  1. Our experience on NA PVE last night: So we arrive on an island, it shows as unclaimed. We have the required gold and it allows us to put out a flag. We start work on a ship yard and a new ship to go out and gather more gold to maintain our new claim, unbeknownst to us that another clan had put out a flag less than 5 minutes prior to us. There was no indication that there was a pending claim elsewhere on the island when we placed ours. Nothing in the island info. Nothing when we went to put out a flag. NOTHING. Yet we were able to put out or flag and the game took our gold. The other clan's claim goes through and at THAT point our flag shows as being contested and was stuck in limbo in some "unclaiming" loop that teetered between 28 and 29 seconds. I can point out the flaw of having a claiming timer at all when you PAY for the island when you place the flag. It's not like on PVE you can actually contest a claim. It's all about landing first and getting your flag out before others can. But WHY pray tell me does the "contest" feature not come into play while a claim is in the process of being made? We could have just moved along to the next island instead of wasting an additional hour on a claim we were never going to get. AND you don't even get your stinking gold back! Our claim failed and the game kept our gold. To add insult to injury, we log in this morning and the group that had claimed the island had destroyed our ship yard and stole any items that were in/on it. So, basically a whole night wasted. How is this a PVE environment?
  2. Nice! Cool ideas. I'll pass this along to our ammunition specialist. Thanks for sharing!
  3. We keep seeing more and more of them as well. The largest group I've seen is 8 all together and I feel like last night I always had at minimum 2-3 in view as I traveled. They aren't mostly green either. Last night there were 3 yellow and 1 red in a group. I've seen groups of oranges just bouncing off of each other. I've sailed along region borders and had them just in a long row the whole way. I feel like in PVE, people are just not doing anything about them so they accumulate, and in the large groups that they are always in now, I don't feel like we can manage. Fighting several with one ship is not a task I want to take on. Traveling already takes forever most of the time with the constant crappy wind conditions, but now that we have to weave in and out of mobs of SOTD, it takes several hours. By the time I reach my destination, I don't have time to do the task I came for. They are definitely still agroing, though. I was shot at several times yesterday, and granted we are fast enough to outrun them, it's super stressful when you're transporting resources or animals that it took you hours to acquire, trip included. I DREAD border crossings because on numerous occasions they are camping the border and you can't see them until you are literally sitting on top of them. When this was just the occasional single SOTD it wasn't so bad, but when you land on top of 3 or 4 of them. Ugh. I feel like they need to de-spawn after some allotted time in order to keep the numbers reasonable. It'd be nice that they not lurk around border crossings either, unless the devs make it so that regions are continuous and we can see what we're sailing into. Thor, what setup are you running on your ships for this? I keep messing around with options, but haven't found something that works well for us.

    bugged beds

Having this issue as well with our schooners. Upgraded them all to have 3 beds and only one of them remain. They show on the map until you try to use them, then you go to the green map screen. Sometimes it kills you, but usually just makes you select another bed. The beds are not visibly on the ship either. Would be nice to have this fixed, since engaging in battles with only one bed ain't fun! I also have an issue with the beds on our brig that got stuck in the border crash problem. I was the one that was at the wheel when we got stuck and now when I try and port to it, it sends me to the ocean at the spot where we got stuck. If I die, then I can port to the other bed on the ship.
  5. My crew mate was able to log in just now and get on the ship and move it forward, but the wheel was locked out like it was the first time, probably because I'm still technically on it. He demolished the wheel and placed a new one and now he's stuck on it. All of our npcs were in the water and dying and so now it is sitting in dangerous waters until I get home from work and can try and get back on it to move it. This sucks.
  6. Bump, bump, bump, bump! Having this issue as well since last night. My crewmate and I were able to get out of it once by me teleporting to another bed and then back because the ship had managed to pass through the crossing, but had a repeat with the very next crossing. I was able to port to our home base and to my home region, but when trying to cross again with a ramshackle sloop in an effort to get to our brig, I got stuck again. Each attempt to load in puts me at the bed screen with focus on the brig where it currently is, but constantly get disconnected with the traveling message. You can see the brig bouncing back and forth between regions on the map and depending on which side it is on, I end up at the center of that region with a bed map. Please fix this.
