  1. Well that sucks, Merlin. Maybe doesn't work if you're grounded? I reverse-park our ships every time we return home, so I know it definately works in general.
  2. On a raft, you're probably out of luck; they can't reverse and need to go forward to turn. On a ship with a wheel, you can set sails to 0% and hold down S to (extremely slowly) reverse, as Tez said above, and can also turn on the spot on 0% sail.
  3. I'll try it next time it buries itself. Never had the problem in Ark, as the Dino pens were on covered open ground. The only ones I kept on floors were ridable, so I rode them out when glitched.
  4. That would just swap Foundation spam for Foundation+wall spam, surely?
  5. Just admin this morning, most of my Co. is at work, and I have chores. Dug our cow out of the foundations (again), milked it, replaced the foundations, collected the eggs from the chicken coop, refilled the oil lanterns, checked the ships for weather damage and made the minor repairs.
  6. It's happening now. Two days ago you couldn't tell how many sail units each sail took up, now it's on there. This morning the ship costs were updated for V10.
  7. Is the crew limit not designed to stop 50 player zergs from landing on a single ship?
  8. The name depends on the sail type and size. Also not all sails use the whole image; just draw round the borders of the sail canvas, save it in game and modify that file. It'll give you the right filename format. Worth noting that some sails stretch the 256x256 image file out to 256x512 or 512x256 in game.
  9. Not tried oranges. Red, greens and cyan are all quite vivid though, so I suspect you might be out of luck. Give it a go and report back
  10. Most of our wall Lanterns are grey, you need a few more to fully light an area, but the glare and haze are way down. And before anyone asks; no, you can't tint torchlight.
  11. Makes a hell of a difference. Standard Lanterns Grey tinted Lanterns
  12. Tint a lantern with grey or black paint to tone down the brightness. White, grey or black paint on a lantern will give clean light.
  13. Double skin stone walls seem to do the trick, combined with leaving the ground floor empty.
  14. Tried that, Night. No dice, not on PVE, at least. Outside claimed area, inside our claimed area, anchored, free floating; nothing worked. Easy to give them the chicken though...
  15. Signed. I built a sloop for a stranded small company last week. They couldn't claim it, I couldn't unclaim it, but I *could* give them my tame chicken. Crazy. I really want to design, build, sell and even deliver bespoke, fully equipped ships. Why is there no mechanism to transfer ownership?
  16. Paint the sail region (not free drawing) white, fixed my sloop sail design.
  17. ... or a grill. And it's 5 berries of any kind and a (mostly) full waterskin or jug, for any colour of dye. Makes 5 shots of dye.
  18. You can turn stationary if the ship has a rudder. Doesn't help you, I know, but worth knowing if you beach anything else. As I have several times
  19. Tame and ride a bear; thousands of fibre and berries in a five minute run.
  20. Or can I give away a chicken but not sell a bespoke made-to-order ship?
  21. It's random on spawn, so it can happen. Our Island is mostly pigs, parrots and giraffes most of the time, with the occasional wolf. Sometimes a wolf spawns, kills a pig and another wolf takes the dead pig's place. Now there are two wolves that won't fight each other and they decimate the other pigs. Rarely, the dead pigs are replaced by yet more wolves and the place becomes a horror show until we do a wolf cull. Mostly the wolf takes on a giraffe before it all gets out of hand, and regrets it's life choices.
  22. Feel for you matey. We lost a fully loaded schooner and all our personal gear yesterday to this very thing; zoned into a Damned and couldn't run. Really does need a no-sail buffer for the NPC's.
  23. It's 256x256 for the flag, that then gets stretched to 512x256 in-game.
