  1. This issue still persists, random need for foundation support on a ship far below build limit is not something we should have to deal with.
  2. PVP: Empires (northern half) Colonies (Southern half) Now that would actually have made sense.
  3. I couldn't agree more. Please just give us a setting we can adjust. We really need this.
  4. Yep, that's exactly how we're experiencing it, the rider has rubberbanding while to a bystander it looks like the tame is just walking slowly.
  5. i can still craft and place wooden ceilings.
  6. Also current weight on ships does not update
  7. Just wanna know if others are having this issue after patch 22.1 GUI for tames are not updating, weight carried for instance shows a constant number My elephant still gets oerweight and moves slowly etc, but it still shows the same weight as it had after update/server restat Same with healt, stamina, etc
  8. More story, more npc's, more life. NPC merchant ships that are actually sloops/schooners/etc. If your company are pirates you could sink/loot npc ships. Otherwise you could sell materials to them (and buy things as you already can) A company reputation system. If you kill the crew on an npc ship you could claim the ship. NPC pirates that randomly attack you. NPC navy that pays you for sinking pirates but attack you if you're on their wanted list. That kind of stuff. Why is this a good idea even for PVP? Flavour. And to make smaller, private servers more interesting. And to make it more of a pirate game.
  9. Guess that explains why the u.s currency is named after the illuminati leader 50 cent!
  10. OMG that's the infamous dollar bill symbol on that sail! It was the federal reserve all the time!
  11. M12 was actually doable to me. Finally young again.
  12. Just turn on offline raid protection in PVE. Our stuff would take no damage as long as it still belongs to us (hasn't been claimed by others), or the timer has run out (for lawless zones). This simple change, that is already in the Ark code, would make the game playable. -If you don't play for a day or two, you can expect to find everthing still there (after all, it's PVE) -You have time to immediately check your ships for weight and your tames for food when you get on Actually I would suggest the same for PVP, with the exception to include a timer after logoff before raid protection kicks in. The way it is now you need players in your tribe online 24/7, and i would prefer to stay less than 500 members in my company.
  13. I would love a server that limited the company size to say 25. Even so what this game needs on any server is higher limit on players per square and servers able to handle it. There's so much this game wants to do that can't be done because you can't have a large part of the player base gather in one location. One of these things is fountains of youth. You need at least 500 player capacity on those servers in particular to successfully implement the feature, and should really have that limit or higher on any map, to allow for large scale trade, naval battles, events, etc. And the servers must be able to handle all 500 with virtually no lag whatsoever. Otherwise, small companies will be the only sensible way to play the game, what is the point of having a large company is nobody outside your compay can fit inside your grid???
  14. Only blueprints I find are fine thatch floors and the like. idc what durability% bonus that thach hut has tbh. But ofc i could do more treasure hunts once my friends are up for it while online. The times we did the maps didn't work and failed to show us the beacon though. Except that one time when we had leather armor and swords and shields and got wiped by skeletons in 1 minute. All in all, love the game but back on topic there's no reason why any creature should ignore walls and attack the inside of intact buildings. And Cobras are the worst, there's simply no excuse for their ingame behaviour or abilities.
  15. If this is Ark gimme my Tek rifle plz
  16. Just had a lvl 222 Alpha Cobra attack my only base on claimed land. It decided to attack everything made of wood. I stayed inside for a minute to avoid getting zerged but althogh the outer walls are stone it still glitched through and attacked from under the stone floor. As I ran out to try distract it it ignored me even when i attacked it with my bow. It noticed me occationally and oneshot me before continuing its cruisade vs my modest houe. It proceeded by destroying my storage, smithy, and tannery inside my stone house and killing me everytme i spawned in my bed even though technically the Cobra was still outside. Tried my pistol but guess what it did 8 damage. Then it ate my bed. Maybe I'll sail up there in time before my hungry neighbours grab my claim. Maybe. All my gear is gone anyway. Alphas are gods. You can technically kill them and I get they're supposed to be a rare extra strong example of their species but what is this godlike snake ffs
  17. I do that to park my ships neatly, but close your sails and press S on a raft? Well that just makes you walk backwards and get wet. As for real world rafts, rudders are more common than sails are, and staking is the way to back off. If any ingame floating vessel is to be impossible to get stuck it should the raft!
  18. To me the no rudder/raw sail mechanic *kind* of makes sense but then if the wind is directly against you and you turn the sail almost 180, why does the raft not reverse even slightly......?
  19. So every shipyard in the game is designed to be perfect raftcatchers, and since rafts have a horrible turnradius, once you realize you're heading fo one it's often too late to avoid it, or you have to choose between leaving the raft where it is or ramming it into one. Not as annoying for me after i more or less stopped using rafts, but now my own shipyards get random rafts stuck in them instead. Any thoughts? Possible to change raft mechanic and/or shipyard design? Allow rafts to reverse perhaps?
  20. Tried salvaging a sunken ship right outside our shipyard today. We have a resource box onboard the brigantine we dove from, and used a diving suit attached to the same ship. No resources in my inventory, and nothing in the resource box, apart from some wood and stone from a campfire i demolished that went into my inventory. The planks and sails gave exactly nothing. This is clearly a new bug as it used to work as intended.
  21. if someone were to log off on my ship while overweight just to immobilize it, then at least i would have their company name, character name, steam id...... IMO the main problem is that griefers are able to do this anonomously. If they're still there I know who they are and can do something. Just disarm them, by taking away their ability to sink our 100+ hours builds in 1 minute even on PVE
  22. All of these sound reasonable. However, with 1 and 3 you could still climb onto a ship and your buddy could bring you stacks of weight in several turns until your weight was over the ship's limit. I think we need a more direct solution. My suggestion would be to not let anchored ships take any damage from weight or crew period. Once you raise the anchor however the ship sinks if overcrowded or overweight. This could be implemented for PVP as well as PVE to avoid any griefing by using this exploit.
  23. SO we sailed a schooner over clear water when we stopped dead in the water suddenly, and took 1200 damage per second to several planks until we sank. Investigating the site we found a levitating cannon in suspended animation above the water surface, with a skeleton manning it, and a few barrels and crates, all SoTD debris. Hitting that was like hitting a steel wall full speed. If debris from SoTD is left in the ocean it should either be less solid than your avarage rocky island; or it should be on the bottom of the sea, not levitating over it. In my comapny we say nay to rock solid unmovable levitating indestructable ghost ship debris. Location: just northwest of the northwestern island (Farnterre Enclave) in B8; Siren's Call (EU PVE) Thank you in advance for looking into this.
  24. I'm an 80 year old holocaust surviv...... oh wait, I'll follow my own suggestion and stick to topic. To be cIear, I'm personally not offended. The fact that I feel the reference is obvious is the combination of player name, wordplay concerning multiple meanings of the abbrevation SS, and the word "Buchenwald" which to many, many europeans is best known as a concentration camp even if that's not the case in countries which didn't had their citizens sent there during WW2. Like I said, whether it was intentionally a reference can still be debated, but what an amazing coincidence it would be if these players are in fact germans and did this unknowingly.... So, by "you", were you referring to me? Because i certainly wouldn't call you a racist for not marking down a TV 20%, nor did I say it was obvious the players in question in this topic are in fact racist.
  25. What i fail to understand reading all the posts of this thread is, if you don't have extremist views yourselves why turn this into a discussion about who is worst, Stalin, Hitler, or Columbus. What is being pointed out here is an obvious reference to a WW2 concentration camp and the fact that it is offensive. I agree that this is a topic that may be discussed to a certain extent, but this is turning into a political debate way beyond topic and some people here are starting to reveal their own political sympathies rather than debating the topic. So, ON topic, first i'd say it would be very naive and/or apologetic to read the name of the ship as anything other than a reference to said concentration camp. Second, does that make the gamers who made it nazis? Probably not. It is likely trolling or an attempt at humor, although potentially offensive to some and possibly in bad taste. Third, the company name is most probably a reference to a well known somali politician and human rights activist, although they spelled it wrong. This further enforces the "trolling" thesis. Lastly, if meant humoristic and as a prank, is the theme of 1940's nazism/fascism forbidden to make jokes about? 80 years..... too soon? However, if the company behaves in a manner that makes them appear blatantly racist, or if they offend other players in general, I too would report them like I would report anyone else for the same reasons, at the very least if the offenses are repeated. Use the ticket system however, we don't really need to know if you like feminists or not or if you dislike stalin more than djenghis khan.... we just wanna be pirates
