This is so bullshit. Kraken v2 gave 290k xp (with EQ buff) * song (so 500 to 714k xp) after first reset of levels. It was 50% more before. Thats based on the XP i gained for the kills. Could be that the missing XP was from the quest, but i doubed that. so with a full band song it would have taken about 11 kraken v2 to go fom 80 (770k xp) to 120 (~9.x m xp). For DPs, you do powerstones, kraken v1 and all essences with trench discs and you are basicly max 120. I did all powersstones solo myself, kited hydra to ship and drowned her, that was with basic schooner. I did 3 kills then i sailed the keys (most in E7 - all spawns near, some in G5). No reset of timer required. I only died once in the cave, all other runs were first hit. On old o7 i did 2 dry runs before the proper one. It was about 1PS/h solo. In the beginning i often was the only player in GA grid, now with that many it might be easier or worse.

I never level dmg, other then for a figher bear (when it got enough hp allready). The gain is just to low otherwise, but you might need to hit a dmg requirement to do maps. Also for meat farmers, there are specific breakpoints, like only needing 2 bites instead of 3 for killing or harvesting an ele/giraffe etc. it might worth to spend some level to reach them. Eyp. for tigers i go to 700 stam then alot of weight, and maybe stam to 900 later again. But i breed my tigers, so i have higher melee (from imprinting) and even higer dmg from riders bonus. My current one does 71 dmg without any level spend, its 162 birth dmg btw.

Its 2020 now, things change, mostly player numbers, but also number of devs for this game. What stays is the need to reduce server cost and to deliver some fake content for sale period Next big change anouncement before black friday boys. There is your direction.

you only get DPs from Discoveries 2 whale 28 (once each) powerstones 38 kraken v1 148 essences 38 Kraken v2 148 all quests count as a discovery too, so for the whale kill you get 30 DP in total. This is pretty acurate, but not 100% With this you would need 1650 discovery points for level 150 and 1650 / 4 = ~413 so you need that amount for veteran explorer. but in total there are way more discovery points to earn. For ship quality, its not 100% clear, but people go after this: (only durability matters, actually current HP of SY matters, so repair before use)

The most they spawn now is one soldier and 5-6 worriors. No more archers. That alone makes them way more doable, you can kite them in good terain without taking dmg now. also incoming dmg is reduced by lower numbers. That said i havnt done one myself to check if dmg requirements have risen.

These islands were only added with the turtugar update for my understanding.

These buildings are the worse, over water, eighter build high on pillars, or just above waterlevel to still be able to pick up the bottles. The spawns like in the picture block bottle respawns until server reset.

The way to level is doing quests. You get your 1140 Dps for max level 120 after, Powerstones whales kraken v1 essences with trench discoveries. It is that easy this season doing that and kraken v2 / iceboss too, and you are greater level 80 from Boss XP alone allready. (play red xp songs)

You know that one kraken v2 with an npc played red song is 750k XP, guess how much XP you need for level 80. Its not even 10% more So now 3 weeks after season start, they are still planning to clamp players to that level. I was below level 80 when they anounced the clamp, now i am level 96, and i have done the bosses only once sofar. I have three time the XP of level 80. Why it takes them 2 weeks to react to the exploit properly? Why still planning to reset, the dmg is done and now it will even do more harm (esp. to legit player). If they clamp, i assume some companies run kraken v2 11 times in one day, to get back to level 120.

As others said, and many know, its about preparation for taming. Elephant and Giraffe are Tier 3 tames, it is meant to be not that easy. If you prepare and use what the game offers you, they are just as easy as bears to tame, but ofc still different. I am happy that it is a pain in the ass to tame them when you are a naked level 30 char! As level 70+ with a spec for taming, it is becoming way easier. You can/should use: Plate armor (best with extra amor from BPs) EQ buff Bufffood (Pudding and Rum) Monkey Medpacks 180+ Hp High fortitude You still need to go in-out to feed most of the time. Dont even bother to try to stand in the ele sweetspot, if it works it is easy, but most of the time it isnt working, so get used to the rhythm. And for easier taming of them, dont use any trap/billboard. I havent tamed an elephant on a lawless server (much lag), but as i get hit often anyway, it should be doable there too.
