  1. I get what you're saying but a server wipe would solve nothing. New structures would be built again (a lot slower since most people would end up quitting after losing everything) and the same issues would commence. PvE, unlike PvP has a serious issue with the fact that things won't be destroyed frequently, and this is simply a mechanic they need to figure out from a programmatic side. Wipes are not the answer. Claims also need to be seriously looked at as well. Claims only need login upkeep and this is a big issue. I can log in just to teleport bed to bed and keep my land for ~3 weeks for 5 minutes of effort? There needs to be some kind of upkeep/gold requirement to keep such things or it's going to get extremely overloaded. That's my thoughts anyways..
  2. Honestly, I'm probably alone here but: Charge daily gold for each claim...and an exponential amount for every claim vs company size (2 people and 25 claims? yeah...should be expensive...). You can set the size & shape (circle/square) of the claim (if no overlapping, different costs based on size) Sell gold for $$$ to continue to fund the game. It's pretty easy to get but there's tons of us that would happily and lazily toss money in for gold, and tons of players who would gladly trade resources for that gold (as they already do). Allow selling of land you've claimed with a simple "Sell" command where we can enter the amount. It still costs gold to upkeep so attempting to sell for too much would be stupid and it'd balance itself out or the person with too many claims would essentially go gold-broke. Otherwise I'm just going to sign into my claims every day to keep the timer pushing folks back from taking it...even if I have no intention of playing for a few days. Pretty stupid system. In fact I've been thinking about just finding islands, snagging claims all around, toss a bed and doing a morning routine of travelling to them all to keep them so I have an easy teleport around the atlas. Again, stupid, but the game encourages this behavior.
  3. We're about ready to call it as well. We want to play the game, and after having built a badass base and all, it is getting boring sticking around to constantly ensure everything is not stolen in case we lose our ship(s) (so we can rebuild). We'd invite others to our land to share and work together, but the server went from 45+ average to 4-15 people, and it's people who already own big pieces. Game is actually dead before we knew it....
  4. No reason anyone wouldn't agree except for the fact that the devs can barely keep up with common sense changes, let alone branching off on parallel rulesets. Also - this forum is oddly dead for the supposed ~20k ccu players online.
  5. We are still having this issue on PvE NA b11. Only 12 hours but I've heard of folks who have had this for days. Unbelievable.
  6. I know you guys have no idea what you're doing, or what is going on in your game, but many are completely unable to log in for 12-24+ hours now. I personally tried reinstalling, friends having same issues getting in as well in B11 PvE NA. Reinstalled battleeye as well, integrity, blah blah. I should note there were a couple times where we got in but you couldn't interact with anything (E), inventory would flicker, playercount not shown from escape. Completely broken. Hearing many others having this issue on both PvP and PvE. So we're going to lose claims, ships, tames, etc because we can't log in and the focus is (taking away balance from) stone crafting? Going to be a few of us joining the uninstall bandwagon (and not reinstalling, as if you care with your lined pockets) here very shortly I think. My image is not in crayon but still hoping you guys can figure it out @Jatheish
  7. Yeah it's honestly...a big F you to Grapeshot at this point. Spend 4 days building up ships and come back to this with a taunting message about them coming in with a galleon and sinking all the ships. Guess what? Our region went from always having 40+ people, to 3 online. Guess our ships aren't the only thing that's sinking. Notice how the forums are basically dead? Even reddit is slowing down. You guys failed responding to the key issues and it's costing the game's future rapidly. Terrible unfortunately for what had so much opportunity.
  8. I don't think so, not if they are pin-protected/locked at least. However, it really doesn't matter in the end....bit of a rant...There's other ways to get onto ships other than climbing up, especially if there's a group effort (I'm greyhat but it's obvious how folks can blackhat these kinds of things in the game). My goldfish came up with a better solution, as did the community in their compilation of ideas. Instead it feels like they are no better than Ark modders toying with only what they know, and unfortunately that lead to this 'fix' that resolves nothing and ended up causing even more problem. Most people getting stuck on ships are not even griefers but people checking designs out or just trying to get to their raft (which in freeports spawn in between other rafts when there are many, or even into eachother) Any amateur player knows this solution would not have worked simply based on either experience of being griefed, griefing, or the loads of details available about the methods of ship griefing on twitter, reddit, forum (both here and steam). But here we are. I'm far far less upset for myself than people losing armies of ships because of the devs ignorance and lack of discussion on the matter.
  9. So this was only funny because I managed to get a passer-by to hand me some shit to kill myself "Eat shit and die! Sharing is caring!". Very Simple Replication Sit in chair Logout Log back in... Hope someone passes by that can give you some shit to eat.
  10. Offline for a couple hours just to come back to this. Ladders were down as we were not aware of the exploit still being possible.
