  1. I absolutely hate being in the deep water. If I fall overboard I will start to panic in real life it is so creepy. Please tell me I'm not the only one ....
  2. Can confirm as well. I remember reading this before I went to bed last night and said to myself " damn that sucks hope that don't happen to me" and it did. I had a schooner and it was built and launched and I log in a few minutes ago there is no evidence of a ship being there except my crew floating in the water. I've lost at least 5 ships due to having a full crew and birds landing on the deck and since someone helped me figure that out I haven't lost a ship until today. I had 12/18 crew. I was having fun and was looking forward to playing today never mind now. They need to get to the bottom of this right now.
  3. I could be doing it wrong it seems I am unable to tame monkeys on the PTR. Last slot has fruit they keep taking the fruit but there is no progress bar and no chance to tame. They just keep eating.
  4. I just have no interest whatsoever in killing people. I would rather help someone. Also , I know myself enough to know that if I ever did PvP on any game I would be a total effing jerk. If someone kills me or takes my stuff I would devote ALL my time to making that someones life miserable (LOL) That's why I don't do PvP
  5. Sad as this sounds after losing a few ships(nothing in the logs) it was discovered that birds were landing on the ship getting stuck that was at capacity for crew and sinking them. Maybe if you were at capacity with crew try to keep a few spots open and since Ive done that haven't had one sink for "no reason"
  6. I really thought when I saw the landlord/tenant thing it would be IDK something like the game Wurm Unlimited where you got a settlement token and could expand depending on finances. I am NOT interested in being a tenant or a slave. Also I am a solo player and I will NEVER join a company I want to do my own thing whenever and however I want. Why does it seem like this is all more complicated than it needs to be? I'm not interested in hoarding land or resources or taxing people to collect resources. I just want a nice spot of land thats mine and maybe if I have a few extra coins or some other criteria and the need to I can expand it. I want my own settlement where I can have parking for people who want to trade and shops and a tavern-all kinds of stuff. It just feels that because of the way I choose to play I'm being pushed out. I will just have to wait and see how everything is implemented. If its how I think it will be (solo players getting the shaft) I just won't play anymore.
  7. Thank you for responding. I have been looking for answers for days because this is stopping me from playing the game. I was sailing everywhere never saw/experienced this before. I was pretty close to the border trying to leave Freeport they lit me TF up and then the manta rays ate me to add insult to injury . This along with the Alphas seems too OP and I'll just continue to sit out until it gets sorted out. I really hope it does because I want to play right now but it seems like it would just be an exercise in frustration
  8. I am convinced the patch that dropped before the auto cannon patch broke them. The patch that I got that morning at first there was 2 that spawned, then 5 eventually 15 all the others except for the 2 initial ones (21 SOTD I could count altogether) insta spawned surrounding me and sank me. 21 SOTD is that normal? According to one of the previous patches patch notes (7.3 I think not sure) it says they wasn't supposed to spawn so close to players. I haven't played since that day and that sucks because all I want to do is play this game. As a solo player though I'm not interested in collecting all the resources and building a ship every RL day and a half. I haven't built any cannons as I don't see a need for it as a PvE player. I don't understand why they are allowed to attack ships that don't have firepower and are not a threat to them.
  9. If you're not on a sand bar or rock and the sea is deep only thing I can think of is you are overweight. I had the same issue a few days ago and once I got rid of the extra weight I was able to take off.
  10. Is fishing broken? Has anyone caught fish off of a boat?
  11. Latest patch downloaded this morning. I managed to collect enough resources to build a schooner. Sailing away from Freeport and less than 5 minutes after leaving the island I built my ship on 2 SOTD spawned in front of me and as I corrected course to avoid them 2 became 5 and 5 became 15+ with another 6 along the side of a glacier. So 21 SOTD altogether. They instantly spawned all around me and surrounded me. Is this a bug or working as intended? v7.32- Improvements made to -lowmemorymode to use async loading, resulting in less freezy load times.- Added -nosound launch command- Added -noinlinestreamer launch command- Server-side crash fixes and stability improvements- Army of the Damned Ships will no longer initially aggro to drydocked or anchored ships, unless fired upon by them or already targeting them.- Reduced Army of the Damned ships spawn rate by 60%- Reduced Army of the Damned ship HP per level scaling by 20%- Reduced Army of the Damned ship Aggro range by 10%- Boosted Army of the Damned ship loot quality by 10%- Reduced Flotsam spawn rate by 35%- Increased Treasure map item quality by 15%- Eliminated at-sea increased rate of vitamin/vitals consumption. Now it just causes food to spoil faster, and temperatures to drop.- Increased vitamin equilibrium range to +/- 20% rather than 10% (making it easier to achieve and stay in equilibrium)- Decreased vitamin deficiency debuff threshold to 10% rather than 20%- Reduced base rate of vitamin consumption by 2%- Ensured army of the damned ships spawn farther away from shore, and don't spawn too near player ships The last line from the patch notes means that what happened to me was not supposed to happen. They didn't approach me from a distance, they insta spawned all around me. Edit: They sank my Schooner earlier. This incident I was in a ramshackle sloop. Also to include patch notes from the last time SOTD was mentioned in the release notes.
