  1. It feels like Atlas wants to have a future where players build and inhabit cities on the new islands, which I think is awesome. I'm the architecture nerd, and love that aspect, and I'm excited to see that the game has some trends in that direction. That said, there's some real problems with it..mostly, the lag. We built a city on top of a mountain, with players building houses inside the walls and with a harbor below. And honestly, on mid level machines it was a lag fest. It looked great and was super fun, but loading in was a nightmare. If we had more options of building blocks, it would help alleviate a lot of these problems though. Larger foundation and wall pieces which cost appropriately increased amounts of resources, and had appropriately increased HP, would be a fantastic start! If instead of laying a 1 square foundation 16 times for a small 4x4 building, I could lay a single 4x4 foundation piece I have to believe it would drastically reduce the system resources required to function! Similarly, a 4 square tall wall built of individual walls is a HUGE number of individual pieces, but if we could build walls in reasonable sections, we could do so much more with so much less lag! We also really need more options for gates and doors. The large gates are too tall, we don't have T-Rexes that we need to park inside them! The fact that there is no 2x2 door, roof door or ceiling door is SO limiting! Please, a lot of these are not major changes and would be possible with just some tweaks of existing models to scale/adjust them or to weld multiple pieces that exist already into single pieces instead. Help us build the cities of Atlas without building the lag farms of Atlas at the same time!
  2. Previously tamed bear having the same problem, was leveling before, but appears to be receiving no xp now.
  3. I'm playing 'as intended'. I'm on a PVP server. I went and risked getting to the island. I can no longer play, because the server is full and camped, and I can't connect to my character after the game dumped me off. I've now been unable to connect to the game for hours. Devs, call this shit what it is - you were stress testing a server and it clearly failed the stress test. Your servers are still garbage once more than 100 people connect, and your lack of ability to support large populations on any given server make the idea of the 'Fountain of Youth' untenable and toxic. I can't even respawn to a new region because the game requires that you load into the full region before spawning to another region. Effectively, I'm locked out of the game because I tried to play it. That's pretty clearly not working.
  4. Fix everyone's age to 20, because this shit is unfair to punish players for having financed this clusterfuck for you. Then fix how fast people age, because you shouldn't age 1 year per 10 game days. Make aging a reasonable thing that makes something resembling sense. THEN and ONLY ONCE the systems are functioning for combating aging, do you patch in penalties for age and screw people over.
  5. Or they could fix the ridiculous aging. The game has a day counter, and an in game day/night cycle that is in character accurate. But somehow in less than 365 days of in character game time, we've aged dozens of years.
  6. I'm posting this here because I'm not actually sure if this is a bug or just a really weird map that's incredibly hard to read. Does anyone else feel like the map of their island is either of the wrong island, or just flat out wrong? I realize that island clusters are copied between servers rather than each being unique, but it feels like the maps just don't accurately represent the islands in their cluster in some cases.
