still not a mmo and probably never will be.

its survival sandbox like rust or ark but with focus on sea combat (well atleast that is the vision). atlas is NOT an mmo atm. MMO = Massive Multiplayer Online. 150 Players per server IS NOT MASSIVE.

the fact that the landowner can demolish your stuff whenever he wants is a huge motivation problem for me and probably many others. we know this community is extremely toxic and so will be most of the landowners. lets face it, the toxic nolife nerd kids will be the first on the island and claim it. how many islands are on the map right now? i have no clue but lets say its 1000 islands. we know they will add new islands/biomes with the patch so we get probably a few hundred more. lets say we will have 1200 islands. on patchday alot of players will try atlas again and we will probably see 50k+ people online. 1200 landowners and 48800 taxslaves. GREAT CONCEPT! *facepalm* ANSWER ME THIS QUESTION: WHY SHOULD I INVEST ALL MY TIME TO BUILD SOMETHING NICE ON A PIECE OF LAND THATS NOT MINE AND COULD BE DEMOLISHED ANYTIME JUST BECAUSE THE LANDOWNER GETS JEALOUS, IS A TOXIC KID OR SIMPLY DOESNT LIKE ME? even if the landowner is a friendly person at the beginning. he could just wake up one morning and say "haha fuck this game i quit but before that lets drop all others on my island and demolish everything hahaha". YOU KNOW THIS SHIT IS GONNA HAPPEN

without giant under water cave systems to explore the sub is almost useless. so much potential but no its not gonna happen its oceanic ark after all. imagine the under water world of subnautica in atlas, dreams that will never come true

the new claim system will be worse than the old one. every island will be controlled by big companys. all small companys and solo players will be killed on sight.

they should change the whole company crap into a faction system. something like planetside factions.

yep stupid post. my home zone had max 5 people online before the wipe information for weeks the wipe will help the game for sure. the information has now 1 month time to spread and more people will here about it. i expect even big streamers play again at the big patch

yea. stop crying guys. it HAS to happen. its early access and it will be good for the game. you cannot make a huge change of the claim system without a server wipe. if its true that only 1 flag per island and no sea flags then i hope the 1 landflag has a bigger radius than the old ones and maybe not a circle? squares are better

sorry i just come back home. what is happening now. WHEN is the serverwipe? RIGHT NOW or soon?? you fucked it up hard if you wipe now without warning DAYS before the wipe. YOU CANNOT JUST WIPE WITHOUT SAYING ANTHING FOR WEEKS. YOU NEED TO GIVE PLAYERS TIME TO PREPARE

i have no big dreams because i have no hope for this game. but i always want minigames in big games like this or gta5 or whatever. i am big fan of poker sooo i want a good multiplayer poker minigame in EVERY big game i play(and i never get it ).

i agree cobras glitch through everything but i dont think this is high on the priority list for the devs

use tigers to defend your tame. 2-3 kill everything even alphas

there is a solution for this. i think its pretty easy to change the grids(for the devs). just switch all grids random to a new position and everyone knows nothing again. i see only one big problem and that is the freeport lag and the fact that servers cant handle more than 50 people. other mmos like world of warcraft have "phasing" for this problem
