel going to work and cominb back every day just to see you lost everything you had. They develop similar system to the lawless which is complety absurd to me. I would rather enable to steal teritory which would highly increase decay time for every non company structure like for 4 days and 3 days for doors so you can actually loot it. So people could fight for teritory in order to defence theirs bases. 10. small characters should get a damage penalty, while super large ones get a damage buff Wow, i wouldn't think i ill agree in something with you. Here you are right, something for something. We need to have balanced options not just one sided benefits from choosing one option. 11. cannons need to be pick-up-able and be placable on enemy foundation to raid efficiently Well, they could be picupable but not placable on enemy's foundation, would rather allow to place them directly on the ground close to enemies foundation but also with 10 min timer. 12. fix that bug where after u use praying eyes u cant pull out ur weapons, and increase duration Yes, just report it as a bug and they will work on it. 13 .remove peace/combat phases Again i do not agree with that. We want keep people more on sea for sea fights, we all came here for pirates fights not ark 2.0 didn't we? 14.blueprints need to be removed Blueprints are bit overpowered if it comes to big companies so i can agree with that, add more stuff instead of blueprints and increase base stats of all stuff to be a little bit higher. Unless we can find solution to boost small companies to help them with crafting those blueprints. 15.aging/hair growth is way too fast atm Not agree, just deal with it. Next. 16.remove shaking earth effect caused by animals I guess you never checked your graphic options in menu, did you? 17. no more crew limits on ships Talking about unreality in game, want unlimited crew on ships. Totally not agree. Next. 18. remove all chores like treasure hunting, floatsam etc. from the game That's most pirate thing in game, treasures/floatsam/hunting, leave them alone. They could do special regions on each island for treasures where people can't build structures so everyone can do them. Still need to land on an islands and that's different story You don't like them, you don't have to do them, pick them up. 19. players shouldnt spawn on freeports, and freeport, there shouldnt be a safe zone That's exaclty where players should spawn, there is lot's of newcomers, they have to learn some basics about the game. Instead of that i would highly increase decoy time on every ship (in example, you can stay with any ship maximum 4 hours no matter if you're fixing planks or not, after that time, ship despawn, and of course give a proper info about it to every player) For animals instead allow us dmg them after 1 day of being in freeport. That should resolve problem with storagging all items in safe zones. What about shops? Allow only few per company with limited space in it 20. nerf barrels Maybe a little bit but mostly we need to remove catapults from ships or make the barrels not throwable by catapults on ships. You could still use them by manually throwing them at enemy ship but that applies only in very close distance 21. remove ships of the damned Do not agree, game without them will be super boring. 22. regarding animals I would only increase hp on lions/tigers a bit. Rest is good expect all the saddles that are coming with new patch. Saddles are supper shit and will brake the game especially with torpedoes on the land. Could say, welcome to ARK 2.0, no more pirate game. 23. nerf mace, shield stun, buff crossbow/bow/guns, nerf shield, nerf hook Mace is good, maybe increase bit crossbow dmg, guns are okay, hook is okay. Nerf shield bash cooldown, once someone start bash you, is super hard to run away, instead put ie. 10 sec on bash, same for power strike on pike and fists. 24. Handcuffs need to be removed or there needs to be a solution Tottaly not agree, it is very realistic, that is also one of the most piracy thing in game. Next. 25. Cannon balls fly too slow Yes! This is very annoying. Speed them up 26. after destroying a warehouse you should get all the loot inside, not a fraction You are getting basically all loot from it. You will not even able to carry it at once 27. bar shots need to be removed Nope. Barshots are good, leave them alone. 28. no character upgrades like HP etc. Are you serious? You want no gap and differences between people who spend thousands hours in game on leveling character and people who only started? Bullshit. Get real man 29 .player name join notification needs to be removed I agree on that 30. customizable zoom for ships needs to be added I agree on that 31. remove customizable ships I do not agree, mmo sandbox is all about customizable stuff. Would rather say work on performance but they're already doing it 32. increase ship weight capacity Not really capacity but increase amount on which weight penalty is applied from 30% to 50% 33. remove limits for alliances and company size No, no, no and again no. We don't want any supremacies in game that will make pvp into pve if you're with them or totaly anihilation if you're against. 34. handling sails get greatly outperformed by speed sails They are not. All of them have different purposes and they are doing good. I only wonder about weight sails, nobody is using them, they need to be reworked 35. wood/stone pillars's HP needs to be reduced Pillars spam is pain in arse. Enemy should not be able to build anything on your island expect cannons (placed on the ground) so pillars spam will not exist anymore and thanks to that performance of game will also increase. 36. remove ownership ???? In company setting you have option like "personal owner", that means that everything you build/own (ships,animals) is personal and if you leave company everything will leave with you (structures/ships/animals), you need to have proper settings set in your company dude 37. remove custom building Custom building is good, it gives you more posibilites but yes i would prefer ready structures. On one hand, performance is greater but on the other hand it's kinda boring because everything looks same (expect colors if you're able to paint stuff) and technically you know base of every single company. So i would rather put them togeather 38. allow saving ships (save + load) Yes! Allowing to save your ship projects would be very handy 39. Reduce a companies income based on their member number, increase crew cost for bigger clans Why would they punish people in bigger companies for playing togeather and having fun? Nobody want split players, it is rather a goal to get great communieties than lonely wolves. They can work on boosting small companies not punishing bigger.
  2. I've bought the Majestic Kraken to test it out. Basically i thought i would never do this but i got lucky in some points. 1. I got a market and warehouse so i tested trading in general and earned about 200k gold now.(My main reason to reinstall the game) 2. I used my only Brig to do all Power Stones Solo and defeated the Kraken.(Never done this solo before) 3. I used the submarine to discover the Depths and get the first Essence of Power. While doing so i killed 7 Squids and got 60 squid legs as well as i used the squid meat and tamed 3 crabs Lvl 28 that passed my way. 4. After testing the Dolphin taming with the shark terminator(submarine) supporting me i thought about what to do now(Solo on PVE) 5. I remembered that i have 60 dried squid legs that i could use to make some testing of the Majestic Kraken pre build ship so i went to freeport to buy it. costs: 22000 gold and 50 dried squid legs The ship itself: You get a ship with 200% quality from Vendor which means you can level up to Level 60. The ship starts with 2000/9000 weight and two large Speed sails. This is enough to reach about 16 knots speed with strong wind(no storm) So the Kraken is about 4-5knots slower than a empty Brig. All shipparts show weight 1kg... no matter if it's the gunport, or the castle or the deck... that's quite weird. But you have 12 cannons on each broadside in two layers of each 6 which makes a total of 24 small cannons. The ship starts with 22 Crew capacity. Each cannons weight is 40kg when gun ports are closed so this makes about half the weight of the standard ship - 960kg. The masts weight is 100kg. I also tested 3x small handling sails with each 1,7 sails points(max 6 points) but that got very slow about 11 knots. You can't place 2x small and 1x large as this would be 6,1/6,0 points. So i ended up with my favorite 2x large handling sails which speed is than about 13-14 knots. Light brigs are about 2 knots faster. The ship has the same length like a Brig but is much higher and has less width. You can't customize the ship so you basically need a storage for some repairs and a bed to respawn. You can place a ship storage box for crew gold. NPCs can repair the anchored ship without the need of repair kits or repair resources. You do not need any spare planks as you can't replace the ship parts so far. The ship has only a few parts that can take damage... some ship parts do not have any health. I guess some parts just do not take any damage like the decks. The masts are only placed on the upper deck. On the cannon decks there is no Mast because you could not move between the cannons(closed gun ports) and Mast like on a Shooner. You have 12 gun ports which each consists of two cannon ports. You can't remove cannons and you can't replace them. Each gun port has 7500 HP which is more than a Brig but a Brig has 2x 6000 HP instead. Also Brig Gun Ports crafted can have about 15000 HP on official servers. You can't repair this gun ports from the deck... so you have to go on each cannon deck to repair them. For Solo Player this is a massive Pain! Also to repair you need a Repair kit -> in your inventory!!!111. So if you have a repair kit and a repair hammer you can hit the gun port and repair it for a fix ammount of 1000 HP each repair kit. But the repair will take 3 seconds and you can#t do anything else during this time... if you go away from the part you are repairing the repair will not finish. So to repair one part that got 5000HP damage you need to stay there for 15 seconds... But at least each 1k repair is instand healed once you finish waiting 3 seconds. I don't like this system... in 15 seconds you could hit like 10 planks of a brig that repair automaticaly up to full life! To repair this ship system is zero fun! and you have to do it after every combat with a SoTD. Also not to mention the costs of the repair kits. It's 100 fibre - 200 wood and 120 thatch -> for repairing 1000 HP of one ship part. A common complete medium plank cost 400 fibre - wood - thatch which is rughly 2x the ammount of wood of the patch kit. So if you want to go fighting some SotD you may take 100 patch kits with you that stack up to 10 and each weight is 3,5kg made with 56kg resouces. So this is a hugh weight reduction or the patch kit crafting resource amount is totaly broken. For a kraken fight solo with my brig i needed 1000 wood to repair the ship over 45 minutes = 5 patch kits = 5000 HP ????????????????????? So if i take 100 patch kits with me it's 20000 wood !!!! THat's enough to craft 1,5x the planks for a shooner. Also the ship consists of a front castle castle with 15000 HP that you only can repair from the top deck. In the mid deck there is a front part that does not show any HP as well in the bottom deck where there is also a front bottom part with no HP shown. So damage will may only be received by the front castle. In the rear you have also 3 parts. The big rear castle on the top deck with 15000 HP including the railings and the deck stairs. The mid rear part with 10000HP including the first stair case. And the bottom rear part with again no HP including the bottom deck stair case. Front as well as rear castle is only 1 part so you do not have left or right ship side on this parts. So far i tested it the ship has a health indication. If parts get damaged you can see this as a 100% or less value in your bottom right screen. THe parts show holes and look damaged but there is no water entering the ship. So you can't use a bucket to keep the ship alive and this health % is not the standard ship health value. If you have two much crew on board the standard health value moves down like the old ships... but again no water and no bucket... so you better not exceed the crew limit on this ship. I will test next what happens if a part gets damaged to 0 HP... i guess it can be repaired and does not get destroyed/removed from the ship. If all parts reach 0 HP the ships should be destroyed. So if you have a repairs man that repairs the last surviving ship part every 3 seconds by 1000 HP you may not get sunk. But i also heard about bugs that some ship parts have critical health and once they are 0 the ship will sink. Quality of Life on the ship: The overview with two sails is good. You can't place additional robe ladders so you have only the rear one - that is placed very stupid on the rear and you will drop several times from it's top. Getting up with the hook is difficult if you do not hit the railing from above... to hit the masts is difficult becuase of the height and the railing. You may often drop from the railing while climbing the ship. The Stair case is very bad and even with my PvP size character(very small) i have to crouch at some points. You do not have much space for beds and boxes... not to mention food storage(for the crew) and you do not have space to place a workbench or simmilar things. The ship is only constructed for minimalized PvP equipment. You can not place diving attachment, dingy dock or cargo rack. You can not place cover above/around the steering wheel. Ship optics: I like the basic appearance of the ship... but the kraken design is ugly. The front kraken has collision with harbor structures and ships unlike the figure heads optical parts on old ships. This ship could have a place between the Brig and the Galleon but also between the Brig and the Shooner... because... length = Brig... width = Shooner ... cannons double of a Brig... handling like a Galleon... weight between Shooner and Brig... you get the point this ship has no place where it can shine... it feels like a worse part of all ships. Only 2 large Sails so larger than Shooner but smaller than Brig. My first impression after killing some SotD green and yellow up to Galleon: The ship turns much slower than a Brig and feels much more like steering a Galleon. I guess this is intended due to the height of the ship and it's small width. While you are turning the ship at high speed it does not roll to the outer side so you can't increase your small cannons range by this move. I tried to zick zack before a yellow SotD Galleon to shot it with both broadside but i got everytime into it's range and took damage. So I guess for kiting SotDs without taking damage the ship has too less maneuverabilty and is too slow even with Handling Sails(I use blue 110+110%). When i put Crew on all cannons(24 x 40kg + 2x sails) and take 100 patch kits with me(350kg) + right now 830 cannon balls (17xxkg) i have a ship weight of 5300kg andwith open gun ports 6800kg(max 9000). So far i think i will have to skill full 300% resistance to make this ship work and also add some levels to weight.(increasing only by 200 each point) So the damage of the ship will be low... repairing a pain... skilled fully on resistance to have less repair.... speed is lower than a Brig... you can't remove weight besides less ammunition. I guess it's impossible to do Kraken fight with this ship... if it survives Golden Age farming and gets up to Level 50 i may try this one... PVE: There is no reason to play this ship. No weight. high costs. Huge maintanace effort. No customization(besides Sails like all ships) You can't make a whale hunter out of it. There is no reason to transport tames with it. PvP: No reason to play it as well. Repairing is a pain. Speed is only a little competitive with Speed Sails(vs Handling Sails) and only use would be to use bar shots with 12 cannons broadside if you can get a decent angle on the enemy which is unlikely.(bar shots have less weight than common balls). What should be changed to make this ship competitive for PvP at least? The ships strength could be to be a fast frigatte type ship between Galleon and Brig. It has a very long shape but a small width so it's terrible to turn as it could simply roll to the side. But it should be faster than a Brig. So you would have a fast ship that can use the wind to get in a position where it can work with it's broadside mainly to cut sails with the 12 cannons shot. Currently Brigs are often build with only 4-5 cannons on the boradside to reduce weight... some may only use 3 cannons to be fast enough to win the speed race. So the Majestic Kraken would be only that fast mainly using Speed Sails as Handling Sails have no real influence on the turning speed. This would be a very special propose of the ship but enemys with handling sails could escape pretty easy by just turning their ship fast in another direction. The 24 cannons currently have no purpose to be used by PvP Players. The health system and repairing of the ship should be adjusted. Currently it has low HP compared to a brig and even a BP crafted Shooner. The repairing should be one hit consuming an amount of patch kits or resouces like old system and increasing the heath over time. To have a player look 15-20 seconds on a ship part to repair it if it's high damaged is pretty stupid. The auto repair on current ships is working well and consuming a decent ammount of resources. To heal fix HP with the patch kits feels pretty worse. The repair costs/crafting patch kits have to be reduced !! 26 crew on board will never be the case on a PvP ship... their weight is to high even you make them nakked. If PvP Players could they would remove cannons from this ship to safe weight! This ship testing is a very sad feeling. If all new ships get this system the fun on the seas is pretty much over. Even if you can place some modular pieces in the future i don't like this ship at all. My Brig behind can be a multi purpose ship. I can go farming and add 2 cargos without getting supper slow. I have the submarine attached and also a diving attachment. I have cannons below the Deck to fight the Kraken as well rear cannons to fight easy SoTD. I could place Balistas to hunt whales. I have a work bench and tannery on board so i can craft or tame if i see a target on my way. Yes that's all for PVE content but i fought lots of PvP battles in Season 3 and ship combat did not change besides the current use of rear catapults for barrels.(no fun) I could turn this Brig in the background into PvP playstile in less than 10 minutes reducing the weight to easy 3500kg.
  3. Guys help me out here I am wandering about looking like a crumpled prune. What have they done with the fountain of youth. I have visited and been massacred in three zones looking for the classic old cave of doom and its circle of power thing. Found nothing but hundreds of indestructible supper high level mobs, Army of the damned and strange huge ogre looking beasts with clubs. I have a feeling the 'You must group for everything' club has came out again and I am about fucking finished with that shit.
  4. I used to double-box (run 2 accounts simultaneously) my observations were this.. Character in crows nest sees tall things first, such as SotD. He was in front crows nest so he actually crossed grids first also by ~1 full second. Character at wheel actually spotted low stuff first such as flotsams, sunken treasures and whales. Doesn't make sense but that was confirmed consistently for months. When it was supper foggy i lowered sails, watched the crows nest view primarily, and if an attack came i quickly raised my sails (all handling sails) adjusted to get a tailwind no matter where fire was coming from, accelerated away & then verified i wasnt going to hit land. As PP stated knowing border location can help cheese it also, i did plenty of times
  5. Well bad news is the wipe, I guess I got my money's worth from this title in 600 hours. Good news, The Division 2 will be out soon and I'll be smart enough to never waste a dime on another title from this company. For PVP a wipe kinda makes sense. For PVE they ar not doing anything to warrant a wipe. The new system theoretically would sort everything out. But what will end up happening is once again giving the big groups the advantage. I say this because they will be the ones with the manpower to lvl up the fasted, to gather enough resources to wall off entire islands of their choosing and maintain those structures. Small companies like the one I'm in will suffer the grind more, and the continuation of existing bugs trying to reestablish. Also, they are doing one other thing that makes it harder on all. From what I see it's about a fifty fifty split on player base wanting a wipe. So while some friends/company mates are ok with it, other will leave, and friends will follow. Because no matter how good a game may be, and this isn't, yet, playing a shit game with Friends still trumps. And then the added insult of new end game content is a real rub. Thanks for waiting an extra month on the content we hyped up, btw way, you get to wait another month aft r we release it to actually get to enjoy it. So congrats grapefuck, your PVP buddies are supper stoked I'm sure. But that's who you've always catered to any way. You're just hoping to sell some shit show PVE experience to help pay for your buddies PVP experience.
  6. Horse disappears and reappears without a saddle than saddle appears. When riding, various things happen, flying up out of the map, bad rubberbanding mostly back to original start position. Bears were ridden and no effects are an issue with the bears other than no supper bowl.
  7. Bucket, I’m not sure what happened there, I know steam was having issues that same day. Atlas I believe made a tweet about it saying steam needed to work the issue out on their end. I never had any issues myself and played all day and most of the night Saturday, so it could have been that I was already in the game when the issue happened. I’m not sure but the update worked fine for me and some others that were in game, the only reason I knew there was a issue was I happened to look at Twitter during supper. We're investigating at the moment, so far it doesn't seem to be something on our end. It may be related to downtime Steam is having, downdetector.com/status/steam. Other hosts have contacted us and indicated that they're having some problems, but we're going to keep investigating. this is one thread from Twitter
  8. Ya, the game at this point has so many issues it is very hard to have fun, just when you think you have accomplished something great it is gone. Parked my sloop near shore, anchored an taking no damage, ate supper to log back in and find my ship no longer resisters in my atlas. I was camped at our base so I know I did't aggro anything, my best guess is hostile natives sunk it to loot my storage boxes and just be a holes. Parts of this game I really like and parts of it I hate, not sure how much longer I ill play. It almost seems like they are trying to drive people to quit because they have an over crowed game, with no land for most with too many people fighting over too little everything.
