  1. I agree...i mentioned of having 1/2 map with an adjusted claim flag system..and the other half with the new horrible plan...get player feedback on both...then keep adjusting. An all build map is just working in reverse...Unless they dont care about the PVE side of the game....
  2. Can you imagine the griefers placing large stone gates in front of your docks to lock in ships? Or Beast Gates around entire islands? its a bad plan. And any assumption that people "will have trouble" with the spamming due to an upkeep box is nonsense.

  4. the one flag plan is for PVP....Pve will be all build with only decay restrictions...i.e. lawless with placing resources in a tax bank to repair. Foundation spam, place tax bank = lawless map
  5. i think they said resources will come out of the "tax bank" and be applied to decay on structures. large companies will have the advantage...just foundation spam...set up a tax bank with massive amounts of resources, and not have to worry about it again.

  7. Server wipe is fine, if end result is better than before. An all build map is a horrible idea. They are assuming that the upkeep will keep out the foundation spams...its not. entire map will be lawless zones.
  8. yea...im still confused about the stream...seems like there is some confusion on direction. Fixing claim flags to be paintable, and "they wave now" when that system will be gone...not efficient management on employee time, imo. Never played ARK, had some buddies play...But i can look at current lawless zones and pretty much guarantee an entire map with same results.
  9. The planned solution - isnt a solution at all. Its foundation spam 101. No matter the assumption "well..they will have to be upkeep on the foundations, so it wont be a problem" is a huge problem...it will turn the entire map into lawless zones. i agree...its a horrible idea
  10. They have land a available in other sectors. Land claim fix wont bring back lawless sectors to the original concept, unless you force the move / wipe the zone.
  11. The issue is the mechanics of lawless islands as the current state, which is broken. If lawless zones require Dev's to spend time to adjust them more in line with normal zones...just change to normal zones and move on...or revert with the wipe and reset giving time for people to move to normal zones.
  12. i dont think the mechanics of lawless zones were designed for "living" on the island. No limit on building...the render times...its a mess. If any change was made to ease the pain of current residents, it may as well be a normal zone..with a reduction in animal and resource spawns. But plenty of time to address problem before launch.
  13. bottom line...the huge island grabbing lawless squaters are not going to pack up and move just to find other spots that could be out there...its past that point now. Which makes having lawless islands pointless. give em 1 week, and turn it into normal zone, or 1 week and wipe. Enjoying lawless islands for what they were is over until it changes. They have land out there now for sale..but "im not going to spend my free time sailing around looking for land"

  15. I hear ya. I dont think a happy medium is available in lawless..."if it can happen, it will happen" the allowance to run rampant with building wont go away in these zones. its sad
