  1. PvP is basically how hard can you cheat without getting caught ~Lotus
  2. Doesn't work for me cause I don't want to deal with the cheaters. So maybe a character reset to level 1 when they come in then... maybe. ~Lotus
  3. Why would they add a penalty for grouping? It's an MMO -_- ~Lotus
  4. For PvP not for PvE. PvE would stay gold. PvP is supposed to be about ship vs ship combat and such. It's basically a bunch of hackers cheating to kill each other though. ~Lotus
  5. I rather have factions in PvE like Damned invading islands and then an empire faction we are sided with to go fight them off and that would be dailies and the damned would rotate and so you could have hot spots like the invasions in WoW. ~Lotus
  6. Eve was a play time = advantage though like the skills and stuff were time gated which was a way to milk money to me which is why I only played it for a month. It was just bad ~Lotus
  7. I think they are getting left on cannons. That is just player mistake though ~Lotus
  8. Polar used to be way harder too. Like yeti's were terrifying. It was so cold like full fur with 2-3 fires at night cold. I remember having to plan out fights with alpha's like it's a boss fight. Now it's just a speed bump worth more EXP, except rhinos and bears, cause rhinos OP. NERF RHINOS THEY ARE SO OP I CAN'T 1v1 IT WITH MY PISTOL GRAPESHOT DOESN'T CARE IT'S ALL JAT'S FAULT! ~Lotus
  9. According to the forums people quit because of cheaters more than it's boring. So I proposed this a while ago and people thought it was stupid but I will throw the idea out there again. I believe that PvP should have the safe zone thing all the time. Your island will be paid for with badges instead of gold. The badges are earned through going into a battleground or arena and fighting other teams. You pay gold to enter into the arena and can basically play until you lose. The gear/boat you bring in will not come back out though it's play till you die. So you can queue up things like a 1v1 schooner or 2 schooners, 2 brigs, and a galley vs an equal team or whatever. This would bring new life into the sea combat without it being a random thing it's now basically forced. You could also have some ground fights with tames or whatever just queue up and fight for badges. You earn your badges and pay for your flag if your flag runs out of badges your island unclaims and somebody with badges can take it. You would also give badges a spoil time so people can't just amass them. That way people have PvP when they want it no offline crap no stupid sieges. No more oh they have more people. ~Lotus
  10. And that is if you can find them all need to look in the grass and behind trees and in the water and on cliffs... You also need to be able to hold E on them which I know a few ways to make that pretty hard to do which also needs to be fixed. ~Lotus
  11. They quit because the game's PvP format is just bad. We have plenty of people to play with on PvE so nothing to gain. People are quitting because of low Pop on PvE? Where are you getting your information from? We have people on break cause there's no content cause the dev's spend too much time dealing with all the cheaters and exploiters on PvP. ~Lotus
  12. Or I can play PvE and not deal with it. Atlas falls into 2 of the types of PvP games I won't play. Atlas is a time invested = advantage type game. There's no problem with that but it's not the type of game I would play. I prefer to start a match on equal footing then have a match of skill not oh you have 40 levels on me so I have a disadvantage. The other type of PvP game I won't play is one where cheaters are not punished severely. I understand that not everybody is going to be good and they don't like the way that makes them look. So they download hacks or use exploits to get an advantage because they want to be able to win. To me that is pathetic but what I was taught as right and wrong as a child is not what others were taught. Where I draw the line is that the players were not permabanned. Recently they had the exp execution glitch that was abused a lot. I' heard some players went from 50 to 100+ in about 2 hours. The response was to lower people to 100. That is still a free 50 levels. Not interested. Things I don't like but accept are that there's caps on how big a tribe can be. If a group wants to be 1500 members and a bunch of 20 man tribes want to ally and fight of the evil empire hell yeah that is exciting. I also don't like how sluggish combat is in this game it's really low APM stuff. A group of us went to PvP after we ran out of content and it was fun for some of us but the majority didn't like it and just went back to PvE. ~Lotus
  13. The way we fix this is to put our boat right next to their boat then jump on top of the tame and hold E then it should say move to ship. You need to be really close to the other boat to make it work. The other thing you can do is to try and clip a piece of your boat like a ceiling into their boat so you can catch your crab then jump it out. Which company/server is it? ~Lotus
  14. We tried no dice I even made a tiny shipyard cause it's basically a dingy dock, no dice. My next step will be to try to breed them. ~Lotus
  15. You realize that crew cost decreases when you take them off your stations right? So cut that number in half roughly. You should also have a few points in accommodations so you have a few more beds it also increases pay times by like 30 minutes per 1 point or something (I don't exactly how much cause I don't worry about gold to me it's just a bed I know it does help though also with food.) They increased the gold from floatsoms and wrecks and if you really want I will buy the music sheets from you for 200g per difficulty. That is 600g for a hard sheet! This leads me to a serious question though. Is 100 gold a lot of gold to some people? ~Lotus
  16. They need to make it so it says ok there's X amount of Y creature and populate based on that. That way if the area has no wolves then it will spawn more wolves. This could make it easier to force rotate spawns but at the same time prevent the early days where that horse ran by and you knew you were about to die cause horses were the heralds of death with their pack of 20 wolves behind them -_- ~Lotus
  17. The game has that set up already the owner needs to set it that way. Maybe you should join a tribe that operates with that? So the communist state you are stuck in is self inflicted. Exactly when people go into a tribe with a mine and yours mindset they are generally parasites to that group. They are in there for personal gain and want to use the tribe with minimal contribution. This is another reason why building on claimed islands should be set to allies only. Dollie wiped a company for doing that. The game is PvP first then adapted to PvE until PvE becomes the dominant population it will always be this way. (Which sucks ) They are making it so you can unclaim ships they are just working out a few kinks with it because that is a very powerful mechanic to have in the game. With that you could set it up so somebody splitting off would not be that bad. ~Lotus I wouldn't do that, unless you are a tyrant then sink his ship infront of him while the tribe watches to set an example. Seriously though don't do that. Need to be firm but giving it helps to remain in good standing with everybody. ~Lotus
  18. That isn't a new form of griefing. It's an old form of griefing They need to make it so you can't anchor near nonallied boats. The new meta for griefing is... in a private message to Jat -_- ~Lotus
  19. Where did you get this information from? The whole island system was for PvP to prevent naked flagspam harassment. PvE was going to get the everything decays but on non-lawless you would feed resources into a box that auto repaired your structure which caused an outcry because it was worse than the other claim. They needed to remove the old claim system from PvE because there were atleast 3 ways you could forcibly remove a claim flag, regardless of upkeep, which to my knowledge was never fixed they just introduced this new system which makes it so you can't do it. (You might be able to do 1 of them but I don't care to try). If the company of 3 has the points they should be able to have their island. I do also believe that the upkeep needs to be raised to that the owners have to pay more to keep their islands to prevent a company of 3 that did a member trade can't hold an island they shouldn't have. The dev's favor PvP and PvE is an afterthought. With that in mind we will have the PvP systems implemented then adapted for PvE which is why they just gave a window. I personally don't want to play against other players right now, with that in mind I don't want to to have to deal with somebody doing stupid crap every day. ~Lotus
  20. I never trust people that demand admin I give it when I feel people need it to do things not because they just want it. What does he need admin for? He can't be in the tribe and unclaim then reclaim tames. To me it seems he is going to just make a mess. I would remove him and then offer him his stuff ASAP rather than letting it drag on and cause headache for others in the tribe. There's never a good time to do stuff like that and it sounds like what he is doing is causing the game to not be fun for you. It's one of the crappy parts about being the leader but if he's being irrational he becomes a threat to everybody in the tribe's stuff and that just isn't worth it. ~Lotus
  21. No the problem with that system was like the company of 3 that had 75 claims. If people want to set their land to everybody cool but I would like to prevent people from setting traps all over the place. That is not the point of this game. If I wanted to fight people I would PvP not on this game though cause PvP is just full of cheaters. This game does not have the technology for a player prevention at this time. You can change your company ID by making a new company then just merging it. The further from Ark's trash land management system this game gets the better it gets. A 1x1 is pretty cheap even a 2x2 is cheap and easy to make. The only way a freebuild would work is if they have enough GM's on staff. With that said this game isn't really making sales so where does that money come from? I've bought the game for a few people and they won't even install it cause of how bad the reviews are. That is more about how cheaters go unpunished. Enable ally only build stops the foundation spam on PvE. For PvP you can just kill them and blow up their stuff. The reason they arn't banned is because they don't really have technology to catch cheaters in mass. Battleye is a joke imo but I compare it to Blizzard's Warden which was several millions of dollars to make. You can't limit massive congregations of players. I saw how the AoP operated and it was crazy how much information was being spread through that. It was not done through the in game alliance system. As for PvPing in this game it's basically cheat when you can as often as you can as hard as you can grats you're a winner. The people have to compensate for the fact they have no talent or skill by cheating. ~Lotus
  22. They need to make it so you can pick allies only then remove the alliance limit so you can control who builds where rather than a new taming trap every day. ~Lotus
  23. For PvE not having tenants should make a huge difference IMO. That way people can't be toxic cause they have the land. It should be more of a civil service to help people not something you go on a power trip with. If they want to remove people it's crappy but that is why I want upkeep to be brutal for land with no tenants that way they can kick people out but they are just owning themselves by doing so. The one guy said it in game and the other guy said it in discord. I reported both. There;s other changes they should put in. The current problem with land is some of the bigger tribes did take more land than they should have. (I have seen 1 tribe with 4 small islands) I believe that they should have to pay an extra 250% upkeep on each island for that. If you make it so having a bunch of small islands costs you a lot on top of not having tenants a lot of the smaller islands will clear up. I have also noticed people trying to sell islands which is wrong imo. They should make it so you don't want to hold extra land because it hurts you too much. Gold is far to easy to come by and so people can afford to pay it in hopes of getting something you can't currently buy. If that island was costing somebody 1-2k a day they would want to drop it asap which they should. With that said the rules would look like this: Upkeep = 20x point value. Settlers = 25% discount each. Extra island = 50% increase on upkeep per island. So 35 point island = 700g/day, 1 settler 525/day, 2 settlers 394/day 70 point island = 1400/day, 1 settler 1050/day, 2 settlers 788/day 105 point island = 2100/day, 1 settler 1575, 2 settlers 1181/day This is where the sliding upkeep system screws the greedy guys (There's a lot of them) with +50% per island. 2 x 35 point islands = 2100/day, 1 settler on 1 island would make it 1837/day , 1 settler on each island would make it 1575/day, 2 settlers on 1 island with 0 on another would be 1641/day. The breakdown of this would be (35 x 20 = 700 x 1.5 (cause 2 islands) = 1050 x .75 (settler) = 788 x .75 (settler) = 591) + (35 x 20 = 700 x 1.5 (2 islands)= 1050) = 1641. 70 + 35 point islands = 3150/day 3x35 point islands = 4200/day 4x35 point islands = 7000/day (Just wanted to put that in there cause screw people that do stuff like that) The idea is that having 1 big island should be cheaper than a bunch of little islands. The other thing they need to do though is make the islands more balanced where the bigger islands have more variety so they are worth more. Currently though abusing the lawless system is the current meta but that is a discussion for another time. ~Lotus
