  1. Ship Frames / Wrecks Once everything is salvaged the remainder of the wreck will vanish quickly. Crewmembers and Tames moving around / onto ships.. (seemingly) at random Put the crews on chairs while at harbor or leave them on a cannon (chairs are cheaper with wages; sails are also cheap). Make sure they are passive. If the crews are not seated, and on neutral, and at least 1 tame/crew IN THE ALLIANCE on aggressive anywhere nearby, then the crews will all rush to help each other. They also do respond to group whistles while sweeping the broom. Educate the people in your company / alliance.
  2. Let's just hope they do not do something stupid with the PVE upkeep building.
  3. The feed option will appear when you are close to the Head. And yes, the bear will try to bite you.
  4. I created a new Steam folder for ATLAS on a different disk steamapps/common/ATLAS -> 98 gb steamapps/downloading/834910 8 -> 93 gb You basically have the game two times. Everything in "downloading" seems to be from today, too. So much about 4.3 gb patch; This seems to be the "preallocating" part steam does. Likely it is just a copy from the already downloaded game, to merge the patch in before applying it to the game folder. Now the patch started downloading for real.
  5. I did start in a Tundra freeports a few times after bad things happened to my raft after sailing even further south (the whale...). The warmth of campfires stack. At night stay with them. You can use the campfire to store wood and meat. Stack the fortitude stat on level up. It slows vitamine depletion and shifts the temperature at which you take freezing damage. Until you have a set of fur clothing staying in tundra is tedious. In the end I left the tundra until I had my fur. After that it becomes a nice area. When you customize your sloop do build a cabin or other enclosed space for your bed and put a wardrobe with spare clothing next to it.
  6. I managed to kill myself by equipping a weapon and air-slashing while floating in a similar situation, until I my stamina was gone; afterwards keep slashing and your health will go down (later I would not be able to loot my corpse though, as it was on the raft, and I rather not tried to get onto it). This seems to be part of the prevent-weight-sinking changes (so gut they do something about this). I hope they do something about the floating though, as it is easy to get stuck without any bad intentions.
  7. Lol, now got lion'd while setting out to get stuff for new equipment. Guess I better move the anchoring spot. (got held in jaw on first jump by it, no armor, just some spears, , no way to do anything anyways because of the hold).
  8. The corpse keeps floating, too. Cannot see how to crab my things off it either. *sigh*
  9. Yep, I just wanted to run across a raft to get to my ship… now I am floating around on the raft with no way off. I am fully fed and no where near overweight, cannot even hook away or anything. - (figured out how to kill myself, just air-fight; of course now I lost quite some stuff.. to this stupidity, and I am certain it will happen again). Not everyone who steps on someone's ship / boat / vessel / raft wants to damage it. Now we cannot have guests, etc. ? (and btw, I had been running from some lv 24 giant snake, as my bow somehow had failed to equip; so I took the path that would get me as quickly as possible to my vessel)
  10. Some of us have applications on their raft. Smiths, or even only the campfires. With these not lockable your raft can be overloaded and destroyed. Having everything lockable would help against pve griefplay.
  11. Maybe for the PVE-Server it would be more playable, to make all grids "lawless" style with a decay (maybe more than 3 days for the non-starter zones, maybe increase decay days by harshness of the zone), than having this claim contest. Anything contest between players has to go away from PVE.
  12. 2nd raft I got stuck on the dry dock walls. Turn circle is stupidly HUGE on a raft too, one should expect to go backwards when you set the sail to 180°, but even that moves the raft forward into the dry dock wall.
