  1. @Wrecki First point, it's PVE. If it was pvp i wouldn't say a thing. All is fair in war and i would probably do it myself. Second point, i had no clue people were doing that and it never occurred to me, so stick the the elitist snarkyness BS where the sun doesn't shine. I've lost 2 ships in 2 days one to a bug that stuck my ship in a giant rock that wasn't even there when i closed my sails, one to this griefing crap. Players have no business deliberately sinking other players ships on a PVE server under any circumstance. Third point, if someone can use it to sink another players ship in a game environment where players sinking your ships is expected to not happen, then it needs to be fixed immediately. Fourth point, i know a sloop has a lower deck. i put my boxes there and put a hatch at the rear that's empty space to give my char a place to sleep while i'm offline since i can't seem to find a square inch to build a proper base(separate gripe, not appropriate for discussion here). I've tried to stick a smithy underneath, it wouldn't place. Why should i have to put it under there just to keep some random griefer from deliberately sinking my ship in the first place? Nobody is supposed to be running around destroying other peoples stuff in PVE. That is why it's PVE. " What you experienced isn't a bug, its your own negligence. It wasn't even a weight exploit, good lord. I'm just tossing out a wild guess, but you might be one of the people doing it, so assuming that to be true, on behalf of everyone that's fallen victim to this exploit and or poor design decision, please allow me to impart our sentiments on their behalf. FU You can feel free to leave my thread now.
  2. The simplest solution is to just copy and paste the already existing code to lock down every work station in the game with a pin code just like doors and storage boxes already have. If it has an inventory you can place things into, pin code it. It wouldn't stop a group from jumping on your ship and standing there until it sinks from too many passengers but at least the lone troll scumbags that want to pvp on a pve server couldn't do it so effortlessly. If i forget to set the code, well shame on me. If i don't have the option, shame on you Grapeshot. There's a guy running around on the island i'm at doing this to any ship he can just to seal the salvage materials right now. It's a serious enough exploit issue to justify an emergency unscheduled hotfix because there's no way he's the only one doing it.
  3. i just logged in to find the ship i just finished last night and sailed once was sunk because someone overloaded it by filling up my smithy on the deck. This renders anything without a usable lower deck insecure and useless. No point building it if someone can sink it by mining a few stones for a few minutes. Why the hell can anyone i didn't give permission to put ANYTHING in my ship? Add pin codes to any and all stations in PVE. To not do so means you are considering these griefing actions in PVE to be acceptable. They are not. I don't know if i even want to play now. What's the point?
  4. I approached shore on open water, slowed then dropped sails. as soon as i dropped the sails a boulder appeared around my ship and over the top of the deck. The ship is literally inside the middle of the boulder. IGN Primordius Caveman. Ship name SS Numbnuts Sector F11 NA PVE Could an admin please move my ship? i just spent all day building that thing.
