  1. Hmm well we summoned 1.0 with a galleon. I had the missus up front with her 9 stones and i was at back with all the stones.

    Anyone got a list of the ptr patch notes?? I noticed it was online last night but can't see notes on it. Since you have to do a large download to play ptr and then another to go back to official i wanted to see the changes to weigh up whether or not to check it out?

  4. Hmmmm polls could be made where you have to vote with your steam acc logged. Show results with an agreed, disagreed and no vote percentage.
  5. Name change tokens for ships/players. Ability to change your characters looks. Loot added to mythical creatures like hydras kraken and ice boss.
  6. Hardly tek in comparison to a sub or torpedos. For pvp make them a placement only weapon that can finally out range cannon bears. In pve this weapon if used on a cargo saddle could be a viable option to take to golden age which are islands that by far do not get enough use. Obviously they need to have a low damage and low ammo resource cost. Something that would deter people with tames and kill high level golden age creatures but not high enough to drop a fire elemental or cyclops in seconds either.

  8. Vit amin system is easily navigated and has a great buff. You can easily leave your island to sail with just a water barrel and eat with flotsams. The claim system is also a great idea i think, you can have a place to call your own and get taxes while also being able to be found by just looking at the world map. I do however agree with the poster. There should be loot from boss mobs like kraken and hydras to add more repeatability to them. The game by no means is perfect but i do like that they aren't afraid to try new things and that for such a small team they are rather quickly developing content.

  10. Yea i understand the player ban can be abused but on the other hand many island owners have been griefed with spam, myself included. Havinh to spend the best part of an afternoon removing spam on a small island was bad enough i can't fathom what larger island have to go through. The rapid decay system was a godsend though even though it can still be worked around.
  11. A pinwheel to summon the kraken you want. Magic. An attachment for balistas to pick up flotsam. Or draftnets you can attach to side of your ships maybe. An armor that gives equal hyperthermal insulation that fur gives hypothermal. An accordion song that does harvesting. A stable you can put all your tames in like cryofridge in ark to reduce server load and animal maintenance. A skill in captaineering that adds ship speed and/or sail effective range. Sunken ship loot shoulf have alot more food and songs (atleast 3x) Animal tracker similar to arks gps tracker. Ofcourse this can't be electric but maybe a whistle/call device that has distance of the grid would be nice. Cannons that fire from gunports to not fire in parallel line but all focus on the point you aim at. For all treasure maps to be located near sea level and obtainable by atleast a crab since they nerfed swivels. Cargo rack speed debuff to be reduced by 50% to make it a viable option to carry your ships full capacity of racks without being a slow moving suicide boat. The ability to see atleast whats in player shops via the atlas homepage (not the price just what's in them) to see if it's viable to make the journey and to promote trade. In game company recruitment channel or menu like WoW. The ability for companies to ban players or companies from building and griefing their islands. For rhinos to gather metal from normal stones and get metal weight reduction (or a new tame that does this) Freeports to have hides and keratins at rescource vendor for a price. An option to board your ship from anywhere by use of pinwheel or keybind much the same as tames. A do not collect berries/herbs option for harvesting tames. (A giraffe in polar will get thousands in on head swing and 100 thatch) Water caves with loot like sunken ships. Reduce gorgons stun time significantly. Have specific rescource gains for less used tames (tiger for hides lion for meat wolf for keratins ect) The ability for crabs to pick up bears in pve. Revert the change to crabs ability to jump above 40% weight in pve since it has no relevent affect on gameplay there and was advertised as a weight moving tame in the first place. The ability to throw water skins at fire elementals to deal huge dmg (this would be funny as hell, cmon guys) That's all i can think of at this point in time.
  12. I think alot of players will return when there is just more content. You can plow through all the endgame stuff with a small group of people in a couple of weeks. People aren't happy doing day to day things. Part of the reason ark made it so you needed to tame almost every dino to have kibble for everything.
  13. Tbh sunken treasure is not bad for crew payments in a pinch. I would like to see them add like 5x food and songs to them. Lets be honest if a ship goes down there should be alot more items on the ship than 1 small box from the ship.

  16. I just think the vastness of the game puts alot of people off. The fact you need to do so many discoveries to get a higher level. The fact you need to goto multiple places to make your end game gear. People these days have an attention span that can be measured in nanoseconds. This game can be a casual player game if people want it to be. Casual players want to achieve what end game companies do, this can be done with significantly higher hours put into the game. There is a reason why most games make last seasons tier gear available for heroic/expert dungeon runners in other games. I am in what i would consider a medium company (8 active members) and we have achieved all endgame content with the exception of kraken 2.0. Me and the wife did all the powerstones together (yep 2 people all 18) twice once with mains and did first 9 again with alts to summon kraken 1.0 (yea there needs to be an option to summon the kraken you want) our company did kraken 1.0 with a galleon and a brig (5 people in total 3 on brig 2 on galleon) ice cave only the missus and i can do at the moment and we teamed up with people via the forums. My point is people don't like a challenge. People don't like investing hours of travel and farming time into making that awesome mythical gun the found. People don't want to relly on an animal that in RL would woop your ass to get high end maps done. And then there are the people like me and a few others playing who wouldn't have it any other way.
  17. We just lost a sgip that was piloted less than 2 days ago. It had plenty of rss and crew to repair with gold and food. All log says is that ship was removed from company.
  18. We don't need the raze like they had it. We need an option to reject specific people or companies. This could be done by putting the company id in the claim like before wipe. Make it so they are notified and then they can no longer refresh their timers. Would have to give them a week on the remaining timer and then remove it.
  19. Cryo pods for ships. Sounds funny but i would use it. If this ever happened you can be sure that no structures would remain on the ship in this process.

  21. I am an island owner i have a company of about 20 people. I have claimed a island when they increased the base points from 30 to 70 i would have liked to have raised it as the previous owner dtill has a substantial base he renderers in but he doesn't seem to fo anything with. (No animals and never any tax coming in) this is space other settlers could use. I do also have multiple farming hubs on islands i do not own and yes they could be razed if someone claims or reclaimed the island. I am still not clear on whether or not a warning to remove your belongings would be given or if this also destroyed the person who claimed the islands structures. If this removed ALL structures it would greatly reduce the risk to many farming hubs since most people have substantial bases built, this coupled with the 25k cost would deter most. If a 48h warning was given before the raze took place all active people could remove all items and rss put them on an anchored boat the just rebuild what they needed. Sure it is an inconvenience but hardly a game breaker. The is far too many people rendering bases they don't use and this would have resolved that issue.
  22. I say keep the skills but give a buff. Or a hindrance if you dont have it. Maybe lose 20% of the extra stats the crafted item gives. So anything over the 100% for weapons anf stats for armor. It is enough of a bonus to want to still use the items buy also enough of a hindrance to want to get the skills.
