As the title says....

I could have sworn I had lowered foundations in the past using pillars like back in ark.... loaded the game back up and started building a base on the Blackwood stand-alone map.... cant get a foundation to lower.... were we ever able to lower foundations in Atlas or have I just gotten my wires crossed?....

More good advice.... thanks..... I think I’m gonna go home at lunch and get download started so I can play when I get home.... I might also put a dummy on the couch and throw a blanket over it so my wife thinks I’m watching tv with her allowing me an opportunity to check out the new changes....

Indeed..... I was under the impression they would not be added until phase 4..... I read something in patch notes about 70 new island temples..... were more islands added ?.... did they do away with all the duplicate islands ?....

How come none of you called me and told me they added wild pirate camps to the single player mode ?.... you all know that is what I have been waiting for.... you ALL can consider yourselves un-friended from my non-existent Facebook page.... But before I cut you all out of my life for good I have two questions..... We’re they added to the Blackwood map ?... and do the include the ships patrolling around the islands they spawn on..... Also, anything else you can tell me about this feature will make you a tiny bit less dead to me.....

Even though I stopped actively playing a month or so ago I still check the forum to see what the 5 of you left posting have to say.... I listened to every word of the livestream..... they first hinted at having npc’s/factions in single player PVE about a month ago.... that’s when I stopped playing.... I figured I would be back in a month or so when it was implementedf.... what I got from the livestream was that it MIGHT be considered about a year from now at soonest.... guess I will check back then.... PEGLEGTHEANGRY..... don’t bother wasting the wear and tear on your keyboard telling me what’s wrong with my thinking/attitude or whatever because I’m already gone.... not that I care what you think anyway cuz your breath smells like developers ass.....

The latest Captains log talked about new islands and duplicate islands being deleted.... have been working 13 hr days last 3 weeks so I haven’t had the energy or time to log on and find out for myself.... has anyone been to the test server and seen these new islands ?..... Are they replacing deleted islands?... anything anyone knows about these changes and would like to share, I would like to read .....

Nice.... my pdga membership has lapsed (22094) so I can’t see my stats.... as best I remember I have been to maybe 5 am worlds.... I thought I was hot shite for a moment and entered pro worlds in Kansas City some years ago.... came in somewhere around 64th in the masters division.... was not happy with that so I got my amateur status back.... would rather be a big fish in a small pond mentality.... I was 1/2 of the team that won 2007am worlds doubles in the advanced masters division.... i bet we know or have met many of the same people.... I know lots of the tournament players pro and am in the Texas area.... anyway.... you now get a pass when it comes to my toxic posts on this forum.....

I had very high hopes for this new map.... I was expecting a thing of beauty.... these islands are so very meh..... where are the waterfalls ?.... (yes I know there are one or two) were are the cool caves to build in ?.... The last batch of islands that were added to official were SOOOO much cooler than this digital disappointment.... I am a pretty loyal guy when it comes to my video games but as far as I am concerned Atlas has only one more strike left.... If the next mega patch with the npc's taking over unused islands does not blow me away I am taking my vinegar and crawling back under my rock never to be heard from again.... I know my vinegar will be missed but hey.... you will allways have Realist to rag on till the plug is finally pulled.... to recap.... this new map is a pos and the vinegar tears are ankle deep in my moms basement.....

What I find funny that they tried decaying single structures on Ark and people added ladders to their pillars.... are they really this stupid?.... parking lot time!.... Give us a claim system that prohibits (by game mechanics) people from building a one use taming pen (like those stupid sign pens) 3 feet from someones front door and this all goes away.... I recommend 5 flags per player.... company size is irrelevant.... and for those that are calling for a permanent ban..... imagine body parts that would get me a forum ban for mentioning and su@k that.....

Well screw it then..... I give up..... Thinking the only thing that will make me fell better is to go lay down some more pillars.....

Check my post history.... you will find that I do indeed offer something in the way of a solution... I am probably the most vocal on these boards when it comes to the very solution you yourself just presented.... bring back the old system with a limit of 5 flags per character.... until they do that UDO...... when you see my spam, you are in my base....

UDO..... where your base at ?..... i will come set up a taming pen right outside your front door.... bet you change your tune about “pillar protection” real quick..... the new “line” is just for you.....

If you see a foundation or pillar with my name on it.... YOU ARE INSIDE MY BASE.... and if you think decaying stand alone elements will fix YOUR problem.... think again.... I will just turn the whole damn base into one big parking lot....

What part of “I will build a parking lot” do you people not understand?.... Do you people really think that your decay formula if it’s attached to a ladder and 3 half walls it will last for so long will stop people from claiming the area they want for their base ?.... It WONT..... MARTYN.... you say free build maps should have no limitations on what and where to build ?.... sounds like you are condoning pillar spam to me .... And remember kiddies.... if you can read my name on a foundation you are INSIDE my base..... (I’m just more considerate than the average hypocrite on these forums.... I don’t build walls around my base keeping treasure hunters out)....

SYDHART..... I do NOT blame the broken flag system for everything wrong with the game.... I blame it for what is wrong with the claim system only.... broken claim system is pretty much ALL I complain about.... how would I fix it ?.... glad you asked..... First I would do away with lawless , make every island except Freeport’s the same.... Then I would give 5 to 10 claim flags per person..... If you are not within the radius of one of your flags you cannot build.... Areas of valuable resources are no build areas.... This is for PVE by the way...

No problem..... I will just turn the area I want as a base into a parking lot..... wall to wall foundation.... will be perfect for a landing strip if the airships pictured are ever implemented.... face it..... the new flag system sucks almost as bad as the old system..... until a better one is implemented, foundation/pillar spam Is the workaround.... Only way you gonna “fix” foundation spam is to “fix” the claim system..... If you see a foundation with my name on it, you are IN my base.....
