  1. If any1 cares - that's how my SotD's destroyer looks like: It's just as simple as ti gets. - There is NOTHING in center because SotD's lands most of their damage there, and you'll just get tired of repairing and rebuilding all there. - There is no railings, half walls and other beautification, because they have so little HP, so you'll get tired of rebuilding and repainting all after each hunting mission. - Extra guns can be placed either in front or in back of ship, but I found front is the safest place and less damage goes there. - Back slope for ballistas against whales (now I took them off to save some weight. We done 2 whale quests). And steering wheel. It's also most simple to minimize risk of being thrown outboard. - Blue squares for better recognition of ceilings. Center ones are always get tons and tons of SotDs damage. I'm actually very proud that I DO NOT USE all ugly shotguns and extremely long and safe kiting tactics! Just boardside fights! Just HARDCORE! : ))
  2. I hunt SqotD with just a Regular Brig with 10 regular cannons each side. I took down more then 50 SotD's before wipe (highest one was lvl-36) and around 30 SotD's in this 1.5 (highest here so far was a Galley lvl-29). My point is - you never use automatic aim and automatic shoothing. You make sure - there is enough ammo in your ammo box (and box is not far from guns, if you use a Galley. For Brig I take with me 250-300 cannonballs in each hunting mission). You sail by SotD. You make sure you selected all groups of guns you needed (those down line of icons where 1 - front, 2 - left etc). And then you HOLD LMB and point it to the guns direction (for example if you sail by and SotD is left side, you select all left guns and if you put some extra to nose or stern they can count as front or back but you can change that. You HOLD LMB and point a cross to forward-left side of your ship, to the waters (I mean not to the horizon or skies). Cannons can turn left-right a bit, so within range of cannons you'll see white trajectory of your cannonballs and white circles of their hit areas. Then you aim. And when ready - you release LMB and click it immediately to fire. This way you able to see max range of your cannons, you can aim ahead etc. With 10 cannons battery - Brig oneshots Schooner of damned lvl-1 and lvl-2. And successfully fight all other. Right now my alpha-strike is 12k damage and with new damage skill and highest quality cannons it can be raised up to 20-30k (or maybe even 40k with mythic 200% damage cannons) per shot and successful hit.
  3. But 2x was till Monday 4pm ET... (they kept this extra day) And May of 3rd - is for livestream...
  4. Didn't know that. So that's mean ship with 124% quality (from our legendary shipyard) will get just 2 lvl more...?
  5. But they added 10-lvl more before even Anarchy patch, so it became 52... did they roll it back to 42?
  6. 1.5 required a wipe due to world redesign and mainly - due to new claim system introduced. If there wont be any of that - no wipe requires.
  7. 2day we finally joined the party and hunt for like 20 SotDs. Highest one we down was Galley lvl-29. 19) - We wrote here about the issue before but I'll write it again to make sure - DEVs are seeing this. When you battle high lvl SotDs (especially Galley) - you basically get your loot from just the last ship you down (all other are gone). Because fighting with well armored squad requires a lot of sailing and maneuvering and you either: a) - just lost the places where you destroyed all ships before (this is the ocean, you know, there is nothing just water around). b) - fight so long, so any other loot will just decay (our battle with last squad leaded by this lvl-29 Galley lasts for around 20 minutes). My suggestion here is simple. a) - Loot must be marked somehow. For example - shown on the map, or even lighten with pillar like your corpse, but with extended visibility. b) - Loot must exist a bit more. For 30 minutes for example (but I'm afraid, fighting with lvl-50 Galley will take longer). (I mean really! Imagine - you do hard work, you use your best tactic, and you get down one by one: SotD lvl-23, SotD lvl-26, SotD lvl-21 and finally SotD lvl-29. How happy you feel, knowing that you won't get anything from those 23, 26 and 21 damned ships? And maybe there was something valuable there?) 20) - When we down LVL-29 Galley, we... well were happy, because that was actually dangerous and epic battle. But no players even knew that our I2 grid became much safer place. There is option in settings menu, allows us to see - who join current region. What if there would be the same option allowing to turn on messages about SotD's being killed? Imagine, we fought with this dangerous fleet and after defeating it, after final blow there would be a message like: "player name" with his "ship name" ship just took down Galley of damned lvl-29" I mean there are not so many battles around (I didn't see any since EA Atlas released), and messages like that wont bother us a lot. But they can raise communication through region and will make place more friendly (If I would see this kind of message I would chat like: "wow, well done"). There is a benefit here also. If anyone defeats SotD, I can ask in a chat - what's there in a loot. Because sometimes players just drops outboard blueprints they won't need. 21) - Something wrong with ship leveling. Before lvl-31 all goes well. After that... well with weekend x2 bonus I took down: - Schooner of Damned lvl-3 and lvl-23 - Brig of Damned lvl-4 and lvl-26 - Galley of Damned lvl-1 After that I sailed around for an hour and only then I got +1 lvl, from lvl-31 to lvl-32. Is it suppose to be that long? Because with this state, with a lot of my battle missions I'll get my default lvl-51 in couple of months. And due to a lot of bugs this EA game has at the moment - probably never, because it's just fairly easy to loose your ship. Game crush and you done. Or as I mentioned above - ship will eject you to the ocean in the middle of battle - and you done. And yeah... my transport Schooner will hit it's default lvl-52 in... like... never?
  8. I do enjoy alot of player creativity, so I wish to see more colored and lightened vessels in the ocean. There are 3 pro-tips I could give: 1) - White painting DO NOT appears to ships body. All white, snow white, sky and all the same. So it's just waste of painting - trying to paint with this dyes (I would love to see white ships actually). 2) - Forest Green - doesn't work at all, due to a bug. 3) - You can attach hooks to ship surfaces, then put there a lanterns which are also can be painted by dyes. After that - you use a steering wheel, and then you press "O" by default control, then press "O" again after a sec - and all lights you attached to a ship this way, lights up. You press "O" again to turn them off. As for colors - I use simple formula: 1 main color + 1 secondary color + 1 lines color. Where: Main - is for ship body, deck, masts, ceiling, side logs in stairs etc. Best colors here are Orange, Navy, Watercourse Green and all black palette (all those blackcurrants etc). Secondary - for stripes on planks, side of decks, sails, steppes on ladders, etc. Sometimes I don't use "lines" color and all from this section also counts as "secondary" Lines - for just inner square line in gunports and ropes around masts, and those small metal rushes from the down side of ceilings and railings etc. I mean - there is so little of that color needed. Secondary and Lines - can be any colors you like but I totally didn't like bright cyan, green and magenta ones. Too vivid for me. And... I sometimes do it a little wrong, but mostly is like that. Few current examples. My far-fast-transport Schooner. Watercourse Green as main color and Orange - as secondary (I painted masts here with secondary and sails with main). My current battle Brig. Navy - as main. Cantaloupe (orange) as secondary. Cerulean as "lines" and I painted sails with this cerulean blue also. P.S. - You never attache wall hooks with lanterns to a masts of your battle ship. Because you'll just get tired of creating and attaching new hooks and lanterns to a masts after each battles. They are just way easy to destroy and SotDs are always happy to : )
  9. Hm... that means I do it right. Thx. I actually a bit surprised to see 126 lvl. Before wipe I maxed my crew, and they all hit just lvl 32. I brought one more bug which is actually persist from the beginning. 18) - "Hot" or "Cold" debuffs sometimes travels with you through the border and stays forever. It's like you go from Desert where you was in HOT state to Tundra and no mater how chilly is there - after cross you'll have this "hot" debuff and your pathfinder erotically moan - for ever. It also can happen with all other states - you can be overheated in Tundra, or cold, or freezing in +30'c Dessert. In this state this debuff actually don't do anything. You not dying and you don't have higher food/water decay. It's just an debuff icon (which sometimes confuses you) and you forced to listen how your pathfinder suffers. The only way to end this - put your hero to any other state. Like you have this "hot" you need to jump into Tundras waters where it's always freezing. Then this debuff is gone. But... well...seriously, you cannot stop you ship each time you crossing in far travels for ocean jumping right? Especially with some glithchy grids and not working well ladders (and sharks etc). p.s. - screen above - is from "before wipe" village. We now have better one but the same spot I2 Millertown.
  10. While it's not hard to kill em (I already sunked 20 of them and I do it without louvers designs or kiting tactics) and IMAO - right now the fight is way more interesting than before - the LOOT problem is here. Especially in high-lvl fights. And of course for Galley fighters. Because you sail and maneuvering a-lot (and Galley-guys have to do 1-2 minutes full sail straights). You basically get loot from last SotD you sink because you can not find all other or because long fight - they just gone. Something needs to me done about this. For example - loot flotsams need to be marked somehow (like on the map, or even with light pillars like corpse but with extended visibility). And It has to live long enough so you have tame to fight all fleet, then sail to each flotsam and then dive and gather them.
  11. Little play-day so not much for today but... ...I BROUGHT A GOOD NEWS! 1st abandoned ship near our base IS GONE! So the system with decay of abandoned ships working! (I don't think the owner decided to get his ramshake back). Decay time is around 2 weeks. 17) - Today I lost one of my crew member. We were on our swimming from Schooner to my new Brig and suddenly pay period came. Guy just stopped underwater so near to my Brig, so I just couldn't get him a gold. His head was inside a Brig and body - underwater. Game counted this as underwater state, and because guy was so close to ship, "E" didn't do anything. I tried all sides from underwater. I tried from inside Brig. Then his oxygen out and he died. My point is - DEVs should change this so if guy underwater and suddenly payday hit him, he should move himself up to surface. Right now this looks childish and stupid like "I need money right now and I'll stay RIGHT THERE until I get what I deserve". And he stays - no mater what. I mean... if there would be a volcano in game, guys could stop there in the middle of it as well right?
  12. You need to die. After resp - all must work well. Things happening with different construction from time to time. (I once couldn't create wooden wall, while guy in my island couldn't create smithy).
  13. Before wipe my neighbors bein attacked by those trolls company. They tried to block the ships in port and spammed everything with their foundations around guys base. So my neighbors just opened a ticked in this forum (support section) and after a hour or so - all foundation were erased by admins (unfortunately those bastards-trolls sunk one ship somehow and admins couldn't bring em back).
  14. 12) - Just wanna make sure DEVs reading this - ships randomly throw players to the ocean. Imagine I fight high lvl SotD's they do a leaks in my ship and I CAN NOT MOVE, I can not go to repair it because if I do so - there is a huge risk I'll find myself into the ocean and my ship will stop. That's what actually happened. I mentioned it here. I can't find a words how mad I'm about the situation. I built a Brig, then lost it to the bug (it hit invisible wall near whale and the only way out was actually through the whale). Then I built a Brig to my brother. Then he lost it when game crushed. Then I built Brig to my brother. Then I built a Brig for myself and I lost it in a link above. And guess what? I'm building another Brig. I'm not here to play Brig Constructor, you know? BTW, asking to players-guys. Any advice - how to build a ship design to minimize risk being thrown to waters? 13) - Somehow I can not hire more then 9 crew. After that new member just wont appear until those I hired already hit lvl-2 or higher. After I up them, I can hire new members, but this limit - 9 lvl-1 crew is always there. Not sure if things are planed like that for some purpose, or this is just a bug as well? 14) - After I hire crew - they stays in following state for ever. Even if I put them to ship stations - they stays in "following" state. I need to unseat them and then hit "behavior -> disable following" twice. 15) - If I put Alloy to resources box, it wont shows up in my repair-hammer resources window. It correctly shows all resources I have in box, but alloys stays at "0". Cannons are repairable with hammer anyway, even if it shows red "0" alloys 16) - And few words about foggy Tundra. I fine with all weather challenge, but there is just too much of fog. It's happen 3-5 times per day. It's like that: - I enter H2 for treasure. After a minute - fog landed. - I get to the island, and fog is gone. - I get treasure, went back to the ship - new fog wave landed. - I sail to another island for treasure, and fog is gone before my arrival. - I was digging my 2nd treasure - when 3rd wave of fog landed. - I got my business ashore, gather resources, refill vitamins, and when fog is gone - I departured. - Before I hit the border 4th wave of fog landed... I was in my I2 region and checked for just regular weather making notes to my notepad and guess what? I checked 24h period an clear weather lasts for just 7 ingame hours. All other 17 hours was fog (x4), rain (x1), coldwave (x1). snowfall (x1). (I count heatwave in Tundra as comfort regular weather so I don't count this one).
  15. It's like that. I spend 3 days to prepare my battle Brig for a mission. - I built it and even painted it It's not just about planks and sails. - I built 20 cannons, and alot of cannonballs. Also extremilly expensive ballistas and 200 spears for Whales hunting. Also full equipment - storage boxes, ammo boxes, grills, mess tables etc. - I hired crew, created more than 60 pieces of their armor and then painted it (imagine what pain is that to apply more than 300 dyes to clothes?) - I did around the world travel for treasures to get gold for my crew and lvl up my Brig. And then, after a 3 days, when all was ready, ammo loaded, stats upped, I went my first SqotDs hunting. Guess what happened in this first fight? I made JUST A SINGLE STEP from my steering wheel to repair the leak, and next second I found myself here: While I was chasing my stopping Brig, 3 SotDs (from 23 to 30 lvl) just stopped by and sunked it. GG WP. HOW THE HELL I SUPPOSE TO FIGHT THEM, if my ship just throwing me outboard? DEVs seriously - YOU NEED TO FIX THIS ASAP, there were more than 2 weeks left since 1.5 and I still didn't join the fight, thx to all bugs you brought with this mega update and... ...seriously. I'm getting tired of playing "Sims-2" and "construct your ship" game.
  16. 8 ) - Hmmm... yeah I've been attacked by SqotD (one of ship there was lvl-20). It happened in I3 FREEPORT (top-right corner) . Just curious - are those guys suppose to be there, or it was a buggy-bug? 9) - Crew leveling. Since the beginning - I was just couldn't get - what should I put in their stats. - Should it be health, so they will be around 130hp in their 32lvl? Why? They just keep their duty on ship, and never looses hp. - Should it be food? So they eat like and elephant at their 32lvl? But food is always in Mess Table on the ship. - Should it be oxygen? But they never go diving, just on duty to the ship. - Should it be weight? But they never carry anything. (There is a bear or horse for that). - Should it be mele-damage? But I never take them to fight. (There is a bear for that). I usually just put 2 point to food, and all other - to healht. But... well, I don't understand why lvl-system this like actually exists in game. It basically just doesn't do anything. It needs to be reworked somehow, so stats would increase ship controlling, cannon fire, or gold/food consumption aspects. And yeah - there is a bug. When crew-guy on station (sail, or gun, or steering), if you put stats in him - they doesn't show up. 10) - Little cosmetic feature I would love to see. Right now tames either wandering or staying. They stays and stays and stays for hours and hours. Imagine how difficult their life this way? So I would really LOVE to see they sitting or lying, during long periods of inactivity... how gr8 would be to see bear lying in your deck in far travels? 11) - While you on full sails and walking through the ship, it still can randomly throw you outboard.
  17. The craziest thing for me is I drawing a map with servers (girds) that working like that: So far I visited 56 grids and only 40 of them works smooth and 40-ping. 14 - are like in a video above. 2 - just slightly glitchy. So when I find a treasure map - I first check my map to see, if treasure is on the laggy server. I abandon alot of them : )) (I actually HAD TO abandon my first base and move, because I built it in glitchy server).
  18. After a while I going to write some marks about the game I put in my notepad. More to come I guess. 1) - Not sure why DEVs removed alphas from Lawless, but I sometimes miss it. First our base (before wipe) we had to create defense lines, swivels, walls against them, and we had to communicate our neighbors to warn or ask for help (It's really grows friendly atmosphere in area). Right now they are gone, and this aspect of game within lawless guys is gone too. 2) - I built a Legendary Shipyard. So right now I have to guess how many more lvl to my ship is added right? And yeah - all blueprints has their different stats, randomly generated and I once got mythic cannon with beyond imagination 100% damage. Does it work this way with shipyards? Maybe I built legendary one and it has a lot of health and +0 to max ship lvl??? : )) 3) - Rope ladders work worse and worse every day. Right now I can successfully climb just one time from around 20-30 attempts. Most of time my pathfinder climb not up and down but forward and backward on a sea lvl. Sometimes after he moves forward and hit lower plank with his head he warp to the deck. Imagine - I run from angry bloody alpha lion, I'm about to be safe, I just need one jump and one climb. And I jump, I clinging to the ladder, and instead climbing I start to move around it... Lion was happy, he tied apron, put fork and knife from his pocket then ate me. 4) - Forest green dye still doesn't work. 5) - When I first went to battle mission I realized that my cannonballs trajectories (those white bow lines with circles at the end) are gone. So now I don't understand - how to perform sea battles. Before that I was able to shoot ahead, to aim correctly. Now I just see the only marker, which is attaching to enemy ship. Is this a bug? Or this trajectory is switched off? Or maybe it's somewhere in skills? Is there a way to bring it back? UPD: I resloved this. DEVs just changed buttons, so they now within LMB Hold. 6) - I also noticed that sometimes equilibrium buff goes through the border. Sometimes it doesn't. Any information - why it sometimes stays there, after a crossing? 7) - Not sure about you guys, but I found really annoying going for treasure to the grids where are couple of similar island located. It's just another way to waste your time, go ashore, run to treasure location, realize - it's on the different island, then run back and sail there. Good thing if location is visible from the ground - sometime it's on the highest monstrous cliff, that you can not climb that easily. So you spend a hour or so to climb there, to see - there is noting. I wish, there would be at least some marks in map - to which island I should go...
  19. The weather itself is fine actually. Bad thing about weather in PvE - it's not affecting the "E" totally. All whales, ghost ships - they see through the fog, they run full speed counterwind, they don't care about wind changes in storm, they enter funnels. They don't die in heatwaves. They don't freeze to death. Right now it's not about weather adds you more difficulty, but it's about weather give ghost ship an advantage. You cannot fight during the fog, during the storm, during the RAIN WHEN -30'С in arctic. While they can - as it's nothing happening around. You sail through the fog. Suddenly you see cursed cannonballs shooting you. How fair is that? And yeah, one more thing. The lighthouse. Right now it's just useless monstrous cosmetic feature. While it would shine through the fog during the night (you know in real life in aviation - runway lights during the night can increase visibility from 200 up to 800).
  20. It's now 35-34 per lvl I guess. The reason - more islands = more DP. As for me... well all islands are the same basically, a lot of discoveries are like that: (you see any interesting things here? No? But this is discovery, named "Best Place for Signal). It's double as weird because sometimes you see old statues or, for example, cool waterfall in cave and this is NOT a discovery. I do understand that there is about 900 islands and it's a huge work to place more than 900 interesting things there (don't forget we are EA now) but, anyway. DEVs just force players to travel to the same island and look for just a regular places, with uniqe names... not gr8 adventure, not a gr8 experience, as for me.
  21. 17 ppl in I2 Lawless Tundra. We took our old spot in Millertown and while there are just a single base and few bear-traps around, all other islands are growing (especially Neeval, there is just a HUGE base growing there).
  22. They fixed this with anarchy patch. Did it get back?
  23. But I found my Brig turns way faster tho : )
  24. I found myself fighting high lvl SqotDs, and then get loot from the very last ship I sank. Because with alot of maneuvering and maintenance sailing, you simply loose all wrecks you made. And it's just with BRIG. With Galley things even worse, because fighting on it requires long 1-2 minutes full speed sailings, before turns. And you will loose most of your loot. Solution is simple. Loot must be marked somehow. On a map, or with light pillars same as from your corpse or treasure map.
