It is a 5 length ship built in the Advanced Shipyard once players have found blueprints for it. Blueprints can be found in shipwrecks. Unlocked in the Advanced Shipwright Skill It comes with 6 tame railings that can store 5 tames each (30 Total). Resources for a base version: Wood - 2500 Thatch - 2000 Fibers - 2000 Metal - 20 New Modular Ship UI We’ve added a popularly voted on request to the game in the form of additional UI for captains to know where leaks and damage is on their modular ships. There are 3 stages for durability: Green - Durability is good Yellow - Durability is moderate Red - Durability is poor If the portion of the ship is flashing, it means this area has a leak. We will look to make this UI element colorblind friendly in the future. Map Menu UI Visual Revamp The Atlas tab map UI has been revamped visually for an easier navigation of the regions. Instead of having dropdown tabs of the regions on the left, all regions available will be shown on one Overworld map. Players will be able to click and see all regions available on the overworld map. To get to the Overworld map click on the icon of the globe in the top left of your map screen. The region the player is currently in on the Overworld map is highlighted in green. Open Water Servers There is a new way to traverse through the atlas’ regions besides portals. There are now intermediate open water servers that connect regions to one another. There are no islands to be found here, just open seas and the treasure and dangers that come along with it. They are known as open waters and there are four of them within the world. They are connected through all sides of the Central Waters region. Depending on which cardinal direction the player goes through determines which region they travel to. Northern Sea - North Pole, Eastern Waters, Central Waters, Western Waters Eastern Sea - North Pole, Eastern Waters, Africa, Central Waters Southern Sea - Central Waters, Africa, Antarctica, South America Western Sea - North Pole, Central Waters, South America, Western Waters Industrial Wonder Content The industrial path of Wonders is slowly making its way into the Atlas. Transient and Static nodes for this path can be found and harvested exclusively within the Uncharted Sea region. Industrial Wonder: Power Nodes Transient Node - Geothermal Vents This transient node is similar to the Army of the Damned ones in that they have a time limit of one week before they deplete, despawn, and respawn at a different location, but they spawn more inland. Players will need to craft the new Ore Miner structure in order to harvest the resource of these nodes. These transient nodes produce a new resource type of coal: Brimstone Static Nodes There are two variants of Industrial static nodes - Lava vents and Sulfur pits. There is no need to create a harvesting structure for either as Pathfinders who’ve traveled here have built them already, but they seem to have perished. Lava Vents produce a new metal: Orichalcum. Sulfur Pits produce a new type of coal: Pure Sulfur Both of these resources are needed to craft new Industrial structures and gear now and in the future. Lava static nodes allow players to build the Industrial Smithy. Sulfur pit static nodes will get new crafting recipes in the future! New Craftables Ore Miner - harvests the resources of the industrial transient node only. Unlocked in the Metallurgy skill. Crafted in the smithy Resources Wood - 125 Thatch - 400 Fibers - 320 Metal - 360 Hide - 100 Stone - 1200 Industrial Smithy - The structure allows players to build Industrial Wonder specific content. Some of the pirate edwin introductory lines have been removed to improve clarity while starting the game. Skill tree We would like players to have to diversify their crew member's skills to have a well maintained and working company. We have reworked the skill tree where you can unlock every skill discipline from the survival tree. Think about the skills you want to have as pathfinders will no longer be able to unlock every skill. New Max Level Cap: 110 New Base Max Level (before discoveries): 77 All skill disciplines have been reworked Removed the song and dance skill discipline Changed firearms discipline to ranged combat Map Changes Atlas has expanded! Visit new areas based on geographical locations Regions Available Rookie Cove - An area for all pathfinders to cruise the seas in peace. A cove for all to gather their bearings and test their newfound abilities until they are comfortable to progress full sail ahead! Central Waters - The largest area in the game and host to a healthy mix of tropical/temperate islands, but also an ancient evil told in Atlantean myths. Can you find all the power stones and defeat the greatest challenge? South America - A region home to tropical/equatorial areas. However, there seems to be faint chanting amongst this region. Will you be able to find the source of this hidden power? Africa - A region home to the hottest desert Islands around. Crocodiles, venomous snakes and lots and lots of sand call this region home. Antarctica - The harshest sub-zero climates, icebergs, penguins, and illusive yeti's populate the islands around here. North Pole - The north pole is similar to Antarctica, but to the north. Same freezing weather but perhaps the treasures here are the defining difference. Atlas Menu Map The Atlas Menu has been modified to fit the new regions available. The following tabs are available for you to look at. Overworld - The first map drafted by early cartographers. A general outline of the world is available. Rookie Cove - The home to the starting, self-titled region Central Ocean - You will find the map to the Central Waters region here Mediterranean Sea - The blazing hot desert islands of Africa region is here Central Maw - Uncharted waters, but rumor has it that the Kraken's lair is here South Atlantic Ocean - Tropical Oasis of the South America Region are found here Arctic Ocean - The extreme colds of the North Pole Region are located here Southern Ocean - The freezing depths of the Antarctica Region are here Portals Atlantean technology has arisen from the dark depths of abysses unknown. With it however, it looks like traveling from region to region has become a whole lot quicker, but perhaps even more dangerous. Pathfinder Portals - The privateers before you have taken it upon themselves to start studying the portals as well as providing safe passage through these portals. Located within Rookie Cove and Central Waters, these portals will transport you between these regions! Perpetual Portals - It seems the Atlanteans created a sort of oceanic highway. A free, reliable way of travel between regions. They have arisen from the depths and are available for all to travel through and explore! Damaged Portals - In the thousands of years Atlanteans have gone missing, not all of the portals have been kept in functional shape or have been left unfinished. These portals need some extra gem power to travel through. Be warned these do not stay open forever! Cost: Magic Marrow: 50 Gold Coin: 250 Central Portal - Seemingly, this seems to be the first type of portal ever created! However, it seems to have been keeping something away rather than allowing others in. Located in the Central Waters Region only, it seems to need power stones to open. Will you be the first to see what's on the other side? Power Node system Transient Nodes Transient Nodes are special locations on islands that allow for unique resource harvesting. Functionality still works and can be used on Unofficial Servers, a word from our Lead Designer: v401.9 - Disabled Claim Flag height limit on PvE servers (only meant to be active on PvP) v401.5 (Server 401.8) - Islands on the Official Network now have a maximum z-value for how high Claim Flags can be placed, unique to the island. These are based on the highest terrain points, before considering mountains, large rock formations or steep pillars. The in-game HUD will let you know whether your current claim flag is in a valid location. If your claim flag is not in a valid location, when attempting to place a new one you will receive HUD feedback informing you whether a spot is valid or not. Players will have approximately a month (Mid/Late November) to reposition their flag to a new location. We'll provide a more specific date closer to the patch which changes this. When placing the flag at the new spot, it will automatically destroy the old claim flag and transfer the inventory into the new flag. - Unofficials can activate this setting by changing the following config in their game.ini: MaxSettlementFlagZ = 999999 (default, which means FlagZ can be placed at 99999 z height above the per-island specific height). This is an offset value, if you adjust this, it will use the per-island specific max height + the offset. For example, making it 3000 will look for the highest 'legitimate' location on an island, and then add an additional 3000 z to that height to determine the flag's maximum location. The following game.ini config can be used to destroy all invalid claim flags, please be advised that this cannot be reversed once done: bDestroyInvalidSettlementClaimFlags=true - Fixed a bug which prevented Unofficial Servers on Xbox from being able to see the map v400.63 (Server Only) - Online Players (no changes towards offline or NPC Crew) can only contest flags (defending or attacking) when in one of the following states: > When a player is grounded (e.g walking on the ground) > When a player is seated (e.g sitting in a chair) > When a player is riding a creature (This means player states such as climbing ladders/picks, gliding, etc will no longer contest flags) - Contesting flags can only happen when a player is above -300 on the z-axis (basically, above the ocean/sea level) - Code change for client compatibility v400.62 - Voice chat fixes - Fixed a bug that prevented you from being able to modify the radius-checks for Yelling, Whispering, and Talking. - Fixed a bug related to locking on v400.61 - Fixed 2 client side crashes that could occur on server-load or transition v400.60 - Fixed description on song "A Mockatoo Once Told Me" - Dynamic nameplate scaling enabled on ships - Fix for NPC crew members occasionally missing the accordion visually in their hands v400.59 - Fixed forge giving graphite instead of base coal - Fixed typo in Pistol Steady Aim skill. - Very tall character's head is no longer cut off in the inventory view - NPC Crew Accordion: npc's can equip accordion and play songs("loaded" on accordion or first in inventory) using multi-use option "Play Song" song is consumed after start, buffs will be applied after first loop of song is completed song will loop until "Stop Song" option is selected from multi-use v400.58 - Fixed a bug which prevented silos from paying/feeding crew on Lawless Servers - Fixed a bug which caused ground clutter to flicker on Xbox v400.57 - Added missing ceiling when building ramshackle sloop with vendor in Freeport - Enabled Revolver reload mini-game - Fix: When you use the map camera while piloting ship, the compass won't hide from the view - Added missing Forest dye craftable to grill - Changed salted fish stack size from 30 to 50 - Moved pipe engram into pipes folder - Applied treasure gold multiplier buff to: floatsam/aodloots/shipwrecks - Lawless regions on officials should no longer show any "island points" on the map. - Beds on cooldown are now visible (it will indicate when a player can spawn on them) v400.56 - Fixed a bug which causes your map to be black with HDR enabled on Xbox v400.54 - Volumetric fog and ground clutter improved and enabled for Xbox One (and Xbox One S) - Fixed a bug where the shift key would stop responding on Xbox - Fixed a bug which would cause the camera to always be selected when pulling out your map with a gamepad - Fixed a bug which causes your map to be black with HDR enabled on Xbox - Enabled multiple client-side options for players to disable HUD/UI clutter - You can now fill water barrels directly from waterspouts - Improved Army of the Damned animation on Xbox One and Xbox One S - Right bumper now cycles between two inventory UIs - R3 now toggles use states (for example light fires) again - Fixed a bug which made navigating between rows in two separate inventories reset location - Fixed a bug where some fantasy creatures weren't tamable on Golden Age servers - Lawless Servers now check for structures (at a small radius) before spawning folliage to prevent trees/rocks/bushes from spawning inside bases. - Fix to destroy sunken ships when last structure is removed - Added HUD callout on handheld map to re-center on players - Fixed a server-side crash for Modded Servers which have modified their loot tables v400.51 - Fixed structure tiling textures. Notes on the harpoon change: we feel that harpoons have become too strong in the meta to the point where they dominate ship PvP. 3. I've got servers that are refusing to start up properly. Just go to ShooterEntry. This only seems to occur if the ServerX=0?ServerY=0 arguments are present in the command line. If I remove them, they start up to the correct map. One of these servers is running Blackwood, so they don't actually need the commands, however the large cluster of servers clearly does. This issue has only started occuring since the most recent update. Does anyone know of a fix?
  4. Linux servers are now officially supported. Please post here if its working, or if any issues occur. Thank you, Rob

    Patch Notes

released patch notes v24.4 - Reverted optimization to how Seating Structures are replicated, caused some issues. v24.3 - Fixed invisible tamed creature case, and optimized some networking related to creatures on ships. - Optimized how ladders network their extended/retracted states. - Attempted an optimization to how Seating Structures are replicated (Steering Wheels etc) v24 - Further fix for case where steering wheel usage became desynchronized. v23 - Major client and server optimization for ships - Fixed remaining case of Client Disconnections (Not necessary to adjust Client Bandwidth, this was related to something else. We recommend all players try to use EPIC Bandwidth!) - Various new server performance optimizations - Sail Canvas is now unaffected by Repair Hammer - AoD soldiers now take significantly less damage from bullets. v22.21 Fixed a bug where tamed creatures, boats, and NPC Crew stats didn't replicate properly. v22.1 - Fixed a case where players would disconnect on certain servers when loading into large bases. We advise setting your "Client Network Bandwidth" Option value back to Epic if you had previously changed it, to deal with the disconnections. - Fixed a case which would cause creatures to flash or flicker. - Fixed a case where players on saddled creatures would teleport back to the server's origin if the creature they were mounted on had been killed by another creature. - Sail canvas now takes twice as long to repair. Repair hammer can no longer be used to repair a canvas. A canvas must be repaired using the pinwheel option on the mast, which can be accessed by holding down E. - Target Soft Spots will no longer add torpor to other player teams in PvE. - Camera no longer interpolates to origin when destroyed. - Glider will no longer activate when encumbered. - Buoy signs remain attached after server restart (retroactive). - Server and client performance optimizations. - Fixed an exploit which allowed players to stall and potentially disconnect other clients. - No longer able to turn off cannons that do not belong to your team. v21.43 - Fixed some server side crashes and added additional server performance optimizations for NPC Crew v21.1 (client) - Fixed choppy claim flag physics 21.42 - Further optimizations to NPC crew 21.41 - Optimized replication and ticking of NPC crew on turrets, for significantly improved server performance. v21.31 - Improved Structure replication rate from servers, though this may increase client stalls slightly. Clients can reduce their "Client Network Bandwidth" Option value if they are experiencing too many stalls with this change (we do recommend the default, 60 KB/s). v21 - Optimized how items are networked resulting in significantly higher performance and less bandwidth usage - Added the Hook Hand and the Peg Leg to the Freeport cosmetic vendor v20.1 With our planned changes for March, the game will be heading into a more rule based system, so for the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes to experience what it would be like if we took an alternative route. We’ll be releasing an update tomorrow which includes the following changes: - 6x Rates - Harvesting, Taming, Experience, Gold, Farming, and Breeding. - Claim flags will no longer prevent enemy building. You can now build anywhere, and only structure build radius will prevent it. This does not apply to cannons and mortars, which will still require a claim flag. This is a non-default, which will be enabled on our PvP Networks. Unofficials can also use this as a custom server-side config. - All servers, other than Golden Age Ruin servers, can be set to home servers, allowing players to respawn at them. (PvP only) Game.ini: [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] bDontRequireClaimFlagsForBuilding=1 bIsLawlessHomeServer=1 bForceRequireClaimFlagsForBuildingCannons=true This is what we’re enabling on all our non-Golden Age ruin servers, but please note that you must also flag the corresponding grids as homeservers on the servergrid.json This patch will also include: - Whispering voice hotkey [* [numpad] key] - Server side config that allows you to alter the distance for the 3 voice modes: Whispering, Normal, and Yelling. Game.ini: [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] ProximityRadius = 8500 YellingRadius = 22000 WhisperRadius = 2000 - Removing the Destruction Mesh on Lighthouses - Increased the limit of folders in inventories from 20 to 40, and 80 in Bookshelves - Treasure Map names now includes the grid for easy filtering - Explosive Barrels can no longer be used as an ammo type for cannons. Any loaded ones will just fire regular cannons. They'll be receiving a large redesign in the major update coming in March. - Fixed chat scrolling, so it now works again with Page Up and Page Down - Fixed an edge case where voice chat would stop working unless the client relogged These changes will allow us to see how the game would pan out if we didn’t have the claim system affect build rules, which helps us collect more feedback on playstyles. v19.62 - New style Claim Flag with improved flag physics - Improved mini map X icon for visibility - Added chat tabs - Reorganized claim flag notifications (requires updated server) v19.52 - Fixed multiple cases where inpulses would be stacked causing players or creatures to be launched into the distance. v19.51 - Disabled the use of some client side console commands which could be used to gain an unfair advantage in PvP v19.5 - Army of the Damned Soldiers and Crew melee attacks now properly hit. - Fixed an issue with servers that could have stalled them out for significant periods of time (5+ seconds) - Improved general server performance v19.4 - Further optimized server performance - Fixed issue where Buffs were not being added (drinks and such) if you were on a seating structure, or if you were encumbered. v19.3 - Significantly improved server performance when unstasising structures (50%+). - Fixed the bug where picking up stat'ed Structures would eliminate quantity of existing structures in your inventory. - Fixed a case where server-side Spoiling Times were incorrect on preserving bins. - Whale corpses now last 30 minutes - Giraffe harvesting now yields 6x thatch v19.21 - Doubled maximum server physx substeps to maintain more consistent ship movement at low server framerates. v19.2 - 2x Harvesting, XP, Taming and Gold enabled on the Official Network until Monday 25th. - Bookshelf added to organize your maps, blueprints, notes, and songs. You can learn it from the Esotery of Building skill. - Signs/Canvases can now be placed on storage boxes and bookshelves to help indicate what they're used for. - Note added to the game to leave each other messages. You can learn it from the Secrets of Building skill. - Company UI now displays last online time for members - Significant server optimizations (company network data is now replicated more efficiently to clients) - Maximum ship level is now 52. v18.97 - Fixed Melee damage application to Army of the Damned - Fixed NPC crew disappearing for a fraction of a second when mounting on cannons - Prevented climbing of the Kraken barrier wall - Improved Cyclops movement to allow it to clamber over rocks better v18.95 - Optimized server spatial octree, which should result in better server performance and reduced stalls. v18.94 - Fixed an issue with NPC's not interacting when stationed. v18.92 - Canvases are now free-paintable - Improved the appearance of storm cyclones vfx v18.9 - Fixed an issue with babies not eating from inventory/troughs when in stasis. - Fixed a bug with Alpha creatures. v18.89 - Fixed an issue with the unstasis/render distance on ships - Optimized performance of various server subsystems. v18.87 - Optimized performance of various server subsystems. v18.84 Weight - Gold coins have had their weight reduced by 50% - The weight of all items have been reduced by 30% globally (does not apply to structures that are placed on boats, only items in inventories) - Weight Sails now provide 20% more bonus weight. - Diving Suit now provides a buff which gives players a 50% extra base weight when diving underwater - Water Barrel now has a base weight of 75. It can hold 6000 water (previously was 500). For every 1000 water, it will add 20 weight. This means the lightest it will be is 75, and the maximum weight will be 195. - Players now start the game with 30% more personal weight and will gain an additional 40% per level (so base weight has increased from 250 -> 325 and bonus per level is up from 10 to 14) - Tamed creatures now gain an additional 6% weight per level into weight rather than 4% Creatures & Tames - Elephants and Rhinos now provide a 25% weight reduction to their specialised resources - Giraffe now receives an approximate 2x bonus when harvesting thatch and has a 25% weight reduction when carrying thatch - Elephant base stamina increased to 390 - Rhino base stamina increased to 190 - Giraffe base stamina increased to 440 - Baby creatures will no longer take into account the temperature alterations from coldfront and heatwave - Tamed creature resistance has been increased by 30% and damage increased by 20% - Bear health has been reduced by 10% - NPC Crew can now be renamed - NPC Crew can no longer be placed on Bear and Horse Carts - Company Tame Limits have been doubled - The interval between paying crew gold has been increased by 40% (there is now more time before you have to pay them again) - Ship of the Damned will no longer physically damage a team's structures and anchored boats unless they have been specifically damaged by that target. Going forward, the flat stat increase will be made obsolete and items will no longer be generated with it. Quality stated items will now only generate with the multiplicative stat bonus, and this change will be retroactive. - Fixed a bug where items would falsely state that they were providing a speed benefit (did not do anything). They should not generate anymore going forward. - Mortars will no longer be able to shoot at players outside of render distance v18.76 - Fixed a bug where fire AoE would not attach properly to moving boats. v18.74 - Potential fix for some frequent server side crashes. We'll be monitoring with this build v18.73 - Explosive Barrels will be undergoing some changes with this patch, please note that they're still in the process of receiving their redesign, but this puts them close to it: Limited to 1 carryable stack per person. Stack size will remain at 10 You will not be able to store them in creature inventories, however, legacy ones will remain there. They will be able to be placed near enemy structures and water without needing a claim flag, but not on boats itself. Please note that exclusion/inclusion lists are not saved when altering building permissions, so switching from 'Everyone' can build to 'Company & Alliances' only will clear your list should you wish to return to 'Everyone' can build. - All claim flags will use the 'Everyone can build' as a default setting when placed, and this will also be a retroactive change. 6. 1 The announcement on the official xbox club was in February and labeled the 26th not the 24Th. Which should matter 2 a brand new xbox is not an old xbox the top of the line xbox is not a weak xbox. The game is sold on Xbox therefore it should run on xbox. They took my money and according to most posts on this forum i was lied to. The game doesn't play on xbox. So are you telling me fraud has occurred? Why was a post put on the official xbox page for Atlas claiming an update would occur "on the 26th", if no update ever took place
  7. So fairly new player of a couple of weeks. In with one other person who plays older Xbox. If one of us is booted, than the other player is booted shortly after. Taken all the way back to Xbox home screen. When logging back into PVE, loading errors occur as " Player already connected in game"- Time out connection with Host- etc. I love this game, but this is becoming frustrating to the point I am afraid to take my ships out etc for fear I'' get booted and then blown up or sunk.... Any helpful info ??
  8. I would like to ask to developers would be possible a date in the week to occur all new updates . Many players have already lost their boats because we currently do not have a fixed time or day in the week for these changes to occur. It would be great if all patch notes occur only on a fixed day of the week, so the updates don't take anyone by surprise when playing and traveling with their boats. Knowing that there are fixed days for maintenance we can play without worrying about surprise updates.
  9. Don't completely disagree, there should be periods of slack wind, but no way as near as long as they currently are. There's Heat Waves, Cold Fronts, Fog, Wind/Cyclone Storms, Rain Storms (Blizzards in north/south) and No Wind Storms. Every so often.. there's good wind and clear skies.. It's like the Devs have removed the idea of weather and replaced it with timesinks.. Heat/Cold Waves can kill you, Fog usually a prerequisite to Sotd spawns, Cyclone Storms can sink your ship. Albeit you'd need to get stuck in every cyclone to get that damaged, but it is essentially a resource time sink. And no wind.. is just a timesink. There is fair weather.. but not very often. Storms should be rare.. occur only in specific regions etc Fair weather should be normal and avg condition with moderate winds and rough should be with the waves and high winds.. but should perhaps occur as an imminent warning of more severe storms. Would also be good if storms occurred within areas of a region, ie only over 1 island etc.. which would make for a nice effect and add immersion. But I don't know if the game engine could support that. You cannot "sail" into the wind. Your ship moves extremely slowly against the wind and that is not sailing.. sailing can only occur "with" the wind.

This will destroy your old flag and drop it's entire inventory into a loot cache (2 hour expiration time) on the ground. Next Wednesday, we'll be deploying an update which will force destroy any legacy flags which exceed the height limit. The limit is 4k units above sea level which is approximately 16/17 walls and only admins or above will be able to replace the flag. - New configurable ini setting for Claim Flag height limit [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] MaxSettlementFlagZ=4000 // you can set this number to 999999 to have no height restrictions. v209.1 - Added activate sail turning as a keybind (default: Left Shift) - Crew Members will now take food/gold from the following structures in this priority (it goes to the 2nd/3rd if the first does not have gold). This will be displayed in the top-right hand corner HUD. A single + means ally crew will take gold/food from claim flags. ++ means everyone will take gold/food from the claim flag. A lack of + means that only the settlement owner's crew will be able to take good/food from claim flags. - Magic Mythos is now active for the weekend: 2x bonus rates for Harvesting, Taming, XP and Gold! - Future proofing landscape optimization (large patch) Just some further information on the update size, the reason it is so large is because a technical change went in place to improve the logic surrounding landscapes (not related to single player). Something we plan to improve more on in the future. This optimization will basically allow us to reduce the current install size of the game by, hopefully, ~33%. The way it works in technical terms is that all the landscape variants of the same shape will use one map, with material variants, rather than each having a redundant copy of the large maps themselves. This means we won't have to have all those additional copies, thus reducing the effective size of landscapes (which together comprise over 50% of the game's install size) v207.999 - Crew gold payment and food can now be done via your Company's claim flag. 11. Greetings, With the bonus weekends and holidays that come and go, I had an idea to keep people active with these bonuses without being too overpowered. I'd like to suggest another layer to add to this to keep people interested and to explore islands. Here are my suggestions: 1. ) Add random EXP bonuses that occur perhaps daily or hourly for random zones. Perhaps even in secret, so it requires another player to report the bonus. 2.) Add random resource bonuses that occur perhaps daily or hourly for random zones. This could work the same as the first rule. Could even narrow it down to certain resources. 3.) Do the same for taming as the first two rules. Not sure if this could work, but thought it would be a nice idea if possible and would keep people exploring more randomly. Thanks for your time, Zike
  12. Diamonds come as swag when trades occur with market. I have not seen the other resources either. I've seen legendary carbines for sale in player shops so I assume someone else found them but I have not. I'll be watching this post as well.
  13. Yeah. That make sense, that's what probably happened because I was right after long sotd fight. I was in the middle of my ship maintenance, when dc occur. So it probably some storms hit my vessel and damaged planks leaked.
  14. In generall, server goes into stasis when its not rendered. Meaning it saves it current state and continue from there when someone is around again. Doing calculations from when it went to sleep up until current date. Everything happened while offline, will occur now when its rendered again. Tames that died in stasis will get reported to died current date too. So now you logged in again and rendered the server (part), the server will caculate the water coming into your ship from a leak, and if it would have sunk like 20 min ago, it will let it sink in the moment you render it. Thats also how the server let you jump to a decayed bed, but when you arrive your whole base is there, bc it decayed only when you rendered it. In your case there are some possibilities as to why your ship sunk. All will most likely happen while someone passed your ship and rendered the server for some time. Also when you DC, your char is still online for 3 minutes, and the server is active therefore. So maybe your char was triggering following events. - Storm ->cyclones ->leak - Sotd ->leak - normal decay ->leak - sailing over a whale -> leak This whole mechanic can be a pain for breeders, bc - meat get spoild first, babies are only allowed to eat afterwards. - tames / babies dont heal in stasis - stuff that dies in stasis dont get propperly reported (no course given) PS: Use tames for farming. A Rhino gets your flint way more easy, but i have to agree that the changes to hand farming are a pain. Eles and giraffes are actually usefull. Plus points for pink tools tho
  15. Suddenly you can't build stairs, ramps, or sloped doors...... No option for it when building a roof now. (LOL.... must have gotten a few thatch roofs from some flotsam.. I rarely build them nowadays. Explains that..) Kind of hard to cipher your question. I think you are asking for the updates to occur only on designated days of the week. I'd say yes for any regular updates, but hot fixes and necessary patches should occur when ready. They just need to make sure they don't break something else when doing so.
  16. I'm hoping someone can help me out because I've been at this for two days now. This problem started to occur without any warning or reason, there wasn't a disconnect or anything like that. If anything I think Atlas crashed once. I am unable to rejoin or join any atlas server (or ark server for that matter) no matter what I do. All of the servers are showing a negative player amount. like -149/1 when it should be 1/150 or -9/1 when it should be 1/10 I've already tried: -Connecting to different servers, cant get on official or unofficial -Verifying game files -Uninstall/Reinstalling -Checking for updates -Reset settings to defaults -Reset router/modem -Disabled firewalls/vpns I can't figure out how to fix this and there's virtually nothing about this specific issue on the internet. I tried the moving the loading movies into a backup folder trick, usually reduces load times but no luck for me. I went to delete the recent connected server list cache but because I just did a fresh install there is no cache list of recent servers. I am at an absolute loss and am fiending to play Atlas bad lol Already submitted a ticket but there's no telling when I'll get a response. Any ideas?
  17. Posts like this are insulting to the community at large and should be shunned. A post about a game mechanic problem is NOT complaining. It's a factual evidence-based argument that something needs to change to allow for a better gamer experience - which is EXACTLY what Early Access is all about. Storm mechanics could also use some improvement in my opinion. Having cyclones that miraculously follow you and spawn directly in front of you is: A) Stupid B) Unrealistic C) Not randomized enough in relation to the size of the open sea. If a cyclone does occur, it should be visible from afar, random, and only occur in a single, very large, avoidable, and VERY deadly cyclone; instead of 12 that continuously spawn at and around you while you move.
  18. Because it will take all day Thursday and Friday to actually apply the update, wipe, and then fix the reliable network overflow issues likely to occur...
  19. Really wasting my time with you. I can read what is written. The fact is, it doesn't actually occur like that. In fact, it doesn't occur at all. What they expect to happen, does not actually happen. How do I make you comprehend? Empty Hand, is still empty hand even if you claim you put a penny in it.. No penny, still empty hand.. As for map gold.. I'll check it.. but I seem to always get more gold for my maps.. not less. Unless the map gold amount is an avg.
  20. Again, you're not taking into account that it's not just that one person. It's everyone who ever has a map that spawns where your structure is. As long as your structure is there, the problem is not going to go away. So it isn't the 4 hours against your 700 hours, it's all the accumulated hours of everyone who ever comes to your spot with a map, and the value of those maps they can't use. If the map is low value and thus the trip was short, likely the owner does just throw it away. I have done this multiple times. But a high quality map is a different matter. Suggesting that people wait until you are online (if you're already online this problem doesn't occur) isn't a very practical solution because the other player has no idea when you're going to be online or whether your playtimes intersect with theirs. They also have no way of knowing if you are a reasonable person who would let them in or not. They are faced with essentially stopping their gameplay until you both are online at the same time with no advance of knowledge of when that might be or whether it will be fruitless if you turn out not to allow them in. As Demon Meliodas take on the situation seems to suggest, even if you did so you'd be entirely within your rights as an owner of the island to not allow them in for no good reason. IMO this is the fundamental flaw in his approach. As for dismissing the notion that people will sail 7 grids for one map. If the map is 7 grids away it is probably a very high end map, and yes it is possible for higher end maps to be this far away from where one acquires them. Thus if they sail that far, they have a lot of time and effort invested into getting to where you are, and because of the value of the map, asking them to discard it is not a very practical or considerate approach. I would agree that pitching a fit over a common quality map found in the same grid would be a bit self centered, but those aren't the only scenarios that are going to occur. On the other hand, there is a positive reason for you to want people to come and do their maps. If you put down a taxation bank, you get 20% of all gold made from maps added into the bank. This isn't subtracted from what players get when they do the map, its free money to you. I don't know about you, but that fact alone would make it worth it to me to accomodate treasure seekers by not blocking access. At the end of the day the situation exists because of poorly thought out game design and lack of thorough internal testing, but to be fair ironing out stuff like this is part of why Early Access is a thing. I dont' think it really should be in this instance if the testing was up to par, but for the time being here we all are. Pve players can decide whether to work towards compromise like rational adults, or engage in emotional outbursts that are the hallmarks of the immaturity so many pve players like to accuse pvp players of exhibiting. As someone who has experienced both sides of the problem, I'm of the view that players building on pillars is the most practical and equitable solution I'm aware of until hopefully the system is reworked to mitigate the problem.
  21. this occur at main menu... after 1-2mins or loading rejoin server and single player settings this crash occur! i can't even play/join to server/map! and my game dir is D:\Games\Steam\... but this crash/error say it's on H:\ !?? but i didn't have any H Disk! just C D E F My PC Spec: AMD FX9590 8core, NVIDIA GTX 1070 2GB, RAM 32GB(8GB x 4), OS Win10 Avail storage disk at D where my game installed is 170GB free space! can someone help to fix this? i can't play atlas official and even single player Here error/crash log: LowLevelFatalError [File:H:\YARKUpdateSingleplayerTest\Engine\Source\Runtime\Engine\Private\SkeletalMesh.cpp] [Line: 325] Invalid number of texture coordinates VERSION: 208.21 KERNELBASE.dll!UnknownFunction (0x00007ffb39b59129) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] AtlasGame.exe!FError::LowLevelFatal() (0x00007ff706dff131) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\core\private\misc\outputdevice.cpp:354] AtlasGame.exe!operator<<() (0x00007ff70775fe1a) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\engine\private\skeletalmesh.cpp:241] AtlasGame.exe!FStaticLODModel::Serialize() (0x00007ff707761bab) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\engine\private\skeletalmesh.cpp:1179] AtlasGame.exe!TIndirectArray<FStaticLODModel,FDefaultAllocator>::Serialize() (0x00007ff70777cb40) + 79 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\core\public\containers\array.h:2327] AtlasGame.exe!FSkeletalMeshResource::Serialize() (0x00007ff707762bf0) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\engine\private\skeletalmesh.cpp:1960] AtlasGame.exe!USkeletalMesh::Serialize() (0x00007ff707763476) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\engine\private\skeletalmesh.cpp:2425] AtlasGame.exe!ULinkerLoad::Preload() (0x00007ff706e8bcf4) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\coreuobject\private\uobject\linkerload.cpp:3025] AtlasGame.exe!FAsyncPackage::CreateExports() (0x00007ff706e6857b) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\coreuobject\private\serialization\asyncloading.cpp:1056] AtlasGame.exe!FAsyncPackage::Tick() (0x00007ff706e66d22) + 8 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\coreuobject\private\serialization\asyncloading.cpp:296] AtlasGame.exe!ProcessAsyncLoading() (0x00007ff706e69958) + 24 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\coreuobject\private\serialization\asyncloading.cpp:1580] AtlasGame.exe!FlushAsyncLoading() (0x00007ff706e69682) + 17 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\coreuobject\private\serialization\asyncloading.cpp:1433] AtlasGame.exe!UEngine::LoadMap() (0x00007ff707860904) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\engine\private\unrealengine.cpp:9782] AtlasGame.exe!UEngine::TickWorldTravel() (0x00007ff70785e7ea) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\engine\private\unrealengine.cpp:9321] AtlasGame.exe!UGameEngine::Tick() (0x00007ff70759effc) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\engine\private\gameengine.cpp:1156] AtlasGame.exe!FEngineLoop::Tick() (0x00007ff7059ee32f) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\launch\private\launchengineloop.cpp:2733] AtlasGame.exe!GuardedMain() (0x00007ff7059e8bdc) + 0 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\launch\private\launch.cpp:140] AtlasGame.exe!GuardedMainWrapper() (0x00007ff7059f0dba) + 5 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\launch\private\windows\launchwindows.cpp:125] AtlasGame.exe!WinMain() (0x00007ff7059f0ee8) + 8 bytes [h:\yarkupdatesingleplayertest\engine\source\runtime\launch\private\windows\launchwindows.cpp:209] AtlasGame.exe!__tmainCRTStartup() (0x00007ff7088d5bc9) + 21 bytes [f:\dd\vctools\crt\crtw32\dllstuff\crtexe.c:618] KERNEL32.DLL!UnknownFunction (0x00007ffb3d617974) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] ntdll.dll!UnknownFunction (0x00007ffb3daba271) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0] ntdll.dll!UnknownFunction (0x00007ffb3daba271) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0]
  22. @ScarlettSwagger Details Regular Map (Maelstrom) Tundra PvE Breeding Area (Top Floor) 1. Two story (4 walls high) w vaulted ceilings. Top floor was breed area. Also I suggest building it 2-3 foundations above ground level so snakes can't glitch through the wall. Quick and dirty way is to make all inner foundations thatch and wrap it in wood. Stone IS NOT necessary. 2. One tile in from the outer wall I placed wooden doorframes on 3 sides of the 2nd floor. 3. Between the outer wall and inner perimeter doorframes I placed as many campfires as i could fit 4. I left enough room on the entry wall for a preservation bag w ice, a water barrel and large storage box for saddles and various crap. 5. Used a small gate w ramps for entry. Whole breeding area was about 8x6 tiles, maybe? Plus about 8x6 for the conga line outside. 6. I was able to place the stud in the middle w a female on each side and breed 2 at a time. As my stable of female lions grew (~20) I would line them up towards the entry in a conga line and rotate until i got to the first one impregnated. This resulted in ~2 births every 3-5 minutes to give ample sorting time. *** Very Important Bottom Floor *** 1. Raised the floor 2 foundations using foundations in the center, ceiling tiles on the edge and added half stairs. 2. Crawled around and spread ~6 campfires AROUND THE CENTER DIRECTLY UNDER the mating area. I usually only needed the center 4 or so. Leave space to crawl between to light them and refill. 3. When built correctly the campfires from the bottom floor will be ~touching the bottom of the second floor. In real life it would burn down , but, in Atlas the heat from the campfires underneath radiates safely to the 2nd floor breeding area. Few pro tips A. However much raw meat you think you'll need, triple it. B. Park Bears away from the feeding troughs or they'll eat the meat for the maturing lions. C. Lots of ice and preserving bags D. I used salted meat in the feed troughs since it lasts 8 times longer than raw. E. If your doing this for resale most buyers will want tigers for the swipe and bleed. F. Don't freak out about the hot and cold icons above the new borns, just check their HPs, usually they'll be fine when you get practice. At night the temperature drops so I would often get cold icons but they rarely lost more than 2HPs out of 35 and immediately healed when the temperature returned to normal. G. Once I had my litter sorted i drug them to the corner and usually operated w 4 1st floor campfires and ~7 2nd story fires. H. Don't forget to disable wandering, follow, actiivate ignore group whistles and set them to passive. I. Occasionally, in addition to all the aforementioned campfires, I had to use ~8 torches on a switch, placed on the doorframes, to get breeding to occur. Cold front maybe? Final thing, this system is 2+months old. Good luck.
  23. Its really sad to see you guys go in this direction and neglecting a core component of your game. PvE does not only provide content to do for the pve server, it provides content for the pvp players as well. It gives incentive to go out into the world, it creates oppourtunity for players to encounter each other and the potential for conflict to occur. You say you want players to create stories as they live in Atlas, yet by neglecting new enviornmental content you reduce these stories into only "we went out hunting and killed some noobz". This becomes stale and eventually boring.
  24. 2/10/21 8PM PST- We are aware of some server issues with the latest update and are actively working on a fix. We appreciate your patience as we troubleshoot this incident. 2/11/21 1AM PST - The fix for the servers has been released and after a couple hours of careful monitoring we have determined the servers are operating normally. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. Ahoy Pathfinders! A new ship will be sailing into harbor with the new patch. The “Majestic Kraken” will be available from the ship salesman, it's a streamlined vessel that not only looks deadly but packs quite the punch if she gets her tentacles on you. That's because she's touting 24 cannons that provide 50% more damage. The Kraken will be similar to the previous Ramming Galley, with custom ship compartment load outs and repairable via the Patch Kit. So gather up your doubloons and release the… you know the rest. In other highlights of the patch, along with a few more bug fixes, we've also taken another pass at the glider suit so you can sail the skies, for a reasonable amount of time. You get a blueprint, you get a blueprint, you get a blueprint... You guessed it, blueprint drops will be doubling and counts required are going down. So, go get your craft on. Lastly, accordion music will wake creatures up faster after being tranquilized. Lederhosen and polka dancing are not required, but it couldn't hurt. Community Surveys Last patch, we asked our fellow pathfinders to take part in a community survey that would help the Atlas team gain better insight on the wants and needs of our community. Needless to say, we were overwhelmed by your participation and feedback and will be taking a lot of it into consideration. We would like to genuinely thank all who participated. To continue this series of engagement, we will have another community survey in the near future, this one will address recent concerns around ship construction and customization. We look forward to hearing more of your input and appreciate your support. Released Patch Notes v522.3 New Ship: The Majestic Kraken The Ship Salesman's inventory is expanding! Anything discussed is only up to date as of the moment it is posted. Features and changes that ultimately make it to the next patch, as well as timing, may be different from what was previously discussed. 25. 28 - Glitching after long sailing. If I play for a long time with no log outs, and if I sail alot all this time, then after I cross some glitches start to occur. Sometimes I see this: Sometimes all moving parts double themselves. I have like double doors, double cannons, etc. My ship wont allow me to move anywhere, do all rubber stuff. Sometimes my crew disabbear, or sail loosing painting and goes white. It's all cured by re load the game. 29 - Server message behind sextant buff. And I just wanna remind you of this issue.
