Digging by hand works fine but if you use a shovel it consumes stamina but nothing else happens.

Does anyone know where the atlas server data (connected players, map type) comes from? Is there an API that's available? I'm interested in developing a project.

I move the fiber / veggies into my inventory with T then use the drop all button for the berries and crap. Saves a lot of time.

Same thing happened to me with a crab. Servers crashed and it got eaten by a whale. The lesson is don't risk anything you can't afford to lose and don't put all your eggs in one basket. The servers aren't to be trusted.

Sail and ship speed need a balance pass. The devs mentioned on the last livestream that's coming. The fact that schooners and galleons are matched in speed is a bit silly. Beyond that I think the game would benefit from a ship cheaper, smaller, lighter and faster than a schooner. Right now the sloop is dead last in speed by a huge margin compared to schooners, brigs and galleons who are all very closely matched.

I just lost a crab to a server crash. I had just finish salvaging a boat when I noticed I couldn't jump with it. I also noticed damage numbers 200 feet behind me and my crab was taking damage. I couldn't dismount, open my map but I could still move. The server didn't seem to recognize the position change. Shortly afterwards the server crashed. It was down for about 10 minutes. I logged back in as soon as they came back up. I was greeted by a message saying I was killed by a sperm whale. I checked the company logs and saw the crab died shortly after me. I get that this is early access but these kinds of crashes should have some sort of safeguards in place. The server shouldn't keep running after it's kicked people off. If it does then at the very least it should roll back to a point where it was healthy.

The problem is with a shorter combat phase it becomes harder for large companies to siege each other because there's less of a window to capture an island.

I agree for small companies the timer is way too long. But that's just a symptom of the much bigger issue of how do you balance both small and large companies on a single shard. If you reduced the combat phase people like ZWT2135 complain. If the time scaled by member count like DOCOLDS suggested then people would have shell companies with minimal member counts that hold islands for the reduced combat phase. I doubt there's a way to balance this without creating a separate server for small groups. Even that would hard to ensure the mega corps don't swarm that too.

Yeah, I'd says it's a 50/50 chance you get a map out of a bottle. Is this a feature or a bug?

This has happened to me several times since I started playing a week ago. I did some research and it looks like this bug has been around for months. Doesn't seem to be a priority.

The mechanic right now certainly is buggy but I can see where the devs are going with it. You're dominating the animal over time by knocking the piss out of it until you can drop it to the ground with a bola. Once it's bloody and beaten you feed it and show you can provide for its needs. The animal will fight you tooth and nail every step of the way which is why they still swipe at you while they're down. If they fix the structure aggro bugs and add a sound or animation cue just before the animal is going to take a swipe at you it would make things more interesting. Active taming with dodging!

Has anyone found this on c-13? I've been looking for hours and I can't seem to find it. The wiki says it's on Saufield Key but I don't see an blue auras on the island.
