  1. You should be happy to know that i stopped playing this crap long ago, before it became even greater rubbish. I still like to show up every now and then just to let GS know about the colossal failure that they, as a software and gaming company, are. I have never had to witness such massive heaps of totally bone-headed design decisions or outright complete and utter bullshit, along with the occasional smoke and mirrors, as with this game. Nothing else i have ever played does even come close to the complete disaster that is this "game".
  2. Even if there are workarounds does not mean it is in any way, shape or form acceptable to not have them fixed! Even if you were capable of walking bare-footed over lava, doesn't mean anyone else has to do it. People refuse to rely on workarounds to get even the most basic shit done, and for good reason. And no, what Sydhart did was NOT stupid, except for maybe expecting the devs to show any sign of competence or believing any of the crap they keep telling us. The devs did something stupid. And misled white knights like you refuse to have them being held accountable for their mistakes. We are paying(!) customers(!), not some cheap QA slaves. We absolutely, positively, do not have to put up with this kind of crap.
  3. Bugfixing can actually be pretty hard and requires time, talent and a systematic approach. Useless, stupid features, on the other hand, can be thought up by any blithering idiot. An imbalance in the mentioned resources that are attainable to your project may result in a bias towards either one or the other being implemented.
  4. Today i learned that the game breaking down because of critical software bugs is actually the user's fault for not working around them. He did not put his cat in the microwave. The microwave blew up and irradiated the whole neighborhood because of how shitty it was made, despite only being used as intended. Do you seriously oppose the bugs being fixed in your overzealous white knight's crusade?
  5. Can we have auto builders too, which will automatically put down massive monolithic structures covering the whole island, increasing their height until the server eventually just lags out? That way i could spend more time looking after my bear cubs every 17.25 seconds for the next 498 hours at end.
  6. Too little, too late. There has been a full year of cheaters keeping their lv200 accounts. I think GS does not care about complaints from people who already paid for the game. It is highly unlikely that those are going spend any more money on it. If you happen to be in a position where you can threaten to make a couple hundred of players leave the game for good at your command, then that apparently allows you to make unlimited demands and get away with anything. New content, however bugged it might be, on the other hand, is something that might convince a few people who did not already purchase the game to spend some money on it. GS depends on players not leaving the game in droves, but even more than that they rely on a constant influx of new paying customers. They made their bed and now lie in it. As long as players are not actually going to vote with their wallets/feet and leave the game because of all the mistreatment they received from GS, the same old shit is going to repeat itself ad nauseam. If you want anything at all to ever happen in your favor with this PoS company, apply some economic pressure on them. Otherwise, nothing good is ever going to happen.
  7. Simply put: GS wants you to be in a mega. If you're not in a mega, GS wants you to get screwed. Yay megas!
  8. By using exploits that have been around. - Various additional exploits regarding Yeti boss - various yeti boss exploits. - an exploit with the Guillotine Source: Official ATLAS Wiki - atlas.gamepedia.com Ask anyone above lv 150 for details.
  9. Quite the contrary, all scumbags who actively pursue cheating or accept it without resistance need to be met with extreme hostility. Oh, does that include your boss?
  10. There has been exploits in the game. This is not opinion, this is fact! People have been using exploits to gain levels that would otherwise be unachievable in the same amount of time. Nobody got banned for this. There has not been a rollback. They just let them keep their cheated XP.
  11. You have 49 people to circle jerk with over bashing some poor beginner's starter base and ship over and over while he is offline. No other game does that quite the way like Atlas does.
  12. I am a member of all of the following minorities: * underrated geniuses * self-proclaimed saviors of the world * league of <any attribute that will make me seem more likeable> * people who feel they are at a disadvantage in any way And as such i demand this game fulfill my every wish and cater to my needs. Have you tried to convince Id software about the jumping bit and maybe agoraphobia for the next installation of Quake?
  13. Dueling? 1v1??? What do the other 98 people do? You are not even trying to cater to the mega tribes now. Try again with something that would appease the megas and shit on solo or small groups, then GS might consider it. Like this for example: Make a sniper rifle that can one shot kill a player only when you have 49 friends in a radius of 50m around you.
  14. But.. how would megas know who they need to fuck over if they can't look you up on an external website? You need to consider what GS regards as their main audience. If it helps megas to screw over other ppl, it is fine in their book.
  15. I am getting more and more convinced that this game was exclusively created to enable sociopathic dictator assholes behaving like sociopathic dictator assholes.
  16. Megas fighting megas for "competition" is ok. Megas bashing small folks for "fun"/being a dick/because they can is not. There should be a strong incentive for megas to stay the fuck away from smaller groups. Megas should obviously win their fights against smaller groups, but they should have ample reason not to engage them in the 1st place. Fighting against much weaker groups should always come at a hefty cost. Make them pay upkeep for their logistics if they really need to project their force at some smaller group's home, for example.
  17. Inciting conflict between megas/factions is not enough. Any group of players MUST WIN some of those conflicts, as well as the same group MUST LOSE some. If any group of players is allowed to maintain a K/D of above 1.0, there is a problem, because in the long run they would become unstoppable. There has to be some kind of diminishing returns or cumulative upkeep or a catch up mechanism so the most successful group gets a handicap. Whoever is 1st at any time should find it harder and harder to maintain that position the longer they can hold it, regardless of player count or ability. Nobody is going to play the game when they can't avoid being victimized. I can imagine it would be hard to find a way to incentivize players to fight for the #1 spot, so there must be rewards to make it worthwhile. The problem here is that this reward must not give any benefit that would help in any way to hold that #1 spot. Idk if cosmetics and a high score list of some sort would be enough. But then again, i am (thankfully) not being paid to bring some sense into this mess.
  18. At this point, the complete GS management being utter idiots is as good an explanation for all of that as any other. You know how they say: Fool me once... ..... Yeah. Tell everyone who needs to know about what kind of company GS is and what they did.
  19. I can sell you a ton of skunk feces for only 1$. It's a steal at that price for what you get. If you give me your shipping address, i can send it to you today.
  20. What? Are you saying there is favoritism towards mega companies in this piece of crap game? Discovery points are fine. I think if you're only large enough as a tribe, you should of course be able to deny other people's each and every attempts at levelling up by placing enough defensive structures in key locations. The way i see it, if you were truly worthy of becoming level 2, you would be able to find your way around my 10.000 sniper towers of death to get to the discovery point on our island. There are plenty of highly successful other games out there, where a group of toxic sociopaths players is allowed to deny other people's progress, such as for example: ... Thank you for your attention.
  21. And that is the reason why i would not have ark on my PC even when it is free. Or any other crap any of these greedy, incompetent idiot companies they create will ever release in the future. Because now i know that they are incompetent idiots. It is not a mere assumption any longer. Atlas islands, too, are dozens of copies of only a handful of distinct island models. And regarding the "vast amount" of things you can do in atlas, lets do a quick recap of what end game consists of, shall we? * Breeding bears * Breeding turtles * Breeding elephants * Breeding dinosaurs This game had a lot of potential but then took a quick turn towards the dull and uninspired, along with an unfathomably stupid balance for pvp. The sooner this failed piece of shit disappears without leaving a trace, the better.
  22. How about the devs gave some reason for positivity instead of doing the exact opposite?
  23. Make the game be actually any good People continue buying the game because it is good. There is plenty of examples for this. ??? Profit Atlas is a dead and forsaken wasteland because it delivers a truly staggeringly shitty experience. It once had potential, but that was thwarted by boneheaded design decisions. Suggesting to bring out paid DLCs to make yet another cash grab, from the people who already paid for this crap, for a game that couldn't be any further away from what it was promised to be, is just plain unethical. Or i could just be too angry to catch any far too subtle sarcasm here. If they had made the game suck less for great a many of players, they wouldn't even be in this awkward position to begin with. Now they shall fuckin lay in the bed they made themselves!
  24. Just get a refund while you still can. If you are either just starting out or you don't have a full tribe of 50 people or both of the above this game is clearly not made for you. Also, if you ever need to log out for more than 30 minutes, EVER, be prepared for having to start all over again every time. Hate the game, not the players.
  25. Maybe the No Man's Sky devs are just having the great comfort of having players that simply are hardcore™ enough for their likings. Not like the whiny bunch of sissies that we are, apparently. The game is not utter crap, it's us being too weak to get any fun out of it. You have to violently pry your fun from out of this pile of bugs, just like you would when trying to squeeze juice from a rock. Any sarcasm found in this post is purely coincidental.
