  1. I run a small 2x2 server with 4 people at most. I set the player level limit to 200. I am getting AOD treasure map spawns of 398. It is just extra content we want to enjoy. I have tried building a stone box with windows but after an hour, the fun really is lost. We can handle the ocean content fine. I didn't know if I could lower treasure level down to make it into a challenge without hurting my ocean content not even sure if the two had anything to do with one another.... The only settings I changed were in the ini files other than the custom level xp for the players and tames. OverrideOfficialDifficulty=4.0 DifficultyOffset=0.5
  2. It was my map. I created a map from scratch and had zero issues until I took the server down two weeks ago in prep for the big patch. I have had 30+ people on and never had a single person. Redis was never the problem. Don't use other people's maps make your own.
  3. I didn't change any of the redis settings other than the ip and password. That make complete sense, my next option was going to be to set it to save once every 24 hours(which I did not want to do). It has to be direct file backup. I will have to read up on how to make it so it does shadow copy. I did already try both lower and higher CPU priority with no difference. I never looked at disk utilization because I am using a ssd and never thought of that. Thanks that gives me something to start with.
  4. After much trail and error I have determined it has to be the redis backing up. I can match the lag spikes with the time stamp on the redis dump file. Any idea what could be causing this or how I can track down what exactly is causing the lag?
  5. Doesn't this go in the gameusersettings.ini? It is listed in the game.ini above. KillXPMultiplier=1.5HarvestXPMultiplier=1.5CraftXPMultiplier=1.5GenericXPMultiplier=1.5SpecialXPMultiplier=1.5
  6. I thought it was an autosave function but I went in and turned that up to every 2 hours in the gamesettings.ini. I also adjusted the redis backup time but still every 10 minutes I get severe lag. It last about 20-30 seconds but for those second we can move around freely only we cannot open anything or do anything that effects the world. The world continues to run because we were fight a ship of the damn and it we were doing fine, lag spike hit and then when ti was over the SOD had sunk us. It isn't the internet, the fiber connection never lost speed. I am running a 3x3 on a poweredge 12 core 128 ram bare. It only runs this server. Is there a log file I can look at to better figure out what the problem is? Any help would be great.
  7. A work around for that and what I did was download REDIS from https://github.com/MicrosoftArchive/redis and install it in the same folder as Atlastools. It will run as a service. You wont ever click on the start redis server button it will just be running in the background. If you have to update your server you need to open your taskmanager and stop the service then reboot the computer or restart the service from that folder but never start it from the asc it will wipe your redis database file.
  8. I found it in gameusersettings...I am having a lag spike every 5 minutes I am trying to track down. I was thinking it was the autosave but it is set up for 10 minutes so I will have to keep looking. Guess my next stop is my REDIS.
  9. Thank you, I had nothing set up in it. What would of been the default autosave time?
  10. How often does the server autosave and where do you find the command to increase or decrease that time? Sorry I searched the forums everywhere and could not find the answer.
  11. So I have been to three islands and soldiers of the damned are popping up like I have treasure maps. Is this normal? Is there a setting I can do to fix this? I have not even ran any treasure maps yet. Could I have picked islands that just have sods as a natural spawn on them? I noticed a pterodactyl on one of them...I just drug islands over and set up a few commands I did not do any custom commands or anything special.
  12. So I went in and opened the REDIS config file and turned on the 127.0.0.1 option and now it is loading fine. Thanks for your help. Pointed me in the right direction with the REDIS comment.
  13. How does it speak to the REDIS server? Will anything every pop up on the redis server screen? I have deleted everything and started all over right down to the server files. I double checked the name of the server and tried different forms of it (with/without caps, with/without spaces etc...). I found a step by step guide by ChromeSDK on here that is pretty informative I just downsized to a 4x4 grid. I remember on a different server I had fatal error with running Conan but it ended up being I wasnt putting a certain command in the bat file. But I agree with your I think it might have to do with the REDIS.
  14. Tried several different installs. I followed the directions to the letter as far as I can tell using the 2x2 grid on a dedicated machine. I made sure to assign my ip to each grid, made a bat file to start each one with separate x/y. It has to be something simple I am missing. I have ran Ark servers and Conan servers on this machine in the past so I know it will run it. All my ports are open so port forwarding shouldnt be an issue, kind of pulling my hair out on this.
