  1. NA PVE E10 During construction I took out a couple rows of walls and turned around to see 3 columns of missing ceiling tiles on the complet e opposite side of the building. Earlier it did the same thing to about 20 triangular ceiling tiles, some of which had been attached directly to a cliff platform.
  2. Please put in some way to monitor the vitals of shoulder mounted pets. The seagull, for example, would be great for diving since it helps your oxygen consumption, but you gamble on it dying every time you take it underwater with you, since there's no way of checking its current oxygen level and no warning if it's running low.
  3. Considering the (lack of) transparency we've grown accustomed to over the course of many patches, I wouldn't hold my breath about clear communications going forward.
  4. A majority by definition is more than half. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/majority https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majority
  5. Man, our public education system is worse than I thought if there are people who think 23% is a majority.
  6. I believe I've gotten them in the northeast tundra as well. Not shoveled, from trees as the local thatch.
  7. Firstly, early access usually means having an advantage over people who wait till launch. Second, we're not just talking about infrastructure. We're talking about total character progression wiped out. Rebuilding bases and fleets is trivial; repeating hundreds of hours of grinding levels and discoveries isn't.
  8. So wipe out the claims. Don't punish the entire player base for the cheaters, and don't "reward" those decent players who have been soldiering on through all the glitches, bugs, etc. by throwing away everything we've built. I was miffed when exploiters sunk our ships, but we rebuilt. I was annoyed when we lost upgraded gear to blueprint-conversion and other glitches, but we made them over again. If we have to restart from scratch after all that, just because the devs say so, I'm done.
  9. We lost an elephant today. It had been on the ship for days just fine, and crossed multiple servers without issue. We anchored and unloaded a couple of bears, and when we got back to the ship, the elephant was flying way out of reach and a bit further from the island than the ship. Tried whistling follow for it to get back on the ship and it vanished. Swam out to where it was, thinking maybe it fell into the water, but no sign of it other than the feces it apparently dropped while floating. 30 seconds or so later, got the notification that it was killed.
  10. Exactly. I'm fine with having to wait a short while to fast travel, but it would be nice if there was some indication of when it is safe, rather than guessing and risking losing good gear.
  11. Having also collected a lot of maps, I think half might be an overestimation (or you've gotten really unlucky), but agree that it tends to be the higher level ones.
  12. We had the same experience with trying to shoot at whales with ballistae; we ended up having to aggro them with a carbine, at which point the ballistae would start hitting.
  13. Nah, you need some Beary White to really set the mood.
  14. For some reason, I am unable to craft small crop plots. I have all the required materials in my inventory (and then some). I have the required skill - I can make fertilizer, which requires the same skill. I have tried crafting by pressing "E" and by right clicking and choosing "Craft One" (I also tried "Craft All" and "Craft Custom" just in case) - nothing works.
  15. Yeah, no. We've gotten map spawns fully or half inside cliffs, on every possible incline, in the middle of groves of trees/bushes, etc. If you've only ever gotten them in easy, free, clear areas, congratulations on your luck.
  16. This started happening when they took sleeping bodies out of the game. Since your character no longer exists in the world when you're logged off, it will not move with the ship and you will log in exactly where you left off. You need to stow your gear and fast travel to another location before logging off now.
  17. We've been documenting this for a while. Please upvote: We've noticed that things tend to do this more in large storage boxes and have started storing all our gear in smithies. No idea if that will work long term, but nothing has converted that we've put in a smithy yet. We're also just avoiding making the super expensive crafts until they deal with the issue (it has been acknowledged at this point).
  18. While I don't hate the idea of a craftable elixir, they should absolutely not attach it to the end of the Medicine tree. The whole point of having choices as to skills is eroded if something that is absolutely essential to play the game depends on having an entire tree (bonus bad points if that tree derives from yet another tree, as Medicine does). Beyond that, Medicine as it is now is completely worthless, so all points spent getting to the essential elixir skill would be wasted. Now, if Medicine were retooled to be more alchemical in nature, with various craftable buff-giving items, having a "Life Elixir" or something of that nature could make sense. That would also make the transition from Cooking make more sense. However, I still think if they went that route, there should be an option for those who did not want to go down that skill tree, such as keeping the FoY in game.
  19. Most of the food that says it gives orange (C) does it in a trickle. It's not obvious, but it will increase slowly over the course of the digestion. Also, most of the cooked foods do not simply give increases; they stabilize vitamins to a certain level. If your vitamins are already at that level, they will not increase. For example, if you eat rosemary chicken when your yellow (A) is high and your blue (D) is low, only the D will increase. It will even decrease your vitamin level if it's too high. This helps you satisfy hunger without overdosing on vitamins.
  20. I had this issue on my sloop for the longest time. The first 2 beds I put on disappeared but still showed up on the list when travelling. The third bed I added (which was the only one physically on the ship) didn't show up on the list until I tried to travel to one of the false beds and got the green screen - then all three would be listed and I could go to the real one (which I named to be able to distinguish it). This seemed to have been fixed when I added another bed, so now the first two, which no longer exist, are no longer listed at any point. The only thing I can think is that maybe adding a new bed forced the system to re-check the old ones? I'm hopeful that this will last, but there are still occasional glitches when fast travelling to any bed, and this seems to affect ship beds more.
  21. Were you out exploring for more than 4 days?
  22. Now they're not showing up at all, mounted or not.
  23. We just had 3 different maps (2 common, one fine) fail to show up in F12. Are maps just broken now?
