  1. They have done nothing but nerf those mythical creatures. They intended for animals to be used for pve raiding, that much was made clear by the announcement trailer. That's fine, tames can be scaled differently against pve situations. You can change the damage they receive from npcs. In my gear I can actually take on alphas no problem. It gets annoying when theres knockback, but alphas are supposed to be alpha, difficult to kill. Their counterparts in ark were done better. Give them random high quality bps, increase their difficulty, and decrease their spawn rates. Make them an event of sorts, but their existence shouldn't mean you need to have stronger tames. If they nerf tames, they dont have to nerf their carry weight or gathering capabilities. Keep them as efficient harvesting mediums and pack mules. My vote it to weaken tames in a pvp sense. They're too important right now. Why ever even bother with weapons or catapults? They should be easier to kill by players, and easier to tame in general. Faster, at least. Make cannons effective against boats and gates. Catapults against stone structures like walls and ceilings. Balista against mythical creatures. In a pvp sense though, for a pirate game, you cant play without tames.
  2. Can we get a structure or beast mastery feat that allows you to summon or tether animals? Think like force teleporting your animals to a boat. This could help prevent animals phasing through floors as you could just summon them to the pole, or keep them from running off too far while on neutral/aggressive.
  3. tools should be superior to animals at higher quality, and I'm fairly certain they are at mythic. Your paradigm for pve is clearly not relevant to my statement as I've been talking about warfare and combat. Keep your tames at 1000% health on pve, who cares. Its uninteresting for pvp.
  4. Literally if you read my first post it stated the game should be balanced, not realistic. How in 2019 are you using realism as a point for games? You wanna talk realism, go ahead and tell me how many pirates road bears and kept penguins. Literally the tools do harvesting. But if animals were specific to harvesting that would be fine, lowering their health wouldn't touch that aspect. Infact that's what I'm advocating. Is that animals are more specific to harvesting and less for pvp. Its nuts, all you ever see is bears and horses toting cannons or swivel guns. Literally ruins guns and melee weapons. Weapons should be less niche than animals.
  5. Rofl. Inside caves? Powerstones? Are you kidding me? Have you tried to fight those bats with a sword when you cant even walk through players. Guns for long distance. Right.. no kidding. Even then a blunderbuss hardly slows a bear down, and good luck reloading whe it's on you. Tames are the problem with the game because they render everything else secondary. Why even have picks or axes when an animal does everything better and survives better than a person?
  6. How is this good? By doing so you have removed the need for weapons. They've stated that they wanted to move away from tames in the past. They can absolutely reduce health. I have elephants with less health than bears. With tames there is literally no reason to have weapons. Why carry a sword when instead you could just have a bear on your boat? It ruins treasure hunts even. Never need to dismount. Very awesome pirate esque game.
  7. Reduce health of all tames. How is this a pirate game when people just jump off boats with bears on cannons? Bears are by far too strong. They can be tamed with berries, farm fiber and floor thatch, they sprint well, have high hp and good damage resistance. Have you looked at your melee skill tree? Its utter garbage. How is a mace ever viable? You literally run slower than a guy reloading, you get killed by tames, and cant even use them when mounted. Tames should not be the go to when defending or attacking on land, and as it stands, your typical battle, is far too tame dependant. Tame is literally the first tree everyone should go for, and that is poor design. Think balance, not realism.
  8. Well boys, let's get this more attention then. Repeating the fountain of youth event after all the time and effort gone into it already is miseravle.
  9. Looks like before the grid/server lock, I had gotten the fountain of youth in F8. I died, respawns, and triple checked I had gotten the effect. Game breaks, acts as though my character isnt spawned and as such he wont die, so I cant change servers. Stop playing, come back a couple hours later and we have grid lock. Manage to somehow get out of F8 and spawned in a Freeport. Then I notice I lost my fountain buff... then I notice I lost 5 levels.. I have pictures that show in company log the loss of levels vs the passage of time. This is NA PVP. Please give me my buff and levels back, I couldn't do that run again or level up so easily. Already I play on graveyard hours and have fallen victim to every single rollback. This is beyond nuts, I've lost days of work and this time with the fountain is crazy - it wasnt even enjoyable to do, and the lag made it take so long!
