  1. This poll tells me that +75% of pve players want limited claims (49% - 1 claim/person, 27% - more than 1 claim/person) https://www.playatlas.com/index.php?/forums/topic/53160-poll-who-wants-an-island/
  2. You can speak for me as well Unclemike, as I share your opinion. I spoke up on this issue enough to sound like a broken record, so I stopped....no one was listening.
  3. Well I'm open to anything as long as it doesn't have me living under someone else.
  4. The more I read, and the more I think about it....I have to agree. I really didn't have an issue with removing claims as long as they were able to deal with the foundation/pillar spam. The system they propose now is completely wrong for PVE and does not solve the issue of people finding their OWN piece of land to build on. It works for people who expect to be land owners, but that is not the majority of your player base. I'm confident that most people would rather build on lawless than build on land controlled by someone else.
  5. Taxes are not necessary because settlements are not necessary in PVE.
  6. I agree with this completely. They need to address the communities concerns in one central place....the official forums. Otherwise why is the forum even here? They need one official channel of communication.
  7. Even if there was no tax, I would still have no interest in living on someone else's land.
  8. If you want to add PVE aspects to PVP, that's fine. Just don't do it at the expense of PVE players. We like our servers without the PVP content.
  9. Agreed. PVE wants nothing to do with PVP.
  10. Agreed. PVE wants nothing to do with PVP.
  11. Good landlord or bad landlord, I don't want one...period. I am not looking for "renters protections" either. I just want a piece of land for myself. For me, PVE is about doing my own thing without any other player having any power whatsoever over how I decide to play the game.
  12. I think more people will leave because of an even worse claiming system. Renting for a lot of people is not an option...we do not want to live under someone else's rule (that's a pirate thing isn't it?). And I for one wouldn't go unofficial because the maps are too small. I would just stop playing....unfortunately.
  13. ROTFL Thank you, that's the funniest thing I've read this week!
  14. That's why I don't sit in Discord all day hoping that I'll catch one of them on. That's why I respond to posts in the forums....so the devs can see the conversations that are happening throughout the day, not just from the people who happen to be online when they are.
  15. I'm usually not one for picking on devs, but they seem to be taking one step forward, two steps back, then shooting themselves in one of their two left feet.
  16. "We received an extensive amount of feedback from the PvE community regarding our upcoming changes. The overwhelmingly clear message was a desire to retain some form of a claiming system." The overwhelmingly clear message that I've been hearing is to keep the current claiming system in place while adding limits to them. I only wish someone was listening.
  17. I have said it time and time again....I have zero interest in building under someone else's rule. I want a piece of land to call my own. If they used the old/current claim system with limitations on number of flags, I see no issue in being able to find a piece of land to claim. Especially since they are also adding 200+ islands did they say?
  18. These pve changes are just pushing me out the door....and I don't want to go. The one flag per island just forces people to build under someone else's rule. I have zero interest in that, but as a solo player that's what I'll be forced into. Unfortunately, after 800+ hours, I don't see myself playing this game any more if that's the case. I do not understand what was wrong with the old system if you are adding islands, and were to limit claims to something like 1 per player....or some type of tweak that makes it work. The biggest problem with that claiming system was people claiming entire islands to themselves. There ended up being no land (or very little) available to claim. Please rethink this. You say you listen to the community, and on one hand you do....you are keeping the claiming system. But you are not listening to the community on what they want in a claiming system, because we have told you time and time again, in multiple posts, by multiple people, that we want the old system with limits. I would rather have no claiming system at all than the one you propose.
  19. It may work for that game, but that doesn't mean that the pve players of this game want any part of it. I would not want it added to the existing pve servers, and to add a third type of server to the mix would stretch out an already struggling player base (numbers wise) over 6 servers instead of 4.
  20. 1. Yup 2.Yup 3. Nope. This would mean that people on pve servers would have to sail around zones to avoid pvp zones. Bringing any kind of pvp to pve is a bad idea in my books. 4. This COULD be a good idea, but until we see the repair boxes in action it's hard to tell.
  21. You could be teleported back to your original position after the task is done. Before dismissing ideas, it would be helpful to try and figure out how it COULD work.
  22. I say no to all these ideas. PVE doesn't need to be more difficult, it needs more content that WE initiate. Not content that we are forced into because we're being attacked.
  23. Definitely, yes. They announced it in their live stream. All servers are being wiped of everything....you will need to start a new character.
  24. There's no reason why they couldn't add in teleporting people to the same location. That would be part of the system.
