it looks like you played 2 weeks got raided an came here to complain, a lot of your complaints refer to older versions of atlas, ie shipyard fortification helps the little guys. before them you log on every day to all sunken ships by 1guy on cannon bear. there are some good and some bad. but the game is constantly changing. if you dont like it now come back in 6 or 12 months ad it will look verry difrent again. i get the feeling atlas is just a test bed of what works with plan to make a better full version or atlas 2

Are you setting the NPC to aggressive? Dont do that. You have to look at the cannon and chose target all. And leave the npc set to neutral. When an npc is on a gun always change only the gun/cannon options (look at cannon directly)

Suggestion: Fast travel with ship.

I say just fix the damn wind. Takes so long to sail when in low wind. And cant ever see a reason to have low wind. Faster winds would make travel less boring. More exciting ship combat and more chance to crash if afk sailing. Just up the wind speed by 50% tho this might have negative effect on server performance. Still increase sailing speed is all that's needed -

Look at it their way. They find an island, spend hard earned gold to own it. They want to do as they will on that land. If you come along and place buildings it blocks them from building their own defence. There are many island owners out there that will give you space and safety to build on their land. Just ask first. Or risk it on lawless. Or buy your own island -
Yeah if they are good ship builders and place swivels well it is difficult to board. Your right in the guys we sunk had rubbish swivel placement or missing NPCs on them. The crossbow can be useful as if you find yourself on a deck looking at a swivel facing you, but out of range to nit shoot at you. You can take them out. A lot cheaper than grenades also. And as long as you can see the npc, you can shoot him. Also if you are a high lvl with lots of hp and good armor, maybe can tank 1 shot? I just wish they would improve tha ability to capture ships. Wit regards to the mythical gally. They take a LONG time to gather all BPs and mats to build. So would be sad if a bunch of dudes could just take over it by boarding. And tbh gallis are quite easy to remove swivels because of the way you can stand on the sides if it and throw grenades over the top. I use the term "easy" quite loosely

I actually agree that anchored ships should not sink. I'm the worlds worst for sinking ships offline or in freeports, but it is purely to steal things from a boat. If I can blow a hole in the side, get in and steal things then leave. As it is it is faster to pop 1 plank let it sink then break into boxes when its underwater. If ships didn't sink. I could still pop a plank and look inside and break boxes if I found something nice. But at least the poor owner could log on repair and continue. And if I rly wanted to sink the ships maybe have to pop all planks. . . More and more people log on to find their ships sunk. Then they just say FT and leave the game. Makes for a lonely Atlas world

Like has been said. You need to wait 15 mins after dropping an anchor for it to be classed as safe from overweight. If you anchor you will be vulnerable again. It works now. Comes up with a yellow symbol when overweight

They only just put this in the game. . It's not likely to be removed.

Removing npc swivels from ships would break ship combat. I spend a lot of time ship fighting and love most of all trying to board ships. Once we get a guy on their deck it is game over. Sank 4 briggs vs 1 brigg at sea combat using only swords gliders and 1 cannon. There are many ppl out there who dont have swivel defence or have a bad setup. And there are ways to remove npc from swivels, crossbow work against them. Grenades and flame ammo also. It's part of the fun of ship combat. If you want something that it broken try fighting a full mythical ship that strips all planks with 1 volley

There is a lot of talk from people complain ing about their parked ship on an island being sunk bu passers by. I agree it is sad to loose your hard work but you need to get in the mindset of the lawless land where atlas is set. People take what is easy to take with no care for your work as long as they get some sort of benefit. If you dont want to loose your ship your options are to have somone guard it or hide it well and hope. Think about allying with people so you can share the time guarding your ships or pay some to park in their harbor. If you cant protect your ship then it will get sink. Just expect that and you wont feel so sad playing atlas

I would like to see occasional spawns of something valuable, but its position given on the global map, then people have chance to get there and fight over it. Just a place marked with high chance of ship combat. Hell I would love to see a sailing arena. To just roll up in a ship and enter then have fun ship fighting. Could be some sort of prize for the winner
