  1. and yet you say you do not, which is why you complain about not getting a schooner every other day, while everyone playing the game as is gets them daily if they want to... and drop all the resources overflow on the ground... we got so much it would be a waste of time putting more into a resources chest... for what...? better to sail, for which we now got more time...
  2. Well, seems like the only entitlement is on you... Play the game by the rules of the game. If you don't like the rules, or you are not good at it, play something different. Granted the rules have changed... but they are still the rules...
  3. with "invest a lot of time" you mean waiting around for the resources to farm themselves in your or the other guys farms and warehouses... right...? if not, like I said, you are doing it wrong... get with the program...! more sailing, less bobing...!
  4. So you build your soloplayer "town" right next to a existing Warehouse and then complain about it...?!?! Or more likely that dude knows how to play - while you were LARPing around and found that spot where warehouse placement is possible, so he can build a schooner every other day while you lose your ships all the time to known game mechanics and game problems... And then you complain about "that unbelievable act" while you choose to void your options to solve it yourself, by choosing PVE in a made for PVP only game... pro tip...: go singleplayer -> cheat god...

  6. 1. Wait, you could place a warehouse in your base to make lots of gold to drop a schooner ever 1-5 days (depending on your connected trade routes) and did not...? You complain about people building all over it, although you choose Atlas Hard-Griefer Mode aka PVE...? 2. Somehow no one has a problem with loosing ships that way... might be we keep our eyes open for the real dangers aka PVP players and such thing as giant NPCs with aggro meter over their head are too obvious and easy to avoid... you pulled him after you when you left the islands... literally watch your back...! 3. The aggressive whales always did that... you might see them breaking water, you might see them breathing very far away, you will definitively see the aggro meter when dive and go for you... and as you know they are only in specific sectors... so you keep your eye out for it there... Or are you also complaining about the icebergs 'showing up' out of nowhere? Or the SOTDs...? Even PVE is not a petting zoo... 4. Who cares...? 7. It is not a Soloplayer thing... it is a You thing...
  7. Each market tries to get ONLY ONE of it's trade routes working -> ships moving All other trade routes are NOT shipping... Therefore if you go A>B>C>A it results in only two routes shipping - for example: A>B and C>A, but not B>C because all markets already got at least one route shipping. If you have 4 markets A,B,C,D in a circle it would also at some point result in only to routes working so every market gets ONE route shipping: A>B and C>D for example. If you want max shipping going on you have to connect every other market to only one center market like a star. Thereby all markets force one route each on the center market, which will have multiple shipping, while all other at least got one. That is max shipping you can achieve right now. I guess that is to limit server load or later actual trade ships moving around on the servers... Maybe they change it now that most of the market lag is solved... When setting up your star market setup take note that markets seems to only be able to request 5 trade routes, but can accept (or at least auto-accept internal) trade routes.
  8. Well the PVP spam is just needed because anyone otherwise builds there FOB next to your base and wipes you... Hopefully with going back to old flag system (hopefully not 100%) we can set territory to NO BUILD so we don't need to spam anymore... (no one likes spamming, but currently has to be done...) Concerning the Farms that not work... how about you "steal" the resources from them for your own use and refuel them so you can "steal" some more... no need for giraffes or elephants... BTW Atlas is all about kayaking and canoeing... finally we got more time for it...
  9. you are not supposed to get a gally as a solo every other day on official... even bigger companies a gally should be special... but you still can do it right now with the amount of gold you make doing nothing... get with the program... gold and resources make themselves now... so you can go out sailing more and not farm by hand for this... hell, now your ships are 'unsinkable' when you park them for a small TIP...
  10. wait, what? you are using markets and trade routes and with even one route working you make ~1000 gold/day in grid and you think the docks cost too much in upkeep and the ship you stuck in that dock is too expensive...? funny that if you get going a few trade routes in grid with others or YOUR OW markets! you can crank out a schooner a day (did you know the farms connected to your ware house which connect to your market got all the resources ready to go for your new ship?). Yeah, for the dock it takes you two days... OF DOING NOTHING...! and not for you, but everyone else around you: steal Nutty's gold from his trade warehouse and use the resources from his farms so you can crank out a schooner a day and laugh at him from your schooner in your dock next to his market while he figures out how to make the ~57.000 cannon balls to take revenge on you... BTW markets make a lot of balls and powder... you can do it Nutty! We don't need gun control, we need bullet control...!
  11. You know that the Devs have the same problems and cannot reproduce the old ship system? That is also why they work on a new ship build system - maybe wait for that with the release of the ramming ship and start your ship design from there... At some point the old ship system will be removed anyway...
  12. Currently it is a little problematic with the gold... Markets are making a fair amount even if it is only in grid (if they just not stop trading for unknown reason), but that only counts for the owner of the warehouse. They trade islands seem to not make anything to steal... My fear is that the ships need to cost much more when trade fully works (over distance, raiding ships and trade islands). Farming the other mats is a no issue at all anymore, what with farm houses doing it for you... sure some are puckled, others are not (so they farm more without work by the owner) and there is always the option to ally to the Puckle owner... hell if you do clear our farm houses and refuel them (for mutual benefit) your are a valuable person to have around...

  14. ~350dmg -> ~850 balls needed But they are blocking other structures (even each other) in a funny retangle that is turned 40° clockwise... so it is not good for harbor integration... You can build structures before placing the dock over it... but you cannot place anything on the dock (so no Puckles - which only be needed when the dock is destroyed anyway) I guess you also cannot build anything on the ship in the dock because of it. I would ask to remove the structure blocking, so we can use them in our harbor builds - structures are not protected anyway... Would gladly remove my 10k structure protective docks and replace it with armored docks, but a ship parking space needs some other useable/buildable structures as well...

  16. nice copy of my harbor bunkers... If you now just give the large walls 1.200.000 HP (same as 10x12 walls), I would consider saving your server some structures (like 119 each)...

  18. yupp, that is what I said... your problem right there... PVE... live with it... or switch PVE off to fix it...

I think they fixed that problem with EA release a few years ago... they call it PVP... unfortunately it is a server setting option and some people choose to not turn on this fix, so they have to live with this bug, which is not even an exploit... which the most toxic griefers in Atlas love to use and choose to join those bugged servers for the lolz... Would be better if the devs would just shut down those griefer havens and be done with it having only fixed server running...
  20. So quick question... We get the old flag system back, which resulted in a wipe because it was a spamming mess (especially on PVE). For what? Because people are unable to get around living on a already claimed island, and live in lawless where they cannot live? How about remove the lawless islands and make them claimable? doubles the number of islands right there and gives "everyone" 15hrs of peace... Because guess what after the last three seasons there will be no one that will allow someone else claiming a part of their island. So after many tears the islands will be each spammed by one company. Roman rule of empire: 'make a desert and call it peace'. Also if it would somehow work that people share claim an island, there will be no taxes (because no one will live in another claim), bye bye cooperation... This all sounds like the barrel problem: "Hey fellow new devs, I found this option to shoot barrels from cannons that the old devs implemented and then removed really quick which I don't understand, sounds like a good idea, lets set this option to '1'..." "Hey fellow new devs! I found a another option the old timers disabled fro no reason I am able to understand, it is about claim flags, lets set that one to '1' too...!"
  21. Well, if you have 40 Sloops standing around (anchor limit) it is much less structures as the 25 Schooners, 10 Brigs and 5 Gallys... Also Sloop number 41 will help a lot to reduce the number of Sloop spam... Also as we see now, every Sloop is a target for a Schooner now... BTW if the Trade system would finally work as intended, there are no more cargo ships needed... Back to what I said, with the new limit on ships (as in Gold cost) people have to think if and for what they need a ship. Hell with the Farmhouses we could have spammed 40 Brigs on day two and our settlers as well from the same farmhouses... Loosing such a cheap ship would set you back by the time it takes to take the resources from the bank into the shipyard... The problem I still see is that ships are still as unsafe as ever from getting harbor run or lawless offlined, because of useless defenses that require multi thousand structure to maybe work... And I think that is the mismatch we have with the gold cost for ships now... not that you have a problem with working on getting the gold for a schooner now... but that you know that thing might already be sunk when you come back online... so is it worth your time farming for it in the first place, when it might be 5k gold a day just to ride a Schooner when you are online... I guess Freeporting still works...
