Whats the best way to tame them if you don't have a sub?

I also just did one on an island that has not been claimed, its a 57 point island but no one has bought it and I got the exact amount I was owed on the map. I don't know anyone else getting tax charged off their maps...… anyone else? I've lost thousands of gold. One I did that was on island that no one owns, so no tax was set up.

Thanks everyone for piping in on the topic. No one else I know that does maps is getting taxed on them and they are getting the full amount on the map or more in some cases. I only get half on lawless too, where there is no tax, so its definitely something wonky. I'm verifying my game files now just on the off chance there's something weird there, but doesn't seem like that would be it either. Would really like some feedback from devs. Now that 2x is over, I'll do a map and post new screenshots at some point today or tomorrow.

Also, I am on EU PVE I got the excess gold because of 2x, when 2x is not on, I get half the amount of the gold shown on the map.

All of the treasure maps I'm doing are only paying out 50% of the value listed on the map and I'm doing them alone, so shouldn't be split with another player. I've attached some pictures. I've lost thousands of gold because of this. Even on 2x I'm not getting the correct amount. This map should have been 302 gold (151x2 for 2x gold weekend). It only paid out 257. On 1x its only half the map value. This one paid out half the map value and then the full value of it for the second credit 76+151 because its 2x, if it was 1x it would have only given me the 76 gold. This happens to me on every map.

Bear baby hp drop when too cold or too hot is too fast. I've lost 2 at adolescent stage in the last 24 hours, while I was right there turning on more grills and adding more. Its like it gets stuck dropping and doesn't correct. Forget even trying to walk for an imprint, it's almost instant death. This is in K3 pve.
