  1. If nobody from the community knows it, maybe officials could comment about the calculation? Shouldnt be that hard ??
  2. I searched alot of topics. But I could not find how the amount of claimpoints for a company in pve is calculated? 30 is the basic? And then ?
  3. Torpedos? Thats something I havent expected in a pirate game. How about some more "pirate" related content? When can we start building the Nautilus? Well im curious what other surprises wait for us in the may-mega-update.
  4. And one more point makes a big didfrence and needs to be seen. For Ark you easy could pkay ob private server or solo. For Atlas and the naval setting I think only the huge offical server works. I wonder why it doesnt work solo. Then only one server has to bee loaded at a time.
  5. Devs and players still seem to search for the right path between sandbox and and classic mmo, ships and tames, pvp and pve. As so often the truth lies somewhere in the middle. ARK had an very diffrent startposition because of the setting and the tame mechanic. Of course is the pirate setting hot. Alot are waiting for goog pirate games. They should let go the ARK element taming. I doubt it will work for this game, as it did for ARK. The main role here should be with ships and fortification. Different ships for different tasks. The role of the smaller dinos could be passed to the npc crew. Gathering b.e. For the survival aspect they should keep typical domesticated animals. Craft a rope, catch a animal with minigame, done. Cows, bulls, horses, chicken and dogs! Okay maybe Elephants. Parrot, Monkey and so on for cosmetic and small buffs. Rest of wildlife is to hunt. I love the gather, craft and build mechanics. Would like to see them stay. Atlas should go its own way, leave Ark behind, concentrade on a pirate world, with pirate stuff to do.
  6. I am happy about them at least considering our suggestions. I am happy for a claim system. Lets give it a try and when we tested it online thenlets get back in discussion. Thats how EA can work. I am concerned that sone settlement owners will abuse there "power" to keep anyone away from their island. But lets try out first! Its worth a try

  8. Thats alot of bs. All the big mmos like Guild Wars, WoW, SWtOR and so on habe much more pve players then pvp. The games with pure pvp like the most shooters dont last long. Look at Battlefield, CoD etc how often the get replaced. and if pvp is so great then go there and play. Pve needs more content. Since we paid for it to, we have the right to write our ideas too. I really dont care about pvp, tried it alot but the social behavoir is just to bad.
  9. PvP will get boring quite fast without more content too. And with the actual mechanics naval battles are minority, base raiding dominates. The effort to raid is an imbalance to defend a base. I bet the pve playerbase is needed for the finance. I could imagine a server mix too. I dont belive pve-players want typicall quests, but some more tools to get closer that was acutally advertised. We will see. I play since the ninethys and one thing is for sure. An idea alone dosnt make players stay. you need content thats worthy to invest time. Imo the actual content is way to less. Empty servers want help anyone. Coop-Pve Content is much more appreciated then pvp in the longterm. Its the future because pvp is ill of cheating, exploiting and unfair gameplay.
  10. Merchant ships to hunt. Trade routes that are patrolled by navy ships. Factions depending on biomes that have goods to sell and want goods from other factions. So you also could play as an merchant. Explorer missions, give us some loot for exploring goals. Like blueprints and gold or rare resources. let npc factions and cities grow and develop on base of the suport they get by players. suport meaning to do piracy for them (hunting other factions ships), deliver goods to them and transport their goods. Deliver resources etc. This way you could choose wich faction you want to support. If you have a good status they wint attack you. Every month the players get bonuses from factions with good reputation, depending on the overall development of that faction. This would add a nice contest without pvp. You should even be able to hire merchants for your transport, and then you will have to escort them. Add npc Pirates. Add escort missions for factions. Add Pirate npc bosses. Have a quest system in advance to spawn the boss (find him) at a certain area. Make them a challange for solos in the lower levels and for hole fleets in the endlevel. something i miss in pirate content is religions. let there be diffrent ones again based on factiones and biomes. let us build altars for buffs. let us kill or catch mythical creatures. Hide treasures not only on normal grounds but in caves, underwater or on board of npc ships. If I amagine piracy in those times, I would have indigenous tribes on island. some peacful with trade and some aggro. Let us populate our settlements with npc. Farmers, fishermen, prostitutes and so on. We most definitely need pups on the harbour. let us sell our drinks to sailors and pirates for gold. Noe thats a wishlist... sorry

  12. Bullshit, npc are great for solo, it makes it easy to sail ships by yourself. Do you alwas want to look for 3 to 4 other players only to leave harbour? Not really
  13. Not a bad Idea @UDO. I just hope they come up with a good Idea before the wipe, so we wont face to many wipes after that.
  14. I really would love to see citys build by players. dont allow builing in lawless and let the treasure maps be there. I hate when you cant dig it put because there a builudings. make the resources there higher, so it worthy to make gathering tours to lawless.
  15. thats why i suggest to limit the amount and range of autorepair and have a fair amount of mats to keep it runnin. I also fear spamming of pilars pr foundations.
  16. I knew they promised more then just piracy. But I didnt wanted to ask for everything at once . Especially the settlement and civ idea is great. But I cant see it working with the actual and upcoming claim system. And again I am not mad because it is not here yet. But I ask for more, alot more content. I believe this would bring back more people then a endcontend locked submarine.
  17. It is also made for pve. To have a nice playerbase you need both. This content would help the pvp eyperience too.
